Chargers 35 - Bengals 14
For the second straight week, the final score doesn't tell the story of how unfathomably dominant the Chargers were in this game. The Bengals scored on their first offensive play and their last offensive play in garbage time, and everything in between that was pure powder blue crush (patent pending).
I was definitely worried after the first game disconnected and the second opened with an opening play end around which Ochocinco took like 80 yards to the house. But the Chargers quickly collected themselves and did what they do, turning on the offensive burners and never really letting up all game.
Rivers was flawless again, going 14 of 18 for 252 yards and two TDs, both on long bombs to Santana Moss, who stole the receiving show with 4 catches for 174 yards and the aforementioned TDs. Gates and Jackson were mostly handled, catching only one ball each, while Austin added 6 for 48 yards. The offensive star of the day was Ryan Mathews though, who had easily his best day as a pro and showed the kind of season he can have behind this great O-Line, rushing 15 times for 128 yards and 3 scores (I know that's not spectacular by Madden standards, but for me it's a banner day.)
The score actually could have been wider if not for a comical series near the end of the first half. Inside the red zone the Chargers had the following sequence:
1st and 10 on Cin 27 - Mathews 15 yard run (holding)
1st and 18 on Cin 36 - Mathews 22 yard run (chop block)
1st and 18 on Cin 36 - Mathews drop
2nd and 18 on Cin 36 - Jackson drop (in the endzone)
3rd and 18 on Cin 36 - 5 yard completion to Austin
4rd and 13 on Cin 31 - Kaeding missed FG
That's 4 different scoring chances squandered in one series, pretty impressive. Thankfully it didn't matter.

gg tanabeo! That new look offense definitely has potential, but I think you need to present a bit more of a downfield threat to keep the defense honest. When you barely target the wide receivers I don't need to really worry about them and can focus on stopping the run and containing White. I might consider mixing in Palmer to keep defenses honest, and you should use that new toy Randy Moss, I don't think you targeted him once.
