I KNOW i caught 4 touchdowns... But it only shows i threw 3, lol. Yet it shows the Receivers cought 4. Ingame, AND on the website.

Ugh. We just got disconnected well into an excellent game. I was down 24-21 but had just forced a turnover and was driving down the field to tie or win in the 4th.

I hate EA, I can't believe I actually want to play MORE of this game.

True. He picked me clean in this last game. I think I had 5 turnovers and they were all legit picks. I just need to put more time in and work out the kinks. Still struggling on the ground

Doom has just pointed out to me that Sprice counted our game which got disconnected in the 4th quarter. He was ahead 24-21 but there were over 3 minutes left and I had the ball in his territory.

This is absolutely unacceptable, I CANNOT believe what kind of little punk asshole would do that. Doom and I had two games disconnect in the final minute and didn't count those. Little punk motherfucker even had the gall to ignore my messages after the disconnect asking if he wanted to try again later, all the while knowing he counted it (unbeknownst to me). What a fucking prick.

A 3 point game with over 3 minutes left, hell no.

This is a boot-worthy offense in my mind. ubernes, something needs to be done about this guy.

I'm sure he'll say otherwise as he does, but I was thoroughly outplaying him too. The only reason he had a lead at all was because my guy fumbled the opening kickoff and then I stupidly left a second on the clock trying for a 4th down hail mary at the end of the half which allowed him to kick a FG. He hadn't managed a single point in the 2nd half and I was driving again, and yet in his mind that's a win he earned. Such bullshit and you know he knows it too, that's the worst part.

Well I was watching my friends list update as you guys played the 4th quarter and I noticed the disconnect happened right near the beginning of the quarter.

Checked the madden website a couple minutes later and low and behold, the game has been counted. :roll:
 
I'm out of the playoffs anyway, so you should be even more pissed than me he stole a game this late in the season. Ditto ubernes, Zurezo and everyone else in contention for a bye.
 
Don't know when we're at the final straw with Sprice. He says he's trying to be more active with the community yet he counts the game and then on top of that ignores your messages.

There's no way he can say "oh I didn't know I wasn't supposed to count it"

Common sense. If our two 4th quarter disconnects didn't count, this game shouldn't either.

Especially with disconnects as common as they are in this league. A one score game should never be counted, ever. A 3 point game with more than 3 minutes left and your opponent has the ball in your territory, it's beyond common sense at that point.
 
Yeah. I was just playing a game with Mog and he was killing me.. something like 61 to 14 in the 3rd quarter and he got disconnected. Of course I chose not to count the game, and he offered to play again, so we did (and he still killed me!) but it's common sense to not count the game and not to take a cheap win.
 
Man I'm finding it harder and harder to stay in contention for DPOY with Beason...I have to work pretty hard just to pull off one interception in a game with him...and now I have to deal with Berry and his 3 interceptions and 2 defensive TDs and Tyrell Johnson (never even heard of him...) with a 4-interception game to get up to 10 on the season. That DPOY award is all I have to live for in life!

And sorry BV, that sucks...I don't get why some people are so clueless about rules on here. Especially when he's friends with Cru (I think)...there's not really any way to justify it.

all u guys do is complain bout me i dont get it..... that was the 3rd game we tried i never read any rules sayin that if the game disconnects and u can accept a win dont take it... as for the cusing and insults i mean this is an online madden franchise ur really gonna cus at me on the net??????? where ur behind a computer thats bad ass....... as for doomtime i dunno how were considering this another sprice problam is rediculous.... in week three the same thing happened when i played the lions he scored right at 2 min i was up by 14 game got disconnected and i accepted the win... u know how frustrating it is to play the same game three times in one day.... before u consider kicking me out mayb u should post rules saying wat u can or cant do cus grand cru told me to play fair, always punt on 4th down, dont get on the website cusing or harassing people which u obviously just did, and to make sure im available for all my games... on the first page it says nothing about if a game is disconnected u cant accept a win.... i think u guys jus like to complain about shit....
 
The assumption you made is that you had that game won: You didn't. You hadn't scored in the entire second half. I had the ball again, and was driving down 3 points. There were over 3.5 minutes left. You had absolutely no right to assume that the outcome of a complete game would have been a win for you.

As for this "third time we played" bullshit: The first game we ran ONE offensive play, which was a fumble by you. The second game we didn't even get to the kickoff. So don't act like we were well into three games, because that is bullshit and you know it.

Basically you're either a colossal prick or a colossal moron. It might be both, it definitely isn't neither.

Obviously you're not contrite at all and didn't even feign to feel bad about stealing a win you didn't earn (and you even admit this is the second time you've done this).

Oh stop trying to make this into some macho crap. I don't want to throw down with you, either over the internet or in person. In either venue I would call you an asshole, which is what you're being.

The disconnects were the server, not me, my internet connection is fine. Tell me this, if I'd taken the ball down the field and scored a TD there and THEN the game disconnected, would you have counted that too? Something tells me no.

The fact that you sat there on XBL and ignored my messages after the game when I was trying to re-schedule with you is just the final douche move in a long string.

Whether you're making the playoffs or not, you don't deserve to be in this league after pulling a stunt like this (which is not your first). It's up to ubernes what to do, not me, but I think it's pretty clear you don't feel bad about stealing a win you did not earn, so that should be the end of the conversation and you should be gone. We've kicked players out for a lot less than what you did.
 
I just want to say, after going back that the disconnect rule persay isn't posted with the other rules, it is around page 41-43 of the thread I believe. So that being the case I apologize for not informing Sprice of the disconnect rules. There really wouldn't have been any reason for him to see the pages of the thread in the mid forty range being that he wasn't here.

On a more general note I believe, what's happening with newer users they see the initial rules , but not the ones that may have been established along the way, so that's why a lot of things go missed and it seems like they are being ignorant.
 
It's an issue of common sense that you don't count a win that wasn't in hand. Being new is not an excuse in any sense.

If he had been up 3 touchdowns or something, I still would have resented that he counted the game without telling me (and ignoring my attempts to message him), but at least I would have understood that he legitimately felt he earned a win. That could not have been further from the case here. I think the bottom line is that he now has a win he didn't earn, which in this context is about as serious an offense as there is. We ran a guy earlier for nano blitzing, which is trying to gain an unfair advantage. I can't think of any more unfair advantage than stealing an entire win.

Dealing with disconnects is part of being in this league, we all deal with it. I've had to have 2 straight games simmed because of connection issues. Doom and I both were winning games in the final minute against each other (in both cases by wider margins than we're talking about here) and disconnected, and neither of us counted those games. Uber and I have also had games disconnected way late, it's frustrating but it's part of the game. Not doing what Sprice did is just part of being a decent and respectful player.

Cru, I respect you a ton as a player and I definitely appreciate that you want to stick up for your friend, but I really don't think there's any defense for his actions in this case. Being new is definitely not an excuse. Whether he knew it was a rule or not, that it was underhanded and unacceptable should have been self-evident.

A good game was also played between the fins and the cowboys. It was high scoring affair with the cowboys getting the w. Gg siradam.

If you look at the 3 or 4 th quarter it says the cowboys got one of the fins td's under scoring summary which is weird.

Any time I have looked, the scoring summary has never been listed properly on the franchise site for any of my games. There will always be something out of order on there, it seems.

Just so everyone knows (I already told siradam and sprice via PMs): in their week 14 matchup the Dolphins are going to play the CPU Chiefs. I think this is the fairest way to settle the issue with counting the disconnected game. I also sent a PM to all the newer members in the league so they also know what is expected of them in a similar situation and I also reminded them of the one big rule: play fair.
