Sigh...me and the Saints just disconnected in the 4th quarter with 3 minutes to go. I'm up 42-31 and have the ball 1st and 10 on the Saints 45 yard line...is this a Quit and Count game or Don't count game situation...these games are always so tense. And the Saints only have 1 timeout left...I guess they still have a chance to win but it's highly unlikely.

Yeah I know you didn't quit, I said it disconnected. Scotts PM'ed me to just play the CPU cause I think he was just frustrated. If there are any objections to me counting it then I'll just replay him with no fuss...I just always get so worked up in my games against the Saints cause his pass D is tough and I struggle so much to guard against the deep ball. Plus I'm pretty sure I've given up at least one kickoff return for a TD against Reggie Bush every single time I've played him. I'm scared I might have a heart attack if we replay the game soon lol.

Like I said...any objections and I'll just re-play. I just don't know what the appropriate thing to do in this situation is.

Edit: Scotts just left the Franchise apparently?? I don't know if this is just a temporary thing for some reason...he didn't say anything that would indicate he was quitting the league for good.
 
I was assuming the disconnect would have voided the game from finishing so I temp dropped to let you play and get it over with. I have no problem admitting I lost the game so go ahead and finish.
 
Oh that makes sense...sorry man I was a little frustrated from the disconnect, but now that some time has passed, I really have no problem re-playing the game (Beason's stats sucked anyway lol). If you want to re-match then we can schedule another time for tonight...but if you don't think you'll have time or if you don't feel like playing again then I left the "Quit/Count game...Quit/Don't Count game" message up so I can choose based on your answer.

A while ago...I think last season even. I know the Rams got Montario Hardesty and I'm assuming Massaqoi since he's on the Rams now too. Good point though...I guess Uber missed that one on the first page of the thread. I remember the trade though, it was definitely approved and everything.

gregthomas, you have TWO games you need to play if you're taking over the Colts as your 2nd team. Please don't make me regret giving you the Colts. I plan on advancing tonight regardless so expect for us to be in Week 14 around 8,8:30pm EST or after MNF.
 
Rams and I tried last night. He's apparently suffering from the same problems I had earlier this season with the disc giving error messages and such. We have been making an effort, though.

Uber, gregthomas didn't get back on XBL last night while I was on, but he did PM me, apologizing for the drops and mentioning the dirty disc error. My disc started giving me that message without warning, but then started working again as of maybe 5 games ago.

I can play as the Colts if greg isn't around to do it today. I'm out sick from work so I've got nothing but time.
 
As much as I hate to admit it...I don't see any player having a legitimate case for DPOY over Eric Berry. 13 interceptions (3 for TDs), 3 Forced Fumbles, 5 Fumble Recoveries (2 for TDs), 31 Tackles. Of course this is only up to this point in the season, but I don't see anyone overtaking Berry in the last 4 games :( Do you control him yourself Cru?

This needs some work (no headlines, the buzz is strictly placeholder, and obviously 'test 3' is as well), BUT I figured I should share this with everyone now so they can sign up with it and start using it's many AMAZING features. You'll never log into the EA Sports franchise website again.

What it is? A great stat manager and franchise hub that surpasses everything we've been doing with the EA Sports site even with the added scripts. Not only that, it automatically creates power rankings and players of the week for us using a formula. I'm not 100% sure how closely it reflects the power rankings we've been creating ourselves, but it looks pretty accurate.

With that all said, check it out and poke around. I would like for everyone to join that site so you can be listed as your teams owner, use the team blogs (which shows up in the headlines section), and eventually use the site for add/drops and trades (feature coming).

I'm also looking for some volunteer help. One would be a CAGFL banner (this size: http://www.e-athlete.net/main/images/mainbanner2.0.jpg) so I can replace the default xtreme football one. The other help I would be looking for is on a week to week basis have someone submit an image + short story blurb to fill the main story slot. This is something I could do rather easily, but any help would be appreciated especially since I don't know of all the worthwhile games going in each week.

At the very least, I'd like the update the banner and have people use the site for power rankings, players of the week (oh yeah, you can go through and look at the players of the week for prior weeks as well!) and stuff like that. But with that said, there's a lot we can do with the site to expand the fun and interest in the league imo.

Let me know what you guys think.

I'm pretty sure my NAT is and has been open.. I can't find anywhere on the new Dashboard to check the setting though, so I can't be 100% sure.

From dashboard go to setting under network settings test xbox live connection when that finishes you'll have your answer

The old dashboard (at least pre-NXE) would tell you if it was moderate, open, closed, etc--the new one seems to only show something if you're moderate or strict. If you're open, it doesn't say anything...the other two appear as "warnings", per se.
 
Just a question cus id rather get a computer loss then get kicked out of ur league........ if u let me play my week 14 game and the whole first quarter I just punt the ball wenever id get it is that a legit punishment..... I mean I understand everyone is mad bout wut I did but its not like I intentionally tried pissing bv off honestly... we had a good game goin into the fourth quarter so for me to just get a computer loss is a lil unfair because our game could of went either way... as I said not complaining I like this league but if I had the choice id rather lose with a chance to play it then just watch someone beat on the comp

You stole a win that you didn't earn. For that you get what will probably be a loss. I can't think of any way in which that isn't fair, in fact I'd say you got off pretty light so if I were you I'd just accept it and move on.
 
God I love playing as the Colts, Manning never misses, ever. 21-23 for 464 yards and 7 scores and no picks. Scored a TD on every possession until the last one when the Colts were running out the clock. Meanwhile the Falcons did whatever they wanted on the ground (well over 200 yards and 4 scores), but the Colts got the few stops which were the difference.

It was a clinic, there's no denying it. I hope you don't think I was running it up or anything, I tried to dial it back in the second half a bit. Only reason I threw on that last scoring drive was because you were selling out so hard for the run, it was easier to just pass. That was with about 3 minutes left though.

It seemed like all my defensive backs were in slow motion right off the line. Someone was always wide open, and even when they weren't it didn't matter (*cough* lob to collie *cough*) the moral of the story is to keep BV away from the colts. Far away.
 
Yeah, that play to Collie was pretty ridiculous. He had come open when I threw it but the safety closed the gap and I was pretty sure it was gonna get picked, but Collie caught it somehow. Pretty much every other pass was to a wide open guy though.

I don't know why I can't play that efficiently as the Chargers all the time, maybe Manning is just that little bit better than Rivers which makes the difference. I'm definitely learning in prep for the other league that Cutler can't make those throws, so it's probably good if I don't get to used to having Manning.

If you think you're so much better than me you wouldn't have made off with a win you didn't earn like a kid with his hand in the cookie jar. You can protest all you want now, but everyone in the league who weighed in on it said what you did was bull. Accept your punishment like a man and move on.
