What the hell? I'm virtually positive the tie-breaker to determine who gets the bye is head-to-head when applicable and I beat Cru in week 2.

I dont even want to begin to explain this game. As good a playoff game as u can hope for. Both teams had opportunities to win in regulation and the other's defense stepped up. Janikowski hit a ridiculous 64 yard field goal somewhere in the middle of all that, and that was the difference maker... that and Joe Flacco horribly overthrowing Steve Smith on the first play of the game... did it again later on. Both woulda been TDs. I'm not mad that we lost, we should've done better on D in the first half. McFadden had a field day.

Great Game Doom... cant wait to see u again.

I'm actually hyped now... going to sleep for a few hours seems a lil ridiculous lol. Just looked at the stats and i dont know how the hell we stayed in the game with Flacco throwing 32 times. and then to see that we won the turnover battle and still lost... ugh. I wish i had been more alert and gave Smitty time to clear the fracas before i threw him the ball on that 4th... so many plays that i wanna take back...
 
That 2nd Steve Smith TD where he was called out was robbery. Ridiculous call. Other than that, one of the greatest games I've ever been a part of.

I don't think I've ever been hitsticked that many times successfully in a game. And those sticks produced 2 McFadden fumbles and a lot of other problems.

i really think we woulda been in double OT had i not gone for it on 4th and 5 at his 47. If it had gone there, i woulda had to call out of work tomorrow. Good play call, bad execution... a couple McFadden runs later, it was all over.

I actually forgot about that play. I wanted to challenge it but i knew they wouldnt give it to me. The hitsticking was a result of McFadden's uncanny ability to shake off the first three people to make contact with him... i had to do something to stop him. Nealy came to play and he's got me excited for next season cuz he is gonna be the heart and soul of my D.

I actually wasn't clear of the rules prior to the GW Kick, so I thought about going for it there. I thought I needed a TD to win but you'd get a chance to try again if I only managed for a FG.

So many dropped passes on both sides of the ball. I think I dropped 3 or 4 picks and Murphy dropped a huge 3rd down conversion. Heap did the same on the next drive.

As close as a game could be.

edit: so now do I get Doom? I can't tell what Madden does correctly in the playoffs.
 
ok... i think i've calmed down. first time i've ever been happy with a loss. not to shortchange any of the other teams in the AFC but i'm forecasting a Raiders-Steelers conference championship. I'm hoping Doom gets back to back titles so i can feel a lil better about losing in the wild card round... AGAIN!!!

Zurezo, i'm coming for my division crown. You've had it for two years and it's about time it came home.

Here's what would happen.

If DEN defeats INDY then it would be Denver @ New York

If INDY defeats DEN then it would be Oakland @ New York
 
That's what I figured it should be. Hopefully it goes correctly. Not that I want to play Denver, but I feel like if I'm getting to the Super Bowl I'm going to have to go through them regardless if it's this coming round or the next. He's on a serious roll and already beat me handily once.

you have no idea... If I hadn't been playing it, I would've watched it in it's entirety and it would've felt like I was watching a real game. defensive battle all the way through with done big plays sprinkled in. I've had some great games in the past...conference championship against bvharris in madden 10 comes to mind... but this was by far the best game I've been a part of. instant classic

The fantasy gods are smiling upon me this year. I'm in the championship for both my money leagues. I thought I was going to be punished for that Webb loophole (Favre starting and the waivers were locked up), but instead I didn't even need Webb to outscore AP by 3-4 points. Since AP sat, I just need those 3-4 points and I got it. Very happy with that.

I'm projected to win both matchups by around 3 and 8 points, so I feel good about it. Here's hoping Vick can keep doing what he's doing and I don't have to deal with any Moreno .6 point performances this weekend.
 
Hey Guys. There was a small fire at my house and I will be without power for what looks like a week. I should however be able to get my game in. I play the Bears and I will see what his schedule is like.

I complain about the division of doom, but really my dropping from 2nd place to 4th (all of 2 wins) is almost entirely a result of not taking care of the ball with Rivers:

2010 - 4314 yards, 38 TDs, 10 INT, 71.1% completion (tops in the league)

2011 - 4478 yards, 37 TDs, 21 INT, 65% completion

At least I know for sure what needs to be worked on.
 
Ravens went from 11 wins to 12 :)... i'm hoping 14-16 is on the horizon.I'm starting to feel like homefield matters in the playoffs now.

SN: in all of my losses (including playoffs), i havent lost by anymore than 7 points. My D has to find a way to get off the field on 3rd downs... and the emergence of J.D. Nealy (6'1, 220) at FS is something to get excited about. I see him being a MAJOR playmaker whether he's in coverage or run support. I found out last night that he's a pretty big hitter as he layed McFadden(who is not a small guy) out a few times and caused a fumble the first time. I'm feeling like i have the Sean Taylor reincarnate roaming my secondary along with LaRon Landry... the AFC better start ordering body bags now...
 
Not that anybody cares, but I'm withdrawing my bid to take over the Colts next season. Even in the Division of Doom, I've got to stick it out with this Chargers team. Besides, moving to the Colts I'd have to play the AFC West anyways, plus all the division winners.

Most importantly, I think Doom would miss me too much. :D

Just for the record..... Dolphins have the most Yards on Total Offense Per GAme, and the Most Yards given up on Total Defense Per Game.

Anyone feel like (and i may even consider paying good old american greenbacks) training a Poor defensive player in the ways of the force?

I'm hoping everyone sticks around in the NFC West next season. I've had some good games with Silent and Greg and it would be nice for one of us to come away with one against the 49ers (I'm pretty sure he hasn't had one divisional loss in the past 2 seasons). It would be nice to see someone come out and actually put up a fight with him in the division.
