Upgrading my router was a success. I was able to connect to uberness which I've never been able to do. It did disconnect in the third quarter though.

That was just me conceding. You had me whooped at that point and I figured we both wanted to get to the 4:15 games.

Good to see we could connect though. No real issues besides a little lag here and there, but I'm sure that was likely just the servers. I almost wish I took the Lions now in league 2. I avoided them in case we weren't able to connect.

Also, to the rest of the league, I just realized there's no MNF game. I wonder if we can wrap up this week tomorrow night. How's everyone's games looking?
 
Chiefs and saints should b done tonight so shouldn't be a problam for me.... also I saw earlier I think the broncos n chargers are playing tonight also
 
Yeah, hopefully we'll be playing tonight if my connection cooperates. I'm going to get on after these afternoon games wrap up. I haven't played in 4 or 5 days, so I hope I'm not too rusty.

This starts my string of five straight division games, make or break stretch for the Chargers early in the year.

Kay Holiday you think we can get our game in on Monday for week 4. Almost a must for me, rest of week would be impossible.
 
Am I still needed to sub in for the Vikings? I thought Venom was back this week. If not, I can do it.

mog - I'm on now if you're around. I do want to watch the Seahawks/Rams game, so if you can't do it now we can play after that (or once it's out of hand).

Edit: Anyone up for a scrim in the meantime? I want to see if my connection will cooperate.
 
yes, a sub would be good BV. I know venom is back soon, but I don't know if he'll make it for the deadline. so talk to Matt about playing.

I'm gonna get on so mog and I can play at halftime of the SNF game. When Sheriff and I played about an hour and a half ago it was really laggy, but hopefully it's better this time around.
 
Nope, way too choppy. Not the worst lag I've seen but I was consistently a second or two slow on every play, this is way too important a game for both teams to play with this sort of chop. Game scheduled for 6PM EST tomorrow.
 
Bills-Rams is over, 34-14 Bills. Close game for the first half or so, then the Rams got bit by the turnover bug--Bradford was throwing balls into no man's land, one of them returned by Foxworth for a TD. Also a sack, fumble, and TD Return (the return by the rookie linebacker D.D. Carter). If it wasn't for the sudden influx of turnovers, I think it would have been hard-fought to the end. GG gregthomas.

I've seen some of you complaining about lag, and this game was pretty laggy. Rams missed an early FG that I bet was caused by the lag, and while I was able to make all of mine (mostly due to "learning" lag kicking during the early parts of Season 1) it was pretty rough at times. It was playable mostly, though, at least on my end, and after one or two of the pauses it actually seemed better.

Broncos-Chargers is at 6. As for the Vikings, if Matt's around during the day and can play than definitely get another sub. If not, I can play it back-to-back with my other game.
 
Good calls: Falcons, Bears, Saints not winning division, Colts barely winning division, semi-crapshoot AFC West.

Bad calls: Cowboys, Texans, Niners, Bengals.

AFC
The Ravens will take the North, but barely. The Bengals will snag the 1st wild card as runner ups to the North. Colts take the South, but not as easily as one might think. Texans will put up a fight, probably fall short, but will sneak away with the last wild card spot, probably leaving the Pats on the outside. The West is a crapshoot imo. I think we're going to see a 9-7 team win that division. I made the bold prediction a couple weeks ago that it would be the Raiders. I don't feel as strongly about it as I once did, but I'll stick to my guns and say they win the division at 9-7 or 8-8.

NFC
I think the Cowboys, Packers and Niners are all locks for their respective divisions. I don't think the Saints will repeat their magical run from last year and the Falcons we're 9-7 without Turner for part of the season and Ryan going through some major growing pains, the Falcons should win the division. Eagles and Vikings as the wild cards. I kind of like the Bears too, despite their terrible preseason. If they snap out of it, I could see them fighting for a wild card spot at least until the last couple weeks of the season. I could also see them having a worse record than the Lions too haha, so I would not bet on the Bears.[/QUOTE]

Picking the Pats to miss the playoffs in a year they went 14-2 was your worst call. ;) I'm pretty sure I ended up picking the Jets to win the division too, glad that turned out wrong.

I guess I can see a bit of a resemblance (though that might just be the shit-eating grin and the stubble), although James Callis is about a decade older.
 
It's a lot harder to judge from a small avatar pic, but even their normal pictures side by side look pretty close to me...although like you mentioned, that Callis fellow looks a good deal older.

And I'll be available for the rest of the afternoon if BV can't sub for the Vikings before his game for whatever reason.

I haven't heard back from Matt yet, but I definitely can't sub before my game, it would need to be after. If he's available to play beforehand, by all means go for it.
 
Oh lol well in the interest of speeding things along...I can definitely sub if he shows up. After conducting some Sheriff duties with a little detective work mixed in...he hasn't even posted on these forums for 4 days, so if we don't hear from him by the scheduled 8:00 advance time, I would say a sim is in order.

That's fine by me. Though I'd bump it up to 7-7:30pm EST, as I think all the games are scheduled for 6, 6:30. I PMed Matt as well about his availability today.
 
When is FA add/drop period, after we advance?

The game for the cowboys is scheduled at 6:30 p.m est. We were having connection issues gbpackers was in the process of buying a new router. Hopefully we can get it done tonight.
 
FYI, if for some reason I can't connect with mog at 6PM (always possible with my connection) I've asked MasterAwesome to be around in case I need a sub so our advancement isn't held up. I figured mog wouldn't object to the choice since he's whooped him twice in a row now (no offense Sheriff). That said my connection seemed fine this morning, so I'm pretty confident I'm going to be fine.
 
I have a question about ur running up the score rule cause I've been seeing a lot of teams getting blown out and scores reaching the forties and fifties......... I consider the game a blowout if ur up by 3 tds and after ur up by 3 tds u keep trying to score... now I'm a person who like stats and u see my qb is right up there with henne and mcnabb so for my question..... if I'm up by 3 tds early on in the game would I be penalized for still throwing the ball...... or should I strictly run the ball everydown.... mayb a stupid question but I don't like to run the ball much and prefer to pass and now tthat I have 3 good recievers I wanna get the ball around without being called an asshole for running up the score so id like to know wut u guys think
