Is Jonathan Stewart powerful enough? I might be interested in doing a trade. He's 26 years old by the way.

And I personally apologize to anyone who has experienced a whooping by DeAngelo Williams in the past couple seasons...if it makes it any better, I do sort of regret that trade :(

Nope, Gore is my man - how about nash in a three way trade? I think Cru is looking for a TE
Nash to Niners, Best to Panthers, Gore to Lions

What's wrong with Vernon Davis?

As for the field goal gray area, isn't it around the 40 to 30ish yard line? A Hard just told me mog went for it on the 24. Just checking

Psh in my professional and very worthy opinion, Frank Gore is neither young nor a true "power back", and everyone knows Sanjay Nash is my pride and joy! He will be the best receiver in the history of the NFL by 2016!!

Wen I asked it was between the 45 and 35 nobody would complain about going for it fourth and short from wut I understand.... from the 24 should make it a 41 yard fieldgoal that's makable but ur rules are slanted in some ways cus so many things happen... I mean from wut bv said wind changes the game so if its windy that makes a difference. Or if he's down by a certain amount I would assume or if its 4th and inches and he don't think he can make the field goal for watvere reason

I just went by his attributes, was unaware that you only threw to him...
Gore may be older than Best, but he has Strength like Samson.

No one should really be going for it on 4th down on the 24 yard line. 41 yards is easy. Unless you have 15 mph winds in your face and even then I think I hit two 40something yarders in the snow and 18mph winds no problem with Nick Folk yesterday in a scrim vs Azu.

Obviously, if it's late in the game and you're down by multiple score then by all means go for it on 4th down wherever. But in most situations I don't see why you wouldn't just kick a FG on the 24 yard line.

There is an easy fix for this - Madden asks you on 4th down if you want to kick a field goal when you are in range. If it offers FG on 4th, you take it - simple as that. Unless the wind is a factor...

And to clarify this. When we say 35-45, we're talking about the yardline not the field goal distance. 35-45 yard field goals are pretty much chip shots in Madden. 52-62+ yarders obviously aren't.

Bingo. The only thing I would watch out for is that sometimes Madden will suggest to punt when it's just a looong field goal. Depends on your kicker's kicking power, but yes, this is a good rule of thumb. It really shouldn't be that difficult to figure out.

Lol geez that is a little harsh...I NORMALLY do as good a job as anyone spreading the ball (check the previous seasons!), but my offense this season in my first 3 games has struggled like crazy. Sanjay is usually my 3rd option on pass plays but he's usually the only one who ends up getting open cause linebackers have a tough time covering him. I usually look for Edwards first and then LaFell (sometimes interchangeably depending on the route)...LaFell has 1 catch for 11 yards so far, that should give some kind of idea as to what kind of season I've been having so far in the passing game lol.

And just saying...Stewart has the same strength as Gore (plus a 97 trucking rating), but I'm not trying to whore out Stewart lol, I actually don't have any interest in trading him anymore (just changed my mind in the last 30 min or so). I admit Gore is a very nice hybrid of a speed/power back...but I definitely wouldn't consider him a straight power back.

Agreed totally - I just knew those comments would spike your tone a little...

Oops sorry if my tone came off as a bit elevated or something, I really didn't mean to sound upset or anything like that (I really wasn't). That's why I make sure to include a lot of "lol"s (lol) cause it's hard to gauge someone's tone online, I am a very laid back guy so I rarely ever get upset in general, let alone on some internet forums. I also have stated in the past that I hate to have a one-sided passing attack and focus on just one receiver so I really hate the way this season has started for me :/ . I think my receiver with the most catches last season was in the 50's and Sanjay Nash already has about half of that in his first 3 games...yeesh. You are absolutely right about me only passing it to Nash, but I still felt like I needed to address that (try to justify it somehow...) lol. So sorry again if I came off rude or mad or something.

Sorry for going for it on 4th down I just felt lik my defense couldn't stop him so I did it...it wont happen again

My comment was a simple comical statement IMO - why does everyone take everything so personal in this forum? Its a game and OK to talk sh!t once and a while.

I already said nothing people say on these forums offends me. When I make these stupid long posts like my last one and the one a couple days ago addressed to BV, that's just me trying to do damage control and make sure I'M not offending anyone else...like I said, when you're on some online forums with a bunch of guys you know nothing about, you have to expect some posts around here to get misinterpreted as insults or personal attacks when people are just joking around. I realize I tend to overreact with my long posts from time to time, but it's not because I'm taking things personal or offensive but like I said I'm making sure no one has beef with me (I guess it might end up backfiring). In real life I'm the biggest goofball so I hate being this serious...it's way out of my comfort zone. Again, all my "lol"s seem to be getting overlooked if you think I'm taking your posts too personally and need to lighten up. I guess in the future I will shift to more of an emoticon approach :O) (posting on my phone so I'll have to go old-school smiley face for now). Note to all: please feel free to talk as much sh^% to me in the future as you want...but I don't dish it out too well! I am a sweetie!

just tried my first ranked match, was beating the piss out of the pats with my packers and 30 seconds left he quits, whats the point in that really?

Willis McGahee isnt as young as most would like but he is a VERY effective power back

and i dont feel like writing up a long expose' of the Battle of the Beltway (DMV dwellers know what i'm talking about)... but here were the important things:

JD Nealy had 2 picks, Haloti Ngata had a INT and a sack, Ladarius Webb had 3 INTs, Sergio Kindle had a INT, Ray Lewis had a sack, Zbikowski and Landry had a FF. Ray Rice had 3 TDs on the ground, Flacco threw 4 TDs (Smitty x2, R. McClain, and McGahee).

Munchie Cosh was shut down except for the 56 yard TD catch that shold've been an INT but my controller spazzed out on me when i went for the pick. He had 3 other catches that totaled around 50 yards. The Skins ran the ball 0 times... mostly due to the fact that they were playing from behind the entire game. The other Skins' TD came on a KO return that i should've prevented but i had a brain fart and he got loose....

Playing a ranked game or quitting? Wait until you run into a game long no huddler or exploit player.

After my experiences with SSFIV, I think a ranked Madden match would feel like a zen moment for me. And I have no idea why anyone would quit with 30 seconds left in the game unless they really hated their quit %.
ah man I play azu next week and he leaves this weekend for school
If we're advancing Saturday night I can play after the 2nd playoff game, otherwise a miracle game sunday morning might work. But then I'll be MIA for a week or so, hopefully less or possible more :p

Yeah I lasted about two weeks on that game. I am terrible at fighters and it showed online. About the only people I could beat were the Ken noobs and Zangief spin spammers.
