Madden 11 League-OFFICIAL CAG LEAGUE-That's all folks! Mini-tourney still coming tho!
I am home and ready to play whenever
Deuce is only around until 8pm EST it sounds like, so try to get in touch with him and play it soon.
Hey I can play at like 6 tonight.
LAST GAME OF THE WEEK. We will advance at 7pm EST! (assuming the Hawks/Ravens game isn't delayed for any reason!)

JOY!

Ravens/Seahawks underway

2 mins into the game, i lose Antwan Barnes(my starting ROLB) to a broken collarbone. Gone for 10 weeks...

Ravens 38
Seahawks 7

Total domination by the Ravens. Other than the KO return for a TD, the Seahawks never moved the ball past their own 35 yard line.

Total Offense:
Ravens 458
Seahawks 9

Ray Rice - 20 att, 236 yds, 3 TDs

i lost Antwan Barnes for 10 weeks and Terrence Cody for 12... can i pick up a OLB and DT to replace them?

also, Darth... would u be able to play right after we advance?

Saints pull away to win 37-24.

In a first for me in any Madden game, the Falcons squib kicked their first kickoff to avoid Reggie Bush but Courtney Roby picked it up and scored anyway.

Ravens 45
Cardinals 10

Ray Rice made his case for MVP this year, even though he may not finish as the league's top rusher nor diid the Ravens finish at the top of the AFC... JD Nealy also added another INT to strengthen his DROY bid. Good game to close out the regular season, but we did lose C Matt Birk for a considerable amount of time (4 weeks).

If i'm right, the Ravens will be limping into the playoffs with a 12-4 record. Hopefully, the 3 injured starters wont be missed as much as Ray Lewis was last season.

GG Darth

Nealy and Baldwin have the same amount of forced turnovers but Baldwin has 15 or so more tackles. :) How many TDs though? I'd be surprised if Baldwin had more than 2.

i've been keepin an eye on that Baldwin character... i think QBs stopped throwing Nealy's way after week 6 or so. I had to bring him to the ball to make tackles after that. I'm hoping the INTs overshadow the tackles (since tackles arent an officially kept stat in the NFL lol) and I dont know if Nealy even scored on any of the INTs he got. I wouldnt be disappointed if Baldwin beats Nealy out tho. On the other side of the ball, my rookie WR McClain could've been in the running for OROY but he just couldnt catch deep balls from Flacco. He dropped at least one a game and most of them were guaranteed TDs cuz nobody would've caught him (97 spd). My rook RB Simon had a decent year too... nice change of pace back to complement Rice.

Well, leave it to the Saints to play the worst game of the season when it mattered most. Fumbles, interceptions, a complete lack of offense and inept rush defense gift wrapped a 38-17 win for Tampa, giving them a playoff berth.

And with the season over I'm afraid its time for me to retire from the league. I should be starting a new job soon that will take me away from my system for several months. And instead of playing a partial season then having to bail, I'm going to make a clean exit out now that my team's season is over. Thanks for a great few seasons of clean, fair play, and amazing competition.

And to whoever takes over the Saints, draft defense, Defense, DEFENSE.

Chargers win in a predictable shootout with the Dolphins, 42-38. I scored to take the lead with around a minute left and, well let's just say the Dolphins knew the #1 pick was at stake. :D

Chargers wrap up the season 9-6-1 to finish in a resounding 4th place. Where's the NFC West when you need it?

Dibs on the Saints.

Dang I'm playing Venom in both leagues...am I gonna need a sub for both? I'm not entirely sure what's going on with Venom but I know people have been subbing for him lately. I'm assuming he's not coming back in the next few days...

P.S. - Uber, please advance us on the Xtreme.net site!! Worst commissioner EVER!!!!!!!!

P.S. # 2 - If I am getting a sub for Venom, then would anyone be able to sub right now (for either league)? I am itching to play some Madden!

Sorry to see you go Scotts. It was one of those games. Madden gods were simply unwilling to give you a chance. A fumble or a int on every good drive you had to setup a comeback. Congrats on the new job though.

