Madden 12 Official CAG League - On official hiatus until Madden 13.
he ran into problams... he needs a sub asked if i could i said id run it by u bv...if noy he still needs a sub
Probably shouldn't since it's a division game and you're also in the division. I'll sub for him.

I can sub for the Bears if we start in the next half hour or so.. If Matt's not around by then, who can do it? If no one else can, Sprice is fine.

Ill take my loss but you ahouldnt be able to motion a guy and hike before he is set so u have 6 blockers just isnt right illegal in nfl actually cause u have to be set
gg n8! Definitely a closer game than even the 10-point spread indicates. If Cro or Revis hold on to those picks (neither were gimmies, but those guys are pretty good) it could have been a very different game. I also got a bit of a break with that ball right into Wilfork's ample stomach, but that was at least part strategy since I did drop him into coverage.

See you in Week 14.
Yeah, it was a good game. Well, for my lack of scoring, I felt like I played decently anyway. Just the one turnover...and I was pretty effective on 3rd down (converted 5/8). I don't know. I just get deflated as shit playing you. You played a great game, without question, but when the breaks go your way too, it just piles on.

It was actually my FS, Norris, not Cromartie who had the other dropped INT. But he had two picks in my week 1 game against Miami, so he's definitely more than capable. There was no excuse for that one, as it was seriously just a bad pass. McCoy basically just lobbed it up toward the sideline looking for Gronkowski, and Norris was right there, leaped up...and it hit off his hands.

The one Revis dropped was a little more contested...but still...he was in front of your WR...and it's Revis. Meanwhile, 800lb gorilla, Vince Wilfork, reaches out and snatches a bullet across the middle (I wouldn't exactly call it INTO his ample stomach...he lunged and grabbed it). It was a savvy play call, for sure...but he must have thought the ball was a cheeseburger to go after it like that, lol. I mean, it's not like I expected to beat you anyway, but it makes the game hard to play when that kind of stuff happens.

Not to mention, my FB can't convert a 3rd and 1 with a decent sized hole...but when I blitz the house at Cobie Ross, he knocks guys over and still gains 4 yards. Then, the one time David Harris crushes him, he injures himself making the tackle. Then Holmes takes a hit, breaks his hand, and is out 10 weeks. I feel like letting you play the CPU in Week 14...not cause of anything you did, of course. Just because those kinds of games are discouraging.

Video of my secondary's ineptitude...and Wilfork's love for Big Macs, haha

Your allowed to have one person moving at the time of the snap it just can not be a WR that is up on the line thats why I always move the one that is stepped back off of it. thats why you see them step back off the line before they move

So Doom..are you gonna run with me and bv (and ferocious? not sure what time zone you are...) on USEast or play with your bozo friends on USWest? Assuming they set up the servers the same way as they did in Diablo 2....all my stuff is getting shipped tomorrow, so I'll be up and running sometime tomorrow night probably around 10 p.m. at the earliest.
Jesus, getting treated to the 'no way in hell you win' Madden special.
Yeah, those are the worst. Madden can really screw you over sometimes. Big win after an 0-3 start for me though. Hoping I can climb back into the race.

Since mailman and I just never seem to be able to connect, we always take a sim, and I've lost all three of them. Man!

Assuming all of your stuff works and there's no problems, sure. I'm playing now, but won't have much time until this weekend.

For the summer I'm in the central time zone.

Lol the Wilfork pick was pretty bogus...but I could upload a 20+ hour highlight video filled with dropped picks from my games alone! That isn't anything out of the ordinary. I get that it's extra gay though when you take into consideration that Wilfork can effortlessly snag one like that. It might be believable if we were using the UPDATED Wilfork who somehow picked off 2 passes this past season lol, but nope we are talking about the pre-update 24 Zone Coverage/25 Catching Vince Wilfork!

Waking up at 5:30AM to get in some Diablo before work was a great idea - this game is fucking fantastic. I can already feel the old DII addiction creeping back, hopefully it doesn't sap my enthusiasm for all other games (*cough*Madden*cough*).

We've advanced. Packers-Bears was simmed, which is unfortunate for a division game, but I left the Bears open so Matt Young could play a sub, and it looks like he never came back around.

So your saying I should buy it?

Its still stupid and just another bs way to get down field 2 te 1 fb and 2 wr and a pulling guard blocking on a sweep is fuckin bullshit im sorry im just sick of eveyone sayin we play the right way and there are always little stupid ways around everything its sucks

As far as I can tell there are no regional servers (unless it's hidden somewhere) so we should be fine. PM me your battle.net account name (or e-mail address linked to it) and I'll add you when I get home.

