Madden 12 League - Official Fantasy CAG League Week 9 Live , Deadline is Friday

so playing the 49ers down by 7 balls turned over on down to the 49ers 45 seconds left i have no timeouts
and for some reason he thinks he should be passing and hurry up offense with the lead seriously who plays like that to just run up the lead seems like a very clear time to run the ball
 
45 Seconds Left with the Opposing team with No timeouts and holding a lead.

2 or 3 Knees and the Game is done. If Man2008 was indeed passing/hurry up during this type of situation...he'll have to deal with the wrath of doom.

thats becuz of a last second touchdown he made on first down for 20 yards i can honestly say i was in an all out blitz expecting a run of course i guess expect the unexpected when playing some people
 
yeah...Man2008 scored a passing touchdown with 7 seconds left up 20-13. Final score 27-13... Sigh. What part of good sportsmanship is hard to understand? the sport? the good?

But seriously, that should be at least a strike, if not two. If someone tried that in the other league, we'd kick their ass to the curb.
 
I think this sportsmanship thing is overblown... in a close game like that, if a player wants to risk injury or a turnover...let em. if there's an insurmountable lead, ok...kneel, run the ball or whatever to kill clock, but it's a bit ridiculous to be trippin about this

Yeah, a 7 point lead with 40 sec left in the game and 0 timeouts for your opponent IS an insurmountable lead...passing is bad enough, but running the hurry-up on top of that is just straight up lame.

Hell, a ONE point lead would be insurmountable in that situation.
 
to paraphrase a NE Patriot... it's the offense's job to score points. That would mean it's the defense's job to stop them. like i said, if he wants to risk the turnover, be my guest. I do agree that the hurry up is unnecessary tho

This isn't the NFL. Nobody here is being earning a salary to play Madden that I'm aware of. This league is for fun.

Honestly, I can't believe we're actually debating the "running up the score" thing. It seems pretty cut and dried to me: We don't do it.

I'm not encouraging anything. if it was me, I'm not risking a turnover or injury so I'm kneeling. it's just a drag when you have to focus on not scoring late in a game to avoid getting scolded by the commissioner. I actually lost DeAngelo Williams for 11 weeks last season in the main league trying not to score.

And fero, I dont think u qualify as a"scrub" anymore lol

I'm not sure how much focus "QB Kneel" requires. I'm not saying you need to never throw a pass at all in the fourth quarter, or use every second of clock on every play.

But if there is a gray area here, surely we can all agree 40 seconds left when your opponent has 0 timeouts is well outside of it.

thanks captain obvious... and nobody is debating anything. I simply made a statement. I'm fully aware of the unlikelyhood of the rule being changed, just felt like saying something. go cornhole yourself

I could do it but not until 11:30 or after my other league game gets done (starting at 10:30)
 
If my opponent is up by 7, with 40 seconds left, and he wants to pass and play hurry up offense. PLEASE O PLEASE LET HIM....I know it is definately a dick move. But if the guy wants to let me back into a game, which i've already lost, just so he can pad his stats.. THEN HE CAN GO RIGHT F+CKING AHEAD.

If he does it 100 times I'll get atleast 1-10 interceptions, who knows...

Also sack fumbles and pick 6's.....

It's not something I think people should actually be doing.... But if it happens to me I will welcome it. Regardless of the outcome.
