Madden 11 League-OFFICIAL CAG LEAGUE-That's all folks! Mini-tourney still coming tho!

I know... It's not EA's servers, but just Madden's. NHL rarely has problems. It pisses me off, too, since my games with Eddie last season were amongst the most fun I've played in Madden 11, and it's a divisional game.
 
I don't know what to tell you. Since it seemed like an even matchup, I don't think it would be that bad to sim it, would it? I really don't want to hold up the league beyond today and you guys don't seem to have a time setup with the Bears running out the door.
 
Bills if you want to play tonight then that's fine with me, I don't have class tomorrow until 12:30 so I'll be up probably until around 3 a.m. EST or so. If you wanna wait til tomorrow then I'll be available after around 3 p.m. EST.

Pretty uneventful game. Joe Flacco threw 3 TD's and orchestrated the offense pretty well all game, only having to punt the ball away twice all game. Ray Rice helped control the clock by gaining some bruising yards on 2nd and 3rd downs. Keith Rivers is unblockable apparently and almost single-handedly kept Ray Rice under control.

GG Ahmadulation. Looking forward to the 2nd meeting in Cincy.

Whatever works best for the league, I guess. I was just incredibly frustrated with the game disconnecting (I had stuff to do tonight, too), and irritated with Eddie's demeanor after the last disconnect. I didn't think it would have been fair for him to count the game, and I wanted to ask your opinion, which is why I PM'ed you and asked you to view the thread.

He and I never had any connection issues last season in 2 matchups. We played great games, each winning one game by one score. For the record, I have nothing against Eddie and I like the guy; I was just aggravated tonight by everything that went down. I wish we could actually play through the whole game since it's the first game of the season and a divisional matchup.

I don't know... I guess I'll have to hope that he gets home before the last game is played so maybe we can try again. This patch can't come soon enough.
 
RE: counting the game. yeah, depending on when it was then he probably shouldn't even be thinking about that. unless it's late in the 2nd half and you're up by many scores then there's no reason to count it. especially if your game disconnected earlier and that person was down then. I think I already spoke of this before though.
 
That's part of what I told him. The first game in which I led disconnected in the 1st quarter with about 2 minutes left, and the one he was winning disconnected right at halftime as the option for me to pick my play for the kickoff came up. He was up 2 scores, and the game was further along than the first, but it was far from decided like he seemed to think it was.

At least the issue of him possibly counting it has been avoided. Now, like I said, hopefully we can resolve the game itself. I understand if you have to sim so as to not hold the league up, but it'd be a shame for either of us to get a loss for a game not played after the classics we've had. I also hope there are no hard feelings between Eddie and I after this dispute. It's EA/Madden we should be mad at.

I'm planning on an early start to bed so unless we're advancing in the next few minutes, I'll pass on tonight. Tomorrow I'll be around anytime after 4-5:00 or so.
 
that right there is why I always try to schedule my game the first day or so after we advance so I'm not stuck dcing over and over

3 sim losses last season, I don't want a single sim this year if I can help it
 
With you having Turner and me having a very off day on Defense, it left me no choice. I had zero confidence that if I punted I'd get the ball back.

It was probably the right call, but if I lost it probably would have been because of it.
 
We'll have to skip me next time I come up on the sub list. I ended up subbing for the Eagles-Cards game, but for the Eagles not the Cards. Got to say, I love that playbook and DeSean Jackson. Have fun with that team, Pacer.

I had problems with the EA Servers all morning and then had a commitment, so I missed my game.

Thanks for the sub, Uber. Madden, you can't live with it but you can't live without it.
 
just to put it quickly about the bears packers game, I had to be somewhere by 9:15 and I told matt this. We schedualed for 7:15 but due to the disconnects and an xbox update, we didn't get into a meaningful game till 8. It disconnected about 8:25. There was no way I was going to make where I needed to go with another game. So thats why I even considered counting it. But whatever though. I would rather lose in a sim than from someone beating the ai.

I didn't want a sim loss or win. I had 2 games get simmed last season, including one with you, redworm, and then the week 1 game I was booted for which was an issue a couple months ago. Eddie and I both tried to schedule the game earlier. He messaged me first, right after the draft, and wanted to play, but everyone said not to play then. I tried to schedule for Sunday, and he was at the Dolphins game. I asked about Monday; he said, "maybe", and I asked him to get back to me about Monday but he didn't. He said he thought he had sent me something when he actually didn't, which I've done before myself. So we were all set for Tuesday, but then you have read what happened there.

We did both make the effort, and we went without any connection problems in 2 games last season, so I think we were both surprised and frustrated by the issues we encountered.

As for my week 2 opponent, I can't see who that is right now since the Madden online franchise site isn't letting me log in.

Also, still need to hear from you on my trade proposal. I need big time D-Line help, especially after losing Larry English for 8 weeks.

As for the trade proposal, I was going to go over it yesterday after seeing how the rookie performed in a game, but after the 4 disconnects, I was so frustrated with Madden that I totally forgot about the whole thing. Sorry.

Tried to play the Bucs earlier and it was 10-7 in the 3rd quarter. I went for it on 4th and Goal at the 1 and failed, and the game disconnected us. Very weird. I took a picture just in case he thought I rage quit on him. lol

We should be able to get it in tonight barring any disconnect issues.

Aside from that, it was a really close, fun game. One of the more fun games I've played as of late. I like low scoring games way better than scorefests (games with like, 56-48 Final Scores) because I feel it tests you more than just lobbing up TD passes over and over again. Here's hoping our second try follows the same format -- only this time, let's not hurt Robert Mathis like you did in our first try. :D

I don't remember the blitzes helping me much against you last season. Every time I looked it was either Camarillo or Marshall running down the field with the ball. Going to be tough keeping up with your offense without McFadden out there.

I'm subbing for the Lions now. I'm going to make BigAT the commish so I can switch between teams without the whole league collapsing haha.

Well, showing just how much the Giants win was a fluke, the Bills just got smoked by the Broncos, 28-10.

My Offense and Defense was piss poor--couldn't stop the pass, couldn't get much going save for a couple drives on O. Not looking foward to the Patriots next week, as I've never beaten them, and I can rarely keep up enough points to keep it close until the end.
