Earlier, I had another epic down to the wire battle with Detroit/itlnstln. Our game at the end of last season ended with the Packers winning 41-38 in overtime, and this one went to the extra period as well. Not to take away from itlnstln, but I had quite a few opportunities to break open a decent advantage, but I threw an interception once and had to punt several times, while also failing to convert on a 4th down when I could have kicked a 53 yard field goal. I had made one from that distance earlier in the game.
Jahvid Best was great on the ground and in the passing game for Detroit, while the Lions had 200 kick return yards, including a 99 yard TD return. Aaron Rodgers threw for 378 yards, 3 touchdowns, and the one pick. Charles Woodson had 2 interceptions, while Morgan Burnett had 1, and the Packers forced a turnover on a fumble. I continued to be my own worst enemy, making mistakes due to overconfidence and then, when we got down to the end of the game, doubt. I need to stick to my gameplan, and things will work out better for me.
Great game!
