Madden 11 League-OFFICIAL CAG LEAGUE-That's all folks! Mini-tourney still coming tho!

Man I wish there was some way to be able to sub in Armanti Edwards as QB for some plays. I think it would be really fun to switch things up and have him in for some snaps but he's not a potential QB on the depth chart. His QB stats are pretty decent (88 THP and around 70 THA)...combine that with an 88 speed and he could probably do some damage out there...like a poor man's Mike Vick.

Does anyone know any playbooks that have a Wildcat setup that gives a WR the option to throw the ball? I'm assuming the Jets have one that they use with Brad Smith?

P.S. Panthers/Vikings (Zurezo) is under way.

Nah, the Jets sadly don't have one either. I'd love to use Smith in the same way because his passing stats are decent as well, but I haven't figured out a way that allows for it.
why doesn't the whole xfn website update?
The stats need to be updated manually. I try to do it at least once or twice a day, as does uber I'm sure, but it's not an automatic thing.

o ok
I dropped 7 players for the next draft.
shouldn't you have waited till after super bowl so you could see if you had players retire?

btw, anyone know sgmsuperstar, he's been in an offline franchise game and away for 35 minutes now

Good point, I wrote all the guys names down. If someone retires I will add one of my dropped guys if that is ok.

Completely fine. You'll probably want to add one or two of them back anyways as the last couple rounds of the draft aren't really players worth keeping. So yeah, good job writing names down. Everyone should do that when they drop in the offseason.

Uber, I'm starting Webb in my Fantasy team over Steve Johnson. I figure it can only really hurt if Johnson has a ridiculous game and I miss out. Otherwise I'll take a starting QB at a WR slot any day.

Solid move IMO. I'm leaning more and more towards it the more I think about it. I'm going to tune into Fantasy Football Now (or whatever the ESPN show is) in the morning tomorrow and see if they say anything about him. I just think his basement and definitely his ceiling is higher than Thomas Jones. Best case scenario from Jones I get like 50 yards and a cheap score, so 11 points? But worst case is a big 0. Webb on the other hand, should get at least 5-6 and the hitting the low teens isn't really too crazy to think of for a QB.

I had my gf pick him up since she is still in the playoffs but our nfl.com league he is listed as a qb now and only sub in the qb slot even though when I did the search for him I searched only for wr.

I think I'm starting just two total players today that I actually drafted. That Aaron Rodgers injury has really put me in a rough spot (I had Jennings as well). I'm going with the good ole gun slinger Kerry Collins against the Texans' awful secondary. I maintain that fantasy football is as much about success with midseason pickups as it is success in the draft.

Giants-Eagles is scheduled for Monday night.

I'm starting 4 players I drafted: Charles, Moreno, DeSean Jackson, Wayne

After some soul searching I ended up benching fantasy binkie Jay Cutler (our league plays two quarterbacks and I've ended up with him as my 2nd for 4 straight seasons). He's just too unpredictable right now, I decided Kitna was the safer bet to go along with Vick. Sadly I'm already starting behind the 8-ball thanks to the Vernon Davis donut on Thursday coupled with strong performances by the Chargers D and Mike Tolbert for my opponent.

superstar and I couldn't even connect to each other at all last night, my nat is still set to open after I tinkered with it and got it worked out

Let it be known that I just put in Webb. I didn't want to see another 0-3 carry game by Thomas Jones or Choice. Rolling that dice!

As for my current starters. I only drafted 2 of them (Wayne, DeSean Jackson), but I have Vick, Tamme and Blount. And also made trades for my other 2 RBs. Grant and Gore going down definitely didn't help that, but I traded for Gore as well.

Before I join in the fantasy talk briefly, I just wanted to add this. I haven't been able to read the thread to see if there's been any discussion of the matter. This is just an edited version of what I posted in the other league thread:

Packers/Bears: I posted before saying I'd be very busy for a few days and would have limited time to play, but that a sub/temp boot might be needed. Things have been busier than expected and I just won't have time this (in-game) week. I'll be en route to San Diego very soon. I'll be back Tuesday and ready to play my next game pretty much whenever after we advance.

Rodgers being out cost me 1st place in my NFL.com league. I lost out on the 1 seed, and now face a tough opponent without Aaron Rodgers. David Garrard, please be my fantasy football hero today.

In another of my 4 leagues, I kept Vincent Jackson on the bench. I waited all season for that late round pick to pay off, but then he got hurt and I didn't expect much production after he missed the last game. As it stands, I was eliminated in round 1 in one league, 1st round of another league is going on now, and I'm in round 2 in my other two leagues- one as a result of a win, and one because of a #1 overall first round bye.
So where's this New England blowout I was hearing so much about?
I'd be more upset if I hadn't just watched Dan Connelly (an offensive lineman) return a squib kick 71 yards. That was the greatest thing I've ever seen, even if the Pats lose tonight I'm going to sleep with a smile. :D

It would have been so much better if he brought it back. That TD celebration would have been epic.

Honestly, I think that was the greatest kick return in the history of the NFL. The Pack were trying to get cute squibbing it and he just ran and ran. I'm still laughing.

Edit: Also worth noting that it completely changed the complexion of the game.

ugh #-o
Of course now that I posted that, Green Bay will probably choke and end up getting destroyed. Here's to hoping.
thanks a lot bro :whistle2:x

You should be pretty happy with how your guys have played thus far. With Rodgers out, holding a halftime lead is a pretty huge accomplishment. Their defense has been outstanding.

This one could definitely go either way.

Honestly it should be at least 24-0. A dropped interception by Charles Woodson and that kick return led to both NE touchdowns. That being said, I am happy with how the Pack is playing as I expected them to be down 20 at half time coming into the game.
:whistle2:\" Yeah I'm just gonna turn this off now....
I'm free to play all day tomorrow. Let me know

I'm PST as well. I'll probably be on around 10 am.
How are the rest of the games looking for tomorrow?
jags and pats couldn't connect he said I could play cpu but I told him to mention it here, I know he mentioned it earlier this week when he was busy

I work monday 2-930 so if I were to play the cpu I'd like to get it done before I go to work

Thanks to the magic of Michael Vick I have a lead in my first-round game despite getting donut from Moreno (injured) and Davis (alexsmithed). It's not over yet though, since I'm only up 15 and my opponent has Peterson and I have the Bears D tonight. I'd like to think the terrible conditions might hinder Peterson, but I'm not counting on anything.

Doomtime I think ur friend came in as the titans... if so can u see if tomm round 4 5 ish is good to play our game.....easterntime... thanks

bread's done
