I've seen this as well. Anything in particular make you think the depth chart is the accurate on and not player management? I've been trying to figure out some way to determine which is correct but haven't really been able to think of anything specifically.
I kinda did my own research on it...my sample size was only 1 player (Bo Scaife) so it might not be accurate, but I see no reason why it would differ from player to player. Scaife was a 78 OVR in Season 1 and dropped to a 77 OVR in Season 2 according to Player Management. According to the depth chart however, he actually increased by a point to 79 OVR. So I just looked at Scaife's attributes in another league (which was still in season 1 and used the same online franchise roster) and by comparing his attributes in Season 1 vs. Season 2, he clearly improved. So Player Management indicated he regressed while Depth Chart indicated he progressed, so I'm inclined to say Depth Chart is accurate.
Also, like I mentioned, some players' individual attributes declined between seasons and yet their OVR according to Player Management JUMPS 5 or 6 points. The players I'm referring to were on other teams so I couldn't see their Depth Chart rating, but that proves that the Player Management rating is definitely bugged. Some player progressions according to Player Management seem to be a little on the high side too, like how some rookies jump 10 points between seasons.
BTW I'm online now and ready to play (got out of my 7 p.m. class really early), so hopefully me and the Bengals can get our game in sooner...I already PM'ed him. Not sure if he's around his computer to see it though...so we might end up having to play at 9:15-9:30 as scheduled.