On another note, Bucs are ecstatic to have sealed a playoff spot and ready for the challenge.
Hey I can sub in for venom in this league ? If a sub is needed ?
Ya I'd prefer a human opponent over a CPU. Assuming we get the green light...I can play probzies after 11:00 a.m. EST today. Should be free all day...
waiting to hear back from superstar about pats-jags
I PM'd you. Sorry - have been busy with Christmas stuff\work. If that time doesnt work for you then you can play the CPU if thats fine with Uber. I am 3-11 .. I dont want to hold up the league :p

FANTASY QUESTION:

So, I just noticed in Yahoo leagues Joe Webb (new starting QB for the Vikings) is WR eligible because that's what they used him as last week. I have DeSean Jackson in my #2 WR slot and he is questionable, is this crazy talk or does Webb have some real great value playing as QB in a WR position? I wouldn't start him over Jackson, but my other options to replace him if he is sitting are Mike Williams (SEA) and Johnny Knox (CHI).

I'm even considering putting in Webb at my flex spot since I don't really trust Thomas Jones even vs the Rams. Thoughts? Is Webb just going to lay an egg vs the tough Chicago defense or is this a sneaky good move?

I can play you tonight when I get home from work, should be home between 930-10pm cst
Hey Masterawesome my oppenent , for this week the cowboys is ready to go , I could sub after or someone else couuld sub ?
Hey I'm really sorry...I don't know why I suggested I could play starting from 11 a.m. I had an exam at 9 which I assumed would be quick but I just got back home. I can play any time at all today if you're still interested in subbing.
he's playing the bears outside at Uof Minn's stadium, I wouldn't play him
It's a sneaky idea and all, but yeah...that stadium is a mess from what I've heard (check out Chris Kluwe's twitter, he's not exactly happy about it...) and Webb looked pretty hapless against the Giants.
he's playing the bears outside at Uof Minn's stadium, I wouldn't play him
Yeah, it's risky for sure. But assuming he plays the whole game it shouldn't be difficult to rack up around 8 points (pretty terrible for a QB, but 80 yards receiving for a WR). I wish his matchup next week was decent to justify sitting on him for a week (he plays Philly). I picked up Choice 2 weeks ago hoping he'd show me something last week and I could plug him in vs the Redskins this week, but I don't feel any better about him than I do about Thomas Jones at flex this week.

Blah! Hopefully I don't need to worry about DeSean, but it would be nice to get something out of that flex spot that Jones is sitting in now and he's been terrible as of late.

It's definitely sneaky and creative...but I don't know if I would risk it. They're surely gonna lean on AP as much as possible...but will probably be forced into passing it more in the 2nd half of the game since I'd imagine they'll give up an early lead which will get more and more out of hand as the game goes on. Being forced into passing situations can usually help a QB a lot from a fantasy standpoint (Philip Rivers benefited a lot from it earlier in the season) but it could also force some errant throws and can lead to a lot of interceptions. For an inexperienced rookie QB...I'd probably go with the latter. This is a pretty high risk/reward situation, but I don't think I'd have the balls to try it.

Your other WR options aren't too solid though, so I don't know...I actually probably would do it if I were you. I have Greg Jennings, Mike Wallace, Steve Johnson, and Austin Collie (if he returns this week)...so it'd be a little different in my case.

I set up a google voice number that sends texts to my phone immediately. This is a good option for everyone who isn't comfortable giving out their actual phone number, but is looking to communicate better.
I guess that's what happens when you play the 4th weakest schedule in the league. :D
Hey, I can only play who is on my schedule.

49ers - 34.4 ppg (5th) - Held to 13 points

Ravens - 33.4 ppg (9th) - Held to 24 & 21 points

Jets - 33.3 ppg (10th) - Held to 18 points

Texans - 31.5 (12th) - Held to 14 points

Rams - 29 ppg (16th) - Held to 7 points

Lol I've been demoted to EASIEST schedule in the league.....d'oh!

And would anyone care to sub for the Vikings right now (or in the near future)??
