Well, they had to have a way to keep the items in stock and not have them depleted in hours... At least they're offering them at retail price, and you're able to get a discount if you'd like to use your ptz, and you get some ptz back if you do purchase an item. It's not great, but it's something. Besides, the next sales could have adjusted prices or different ptz totals...
 
Shop is lame. and the moderators of their facebook are a joke.
They deleted all my posts & banned me because I posted an example of one of their prizes and a question/statement

Something to this effect:
a $35 Blu-Ray will cost you 3500 tix. I had the exact amount in my post. I then posted I hope they dont consider SHOP as their 24/7 prize redemption they kept promising.
 
Well I just spent 285 points on a mousepad, so I could get in the extra redemption. Still have over 3600 points left, so hopefully I'll have a better chance to get a PS3. Fingers crossed.

Extra redemption? Obviously I've missed something. Not surprising since I never read their blog and I "watch" almost all of the video clips on Play with the sound muted.

Anybody wanna fill me in, or point me in the right direction to find out about this extra redemption?
 
spent about 2700 pts. to get SSF4 for $10 w/ free shipping and still got about 600 ptz. left hopefully I can get another couple hundred ptz. by next redemption and nab a psp bundle.

If you buy something on SHOP, you get into the bonus redemption. This is for Z-List members only
 
Where did you see that though? I've looked around Lockerz.com and I don't see it anywhere.

Edit: Never mind. Just checked my email. It mentions it there.

I just ordered skate 3 and used like 3500 points getting it for like $14 something with tax and free shipping. I have 400 points left over for the bonus redemption to grab another game I hope.

I managed to snag SSFIV for $4. I was off the last bit of points and figured I should probably have something left over for the redemption. Here's hoping I can snag something like Alan Wake or Bayonetta!
 
I wonder when they are going to charge me for my purchase....

I just have a hold on my PayPal account for my order total. I have a bad feeling about giving locker's money....
 
Does anyone else wonder if this "special redemption" will be the last redemption ever? Also I have a feeling they are going to say SHOP is what they meant when prizes would be in stock 24/7. To me if both are true than F That.. Seriously 31000 Points for a PS3. 3000+ Points for a Blu-Ray. Yeah you can gain 2000 points with videos on the double point special. But what then. 2000 is a LONG way from 31000 points. Not to mention they only add a couple of videos at a time. And dont give me this.. you can use your points to get a discount on items. Sorry I can still get it cheaper from other places.

That's a possibility, but we won't know until they tell us. They did say that the one time ptz increase of prizes was just that--a one time deal, but a lot of people think they'll increase again soon. There's no way to confirm or deny that, but with how often they are giving out double ptz, it's not out of the question. As for SHOP, I will say it isn't horrible, but it's not the end-all of online shopping. The pricing scheme is a bit off (I have 3,839 ptz and can get a $105 Kid Robot backpack for free, but not a $60 game? Odd...), but I'd say maybe the supply is affecting the amount of a ptz discount you get. Regardless, I'm thinking when they have a handful of nice, cheap DVDs, I'll just unload my ptz on them, but some of the items are really awkwardly priced (The Hangover DVD is $35.... Sheesh...)

I haven't checked out Lockerz in a long time but before all this Shop stuff, didn't they tell us that the price increase was only going to be 3x or 4x?

That was for the monthly redemption's not the prizes in SHOP.
 
wow, just saw the prizes for general redemption...total garbage. 13 pc games and a few mac items and just wallpapers...looks like they really want u to just use shop
 
I spent about 3850 on the American Hardcore DVD, the Meshuggah DVD, and the Nixon Lowdown watch. Not too bad, about $120 worth of stuff for free for a couple months of earning ptz. Wish the games were worth less ptz, but oh well. The Nixon watch doesn't hold a candle to the TokyoFlash watches, but I still like it.
 
Was about to bite on getting the sega genesis collection for 360 since it would only be $1.60 after I used my points, only to see they are charging $8 for shipping! $8!? Are they packing it in Polar Bear fur and then having it delivered by helicopter?

Hmm, you're right. I checked some of the other items, and they are looking the same... The $14.98 DVD I had gotten was only 273 yesterday, and now the same priced DVDs are coming up as 1420, and the $20 Meshuggah DVD (398 when I had ordered it) is now 2225. What the hell? Maybe the prices are going up because the stock is running out so quickly, but, as much of the supporter I was, I'm officially eating my words. They really need to come back and redeem themselves for anybody to stick with it any longer...

Yeah, the CD I had been considering more than doubled, from about 425 to 1000.

There is just simply no method to the madness in shop so far.

Agreed, sir. It makes no sense, I don't know if they are maybe doing this for people who get into shop right away or what. It makes no sense to more then 4x some of the items in value over a day.

They are really puzzling.

I do wish they would explain some of their actions, instead of just doing shit behind the scenes and leaving all of it's members guessing, month after month after month... But, I do believe that is part of their motto.
 
Man, the points discounts over on shop are really weak at the moment. To get just $3 off a DSi XL, you need nearly 100,000 points. If you have 1,279,733,248 points, you can get it for free. That’s right, you only need a little over one and a quarter BILLION points to get a free DSi XL!

Act fast people! These insane bargains surely wont last!

Wow.....did anyone get cancellation notices or just me? I got one for ordering the killers for around 650 points or so and they canceled it! And then the points arent showing back in my account (at least not yet). This is not what I expected seeing that this was my first time ordering form them.
 
I hope that with the reduced number of redeemable items they'll at least have more of each so stuff runs out in 20 seconds instead of 10.

I sure hope that's the case, because after the Ipod's are gone, there really isn't much for me to fall back to for secondary options. Knowing how lockerz runs things though, I'm certainly not counting on it.
 
Yeah, I just logged on and saw that it had been active for 7 minutes. I knew nothing that I'd want would be there, but I still tried to see what might still be available. When I went to http://ptzplace.lockerz.com/, I got the "prize redemption coming soon" page displayed. Which I guess means that they where already out of everything.

I don't know about you guys, but I'm coming to the end of the line with Lockerz. It's just not worth the time spent maintaining an account there.

Yeah, I'm able to access it now. Of course, everything but the wallpapers and the imac (which costs 10,000 more ptz than I have) is gone.

At this point, I feel like I have a better chance of winning the lottery than I do of redeeming for something that I might actually want.

There are few who are able to say they support Lockerz anymore. I know a lot of the LAB members aren't giving 100% anymore (not even 50%, even)... Hell, we haven't even had a LAB exclusive E-mail for as long as I can remember. We had gotten the hoodies we were promised (about five months after they accepted the second wave of LAB members) and they kept us moderately updated for awhile, but it seems like since SHOP opened, they've given us nothing. I just decided to spend my ptz on SHOP, and I'm glad I did. As much as I've held onto hope for Lockerz over the past ten months, I'm now with the majority. I was lucky enough to redeem some fairly decent items over the span of my membership, but it's ridiculous. I saw they posted the redemption was live on Facebook and it said "posted seven seconds ago" so I logged in, which took me about 12 seconds... And in the span of less than 30 seconds, everything except the iMac, one of the iPads and the desktops were out. When I refreshed, the iPad was out as well.
