hey was I kicked form this for some reason? I was away on business and got home to a message requesting to play my game and when I went to check it i had no option to.

I had to temp boot you so we could advance. I need to send you an invite back, which is why I friended you (so I don't have to type it out myself :)). So just setup your game like you normally would and I'll make sure you get an invite back before your time to play.

Even as conservative as I played I still managed to lose the highest rated player on my team for 11 weeks. Chris Snee done for the playoffs with a dislocated hip. UGH.

I feel as if after watch the 3/4 of the last MNF game (Cards and 49ers) that my quality of play has met theirs.
I wish we could fast forward to next season. As if I couldn't lose enough on my own, Wilson, Washington, Porter, and freaking Wells out. GG big, my run D was miserable, my o was miserable, and the weather was miserable. With the way you owned the clock and locked down my weak-ass offense, I really hope I never have to go back to NY.

Its all good. Regarding the next couple of weeks... Is their any leniency if I am unable to schedule my games? Weekends will pose no problems, however, I graduate college the 18th and really need to make the last study push during crunch time. I know I would be available in 1-2 hr blocks occasionally... but should the opponent not be able to meet within those times, would I be booted for good? Id prefer to remain in this league at all costs/will try my best.

also, I ahve never done one of these online franchises. For the draft is it a live draft where we all meet or pre-rank players?

Obviously try your best to schedule your games, but if you don't think you can do it one week we'll temp boot you and find a sub for you. You're good though, so don't worry about not remaining in the league.

As for the draft, it's a live draft in game. You can also do it through the franchise website. If you can't make it, you can pre-rank, but I would actually recommend not doing that unless you're just putting in some top 1st rounders because it seems to mess up the order and select randomly from your list. Messed with a couple people last draft.
 
Likewise to the new Madden league thats starting up, I'll be home as of the 11th/12th of December and I'll probably grab some Xbox Live within moments of being home since I plan on bringing a 360 back to England with me in January. I noticed the Bengals are open, so I'd love to take them if you guys are moving into a 3rd season (unless of course a less horrendous team comes into play). Although nothings set in stone in terms of me bringing a 360 back with me, but please keep my name in mind if you guys are going to keep at it!

I'm setting a deadline of Saturday night to sign up for the other league and be eligible for picking a team. You can still join up after that, but your record won't be considered and you'll have to pick from what's left.

Scratch that. Deadline will be midnight tonight (eastern) so we can start drafting teams and hopefully get the league kicked off Monday. See the other thread for details.
 
Bills over Jets, 24-17.

The Bills started the game with a TERRIBLE pass by Chris Robinson, that completely missed my TE and led to the INT return. Next drive, Spiller fumbles. Next drive, Bell drops the damned ball. Or did I get picked. Whatever the case, things looked dire, but my D held the Jets to minimal points.

The game-defining play was with about 2:00 remaining, on 3rd and goal, Sanchez decides to put the game away with a TD pass....but it's INTERCEPTED by Terrence McGee! He takes it to the house, making it a 17-17 game.

Byrd makes a huge INT on the next drive that would lead to a 37-yd TD by Shaun Nelson. [Byrd got hurt on the play--herniated disc, 9 weeks :( ] Jets made it interesting, getting in the red zone with less than a minute left, but George Wilson got the game-winning INT to close it out.

Bills improve to 6-6, keeping our very slim playoff hopes alive. (At least I think I can still make the playoffs...)

Great game, uber--next time, play it safe, kick the FG ;) I severely doubt I would have had any chance to come back if it weren't for that crazy pick.
 
Dude, you have upset some awesome players this year. Looks like my handling of you is gonna end up being the marquee win in an otherwise lost season for me.
 
Welp, I just lost to the Bills by a score. I probably got a little too confident (see: cocky) and complacent with my offense once the Jets jumped out to a quick 10-0 start thanks to some turnovers.

Forced some balls I shouldn't have (5 INTs by Sanchez) and despite all that I was sitting in the Buffalo red zone with under 2 minutes remaining up by a score. Instead of trying to pound it in and take some time off the clock, I opted to go for the quick score. It turned into a pick six. No big deal, tie game right? Instead I turn right around and throw another pick on the ensuing drive. Bills are in FG range and all they have to do is sit on the ball with under a minute left and kick in the FG. On 3rd and short they go for the pass, I opt to not tackle his player so I have the chance to send it to OT.

So he scores, I'm down a score, still somehow in this game. My offense finally starts firing on all cylinders. Cotchery is eating up yards on 2 big catches. Keller catches a pass on the 1 yard line, just under 30 seconds remaining, figure I should hurry up. The smart play probably would've been go into my goal line formation and try a sneak and then hurry up but I didn't want to risk time running out (no timeouts at this point). Edwards comes streaking across the endzone, finds a beautiful hole in the zone but Sanchez (I) lead him a bit too far and a Bill was able to snag it right before it got to Edwards. Crazy ending. GG.

Haha yeah, it was foolish of me. A FG would have been equally as good as I felt my D was playing fairly well up until that point besides that one crazy Spiller receiving TD.
 
For the record, I was on the 37 yard line on that 3rd and 2, and since I've already lost a game due to a missed FG, I certainly didn't want to risk missing a long FG. I was originally in a run, but seeing the all-out blitz, dumped it off to a wide open Nelson. I could have stepped out to eat up more clock, but I felt safer taking the score. Although in retrospect, with what, 1-2 timeouts, I could have got the clock down to the 1 and kicked the FG. Oh well, worked out in the end.

Actually I just had something come up at school. Have to attend and donate to a food drive for extra credit (which I need!). That may delay our game a couple hours. I'll pm you the details. If we don't end up playing today, my weekend is open.

As for being kind, the Raiders are still in a tailspin. Some weeks we have it, some weeks we don't. Definitely not the consistent player I was in the first season.
 
Yeah, I definitely understand the throw. That was my plan, to blitz everyone and stop the run or give up a passing TD and hope you didn't run out of bounds. That would have ended the drama pretty quickly for me.

Sprice and I couldn't connect (what else is new?) although this time EA actually gave a message saying there was high server activity, so I think we'll be able to get it in later. Shame though, since I forced a fumble on the opening possession and was driving myself.

Yeah, looks like a tough final few weeks to your schedule. I lost to Denver the week before you did. That should've set off at least a small red flag haha.
