couldn't you just trade all your wr except one?

For you guys with your fancy trading blocks....I personally think it would help a lot if you posted ages/potentials since that's arguably as important as overall rating.
Lol I was about to say....I'll trade you Dan Connor (77 MLB) for JUST a 1st!! Get back at me.....thanks
I've got plenty of mediocre linebackers for trade too. :D
Lol I can't believe he's that bad...... I need a good mlb and a nickle corner and my defense is set
If Timmons didn't have a broken collarbone, I would trade him to you.
I need a good mlb and a nickle corner and my defense is set
I might be willing to trade Quentin Jammer (CB, 82)
1st round pick for Dunta Robinson?
Rams will not be trading their 1st for anybody since it will probably be the 1st in the draft.
Rams will not be trading their 1st for anybody since it will probably be the 1st in the draft.
Oh haha. How about you sprice? Dunta for a 1st?
What are you looking for in return for Jammer?
A pick(s) I'd think, unless I saw a compelling player offer, but there's no positions I really need badly.
Oh haha. How about you sprice? Dunta for a 1st?
Bucs could use Dunta Robinson and willing to give up a 1st round pick for him.
not to be rude....but dunta isn't a 1st round pick....

Bucs could use Dunta Robinson and willing to give up a 1st round pick for him.

Edit: If that's really the market for low 80s corners, my asking price on Jammer just went up, lol
doh nevermind I didn't look close enough and I have a bye and play darth next week

any games need a sub, im bored as hell
I'm about to play as the Vikes vs. Darth but we were laggy the other night when we tried so stand by in case we have trouble again.
Let's do it.
BV I'm just trying to stack my DB's like your team.

Bucs trade 1st round pick in this years draft for 83 Overall CB Dunta Robinson. We can process this later tonight or tomorrow. I guess you can drop him and I can pick him up tonight just because I am not trading a player.

Also wanted to note that the Bucs have a couple of SS for trade. Piscatelli 79 OVR SS, Sean Jones 78 OVR SS,
Check out my receivers, I would be interested in Raji, Bibby or Hawk.

I could offer Massaquoi (82) or Foster (80).
Sounds intriguing. I'll check on the stats.

I was surprised at AJ Hawk's shitty rating in this year's game. His potential is a B, I think. I wasn't going to say anything but "yes" to sprice, though, LOL.

I had been planning to do that once I went back in-game and checked over the roster.
not to be rude....but dunta isn't a 1st round pick....

(only basing this off of previous CB trades....sorry!)
What are previous trades that have been done, that blow my trade out of the waters?

Darth and I got disconnected. You want to take a crack at playing him?
i'm going to strongly disagree with this trade, but it's up to the rest of the league and the commish.
I agree. The players who've been traded straight up for 1st round picks are way better than Robinson.

I couldn't find any trades where someone was traded straight up for a first round pick so here are all the trades involving 1st round picks:
1. Ravens trade their 1st and 3rd round picks (3/2) to the Panthers for Steve Smith (3/1)
2. Rams trade Donnie Avery and a 1st round pick (0/0, Rams are done trading this season) to the Jaguars for Justin Durant and Derek Cox (3/2).
3. Cardinals trade Larry Fitzgerald to the Raiders for Chas Schilens and a 1st round pick
4. Cardinals trade Aqib Talib (4/2) to the Dolphins for LT Garner, CB Will Allen and 1st Round Pick (3/2)
5. (from other league) Colts (4) send Reggie Wayne (WR, 97) to Bears (4) for Earl Bennett (WR, 74) and 1st and 4th round picks.
I'd like to point out that 80+ ovr=1 core player, 1st round pick= 1 core player.
I'd also like to say that I think the trade is fair (as does redygo it seems), but if the league doesn't agree, then there's nothing I can do about it. I posted the 1st round pick trades to let people who were wondering what they were know. I don't know if they make my trade look more fair or less fair (to be honest I didn't even read them).

Eh, the CB market is pretty high. I agree a 1st round pick is kinda high for Robinson but, at least he's seeing dividends now where the addition of Robinson can still make an impact on his season.

8 games left, slackers!

RE: Robinson for a 1st. Funny that more people are against this than were when it was the other way around (not enough back for an elite CB). I assume Tampa's pick will be later in the draft so I don't have a huge issue with it. redygo seems to know what he's doing. Is that trade officially offered and agreed to? What do others think?

edit: Steve Smith was 32 when he was traded. His OVR is 91. Robinson is 30 and rated 83. Smith was traded for a 1st and a 3rd. Also I think we can all admit CB>WR. Does taking out the 3rd rounder make up the 8 point difference and 2 years of age? I would say it's definitely possible.

edit2: in fact.. check the Talib trade. Cardinals trade Aqib Talib to the Dolphins for LT Garner, CB Will Allen and 1st Round Pick. Talib is clearly better. Young, probably in the 90s or close to it by now but that's quite the haul for him. Does Garner+Allen make up the difference between Talib and Robinson? Again, I would say so.

teams aren't trading CBs. how many were traded all league (minus where BV ripped off his 'friend' ;))? 2? 3? not many. it's a premium position. look at how many I have! and I'm not moving one of them! just ask siradam! haha.

Well it gets messy if you try to compare it to vaguely similar trades from the past. And I don't think we should base the fairness of the trade on what has been done in the past, since people have had various issues with them and the #1 concern should just be whether or not it's a fair trade in general. I think we should just judge this as an individual trade. Dunta Robinson is an 83 rated 30 year old CB. From our past 2 seasons, it seems fairly reasonable to think you would get a player in the low 80's with an A potential in the first round of the draft (around where Redygo's pick is going to be). So based on that, it doesn't seem very fair...but as we all seem to agree (except for the Cardinals (A Hard) in the other league :)), CB's are among the most valuable positions in the game. It's not likely that a CB will be available at that pick in the round. I know it's still early in the season, but at this point Redygo is at a 3-3 record, so if you assume he ends up at about .500 winning percentage, the Falcons will get a decent pick from that. So you're sacrificing a great deal of age and progression for the chance to get a pretty decent CB. I'm not saying it's not fair (I personally wouldn't do it), but it's hard to deny that it's gonna hurt him in the long run. You never know who you're gonna end up with in the rookie draft, so this seems like a safe move on Redygo's part.

I don't have any problem with the trade btw!

Yeah its been agreed to, just waiting for approval. If anyone is wondering why I'm doing this its because I have another cb that is more than capable of replacing Dunta in Chris Owens.

I've heard from the bengals once so far saying he can't play between 1 and 11 central time.... that's not a very convienent time frame to give me but I said to let me know if he could be on earlier and I could try to take my lunch break to get my game in and he hasn't been on

I know you're just teasing me, but I'm curious why "friend" is the word in quotations..

Anyway, Quentin Jammer is still available, although now that I've seen what the market for pretty good but not great older CBs is, the asking price might be a bit higher. :D
Nm he sent me a message to my email....
got your message im sitting here waiting i will be here till 11am like you said

Last day to get in on Quentin Jammer (CB, 82 ovr).. I've got a Gates deal I'm working on and whether or not I've moved Jammer will affect what I ask for back. Also still open for other offers on Gates (TE, 96 ovr)

Confirmed. As always the ages on the franchise site are screwed up, but I believe Jammer is 33 in-game. He's an A potential, at least according to the GameFAQs list.

Obviously this one is in response to the Robinson trade, and if that one goes through (yes, I was one of the ones against it) this one is basically the same thing except as of now the Seahawks pick would be lower.

I'm against everyone of these low-mid 80 rated, old corners for first round picks. They are overwhelmingly in favor of the team getting the first rounder, imo.
