Madden 10 League-OFFICIAL CAG LEAGUE (Tournament)- LOTS OF TEAMS AVAILABLE!

Sent the Colts guy a message, I'm hoping we get our game in tonight. Looking for 4-0, will probably have a hell of a time achieving that.
 
Ivanhood, I can try to play tonite, I still dont have a stable connection to the internet in my apartment but I may be able to sustain one for a period of time between 7 and 9...could that work?

I am all for the rule of declining all holding penalties. That shit happens probably on 40% of all my kicks and it has cost me in some situations.

Soodmeg, sometimes punting isn't an option. If you are down by 3 at the end of the game and a stupid holding penalty puts you out of FG range, then a glitch cost you the game.
 
RamesuThe1's Internet connection worked well enough for him to keep me scoreless for three quarters. I finally got a couple of decent drives together in the 4th, but the final score was 41-14, Broncos over Cowboys.
 
Just played Homeland in a defensive struggle (which is normally what my games are) and I won 23-13. Defensive struggle you say but there were 36 points scored. Well only one of them was an offensive TD. So in the last three games I have 3 offensive TDs all coming from Housh, I think I'll hang on to him for a while.

Good game though Homeland.
 
gg frankysox, I thought it was going to be close for a while. The key to the game for me was the 4th down in your red zone with over a minute left in the first half. Don't know what I was thinking throwing so short (even lost yards) and was forced to go for the field goal, which in turn gave you time to score again before the half and get the ball back in the second half. GG again and congrats on 4-0.
 
wow Hybrid I dunno about that one. 4th and long fake punt when you're up in the 1st or 2nd quarter? up by 21 and you're going for it on 4th and short instead of kicking a FG? I know we're playing to win here, but I might as well play random ranked matches if I wanted all the cheese I just had to deal with.

the first game was good, the one you conveniently lagged out of. oh well.

edit: fuck, i dunno why i even give a shit. i just didn't know we were playing like that here.

Hopefully most are not. I've had four games with the exact opposite. They have been nothing but classy opponents. Im hoping thats the norm and not the exception.
 
Moonknight when can you play our game? Hopefully you are not one of the many that is on some sort of vacation, I dont feel like going back 10 pages to find out. I am off tomorrow and would love to get it in then.

Rams eek out another victory 28-21 against the 49ers —$even after Steven Jackson got knocked out. Pretty good game, though I don't know what RAMSTORIA was thinking a few times. It was 4th and a mile, and he went for it. Another time, I think he was trying to get me to call my punt return team on without waiting to see if he'd call punt. He let the play clock run down to 1, called a timeout, then let it run down again before finally punting. Weird.

yeah, that 4th down was a risky call, but i was only 1 yard short of picking it up. as for the botched punt, i was frantically trying to make subs to do a fake punt and ran out of time. it was a good game though, i played some sloppy defense, jackson scored on one touchdown where the old "switch to the wrong defender" happened, i switched to a defender, went to who i wasnt expecting, dived, big hole for jackson. oh well. on the plus side, i did have the greatest td ever, battle caught short pass, slipped in the rain, but falling actually had him avoid the tackle, he gets up runs it in for a 40 yard td.

Ahh, I figured he was thanks and you know I am always willing to put the smash on ya ;). You are a good percentage of why my defense is so good, I test out everything on you first. Which reminds me, my new blitz package is hot fire. I am getting some legit quick pressure on Qbs.

Also, I finally beat that fucking Lions/Skins madden moment yesterday.

Hey man! I'm surprised you like that one more than your Gore TD. He had about six of my guys on him near the line of scrimmage, bulldozed them over and ran for about 50 yards.
 
I told my cousin about the open slot and he would like to play...

that gore td was nice too, when he broke away i couldnt believe it. but the battle td was just too slick, he fell down at the perfect time and was able to get up and run it back.
 
Well if he is unable to post, that would be a problem. If he posts in this thread, he's welcome to take the spot. Since he'll need to communicate, he'll have to be active in reading the thread and sending/responding to PMs and what not.

I would like to put in a request to switch from the Bengals to another team when one is available. This team is horrible. It would be different if I was a fan and picked them because I wanted to play as my team, but it's not like that. If this Redskins deal falls through, I'll gladly switch to them.
 
Sure pitfall. I totally understand. I'll give this guy till tomorrow afternoon, and if he's not in the league by, say, 3:30 EST, go ahead, drop the Bengals and take the Redskins.

So, any chance you can play by 10 P.M. Eastern one of these nights? Tomorrow is preferable. I would have said tonight, but it's storming here (first rain in months) and we've lost power a few times. The first time, my Xbox was on and red ringed, but I tried it again and it seems to be fine. I just don't want to risk it again.

Unbelievable, I can't believe I tried to run some plays to keep things a little interesting and I tossed it right to your player. I knew pitches were risky, but I didn't think I'd pitch it to the other team. Man, this game just flat out hates me. I was hoping you'd take a knee since you don't want to be the Bengals anyway, heh. That game we just played was bananas. I'm down 27-7 entering the 4th. I won 28-27.

I scored with a little over 2:00 left, and the score was 27-20. He got the ball back, and I couldn't stop the run and he made a couple first downs. I burned through my timeouts, and the clock was running down. 48 seconds left, and he tried a pitch and this is what happened:

I've never had anything like that happen. All you had to do was take a knee, man. It would have been over. So I get the ball back, complete a pass, and then the next play was this:

That was the greatest game of Madden I've ever experienced, but I still hate the Bengals. Good game, UMX.

GG Chargers-- Could not get anything going that d line was just smashing through every play! Very defensive game-- I held my breath when big Ben got hurt on the first drive haha.

I have had contact with my week 4 opponent via PM's on CAG and I have sent him a friends request via XBL. He did PM me back yesterday asking what time would be good for us to play but it seemed he was never back on CAG yesterday to check if I replied back with a time. Unless week 4 is extended past Monday night tonight is the only night left I can play because I am going away for the holiday weekend.
 
just a heads up to DT again, i will be out of town beginning friday morning until monday afternoon. so our week 5 match will have to wait until monday around 3 or 4 PST at the earlist. im assuming the league is not going to advance tonight.
 
Depending on games played by the end of the night, I may extend it to tuesday night because of the weekend. Only 6 games have yet to be played, including mine (which should be played today) and 1 team which I know right now is away.

Would you guys want a Friday night deadline or a Tuesday deadline?