"Extra gay". Only point I was trying to make, lol. :)
Damn, my brain must have processed the Wilfork pick differently at the time so it could handle the bizarreness.
I just hope for Madden 13 that they do a better job accounting for the speed of the pass. You did have several pass deflections in the game, and there were a few that your LBs knocked down that I was thankful they didn't make ridiculous leaps to pick off. Those, I'd probably consider more "normal" than the usual plays LB's make in this game.

But sometimes it feels like passes are EASIER to intercept if the QB throws it hard. In a way, I think EA needs to tune deflected passes more like MLB The Show tuned foul balls. It may seem like a boring, insignificant thing to add, but it has a pretty large impact. I'd rather see LB INTs come off of tipped passes at the line than superhuman reaction time and insane hands.

The way the game presently is, to me, it's a little arcadey. Sometimes just looking at the numbers people put up game in and game out shows that. I mean, in addition to all the INTs, how do you guys explain RBs routinely averaging 10 yards (or more) a carry? Some of it can be attributed to the competition you're playing, definitely. But I still think some stuff just works a little TOO well. I'd like to hear some discussion on that...as long as it doesn't take away from the Diablo 3 talk, lol ;)

They've said that touch passes and different arcs are back. It remains to be seen whether they've implemented it well.

Honestly, I think you can attribute most of it to the fact that we play on All-Pro. Defenses can user one guy of course, and if you're good at stopping the run you can have success. But the other 10 defenders just aren't good enough on All-Pro to keep up with users who know what they're doing. If we were playing on All-Madden, offensive stats would take a big hit, although I suspect that would be frustrating in other ways.

What would really be great is if they'd add difficulty sliders to the Online Franchise so we could tweak it to be just the balance we'd want. But as with most things concerning improvements to Online Franchise, I'm not holding my breath.

Basically what happened is that passing was too easy on 11 so they overpowered the DBs and LBs. When this happened it forced the AI to react to the pass more which opened up the run.

At this point I've given up trying to figure it out. Sounds like they are making a lot of changes to the passing game so I'm sure we will see astronomical passing numbers next year.

The defense, and user catches need to be redone...way to overpowered. As for running backs, some teams are not built to stop the run, but rather contain it for minimal yards, and those teams have difficulty stopping good running backs, much like my team last year couldn't stop the run with only one good linebacker.

Passing is already ridiculous, some of the stuff you can do is retarded...make 180 degree cuts without hardly breaking stride is ridiculous.

Some guys in the league can definitely exploit the pass game. User catching has always been considered a skill though, so making certain animations happen all the time is 'skill.'

It's not super easy, but some catch animations are nearly impossible to stop, and if you have a 6'5" receiver with a 90+ jump, 90+ release good luck.

I would love to play on all madden that would be awesome I just wanted to say that and yea I agree with Staticz user catching is def a skill and takes practice, I havent been able to get those catches I used to make in my first couple of games this season like I used to in past seasons, hell I even forgot which offensive and defensive playbook I used to use smh I should of wrote some of this stuff down lol smh.

N8 I was trying to tell you this in the JV thread, too. In terms of my QB running, 10 smarter AI's would make it a lot more difficult.

I don't have any issues with going to All-Madden in Madden 13. It might level out the competition?

I would also be curious to see what would happen with the skill set to All-Madden. I just think when you've got people putting up 3,000 rushing yards a season, things are getting a little out of hand. It might even be something to consider before the Madden 13 franchise starts. Considering this franchise held 32 members almost through its entirety, having high performing AI players (if it indeed makes that much of an impact) might be a good idea. It's definitely even something I'd consider for the JV League...except that most of us are having to play the CPU for 3/4 of our games now...so probably not the best time for us to test it.

I hear you...I guess I'm just skeptical of EA programming, and question if a simple bump in difficulty is going to cover up their mistakes in how the AI plays. I can accept that on All-Madden they'd be more skilled...but I don't know that I'm willing to buy that they'd be smarter. And to me, being smarter is the issue.

If yall ever need a sub for a game or too , or there is a team I can run with in the JV league for sometime while I get my Madden Swagger back so to speak , please shoot me a pm Im down for that. The team doesnt matter

Same as the single player, but with friends.

Click on bad guys, stuff pops out, equip the stuff, rinse, repeat.

Diablo-type games are very simplistic, but very fun and addictive if you like loot grinding.

I still dont get what you are trying to say I'm not cheating the game its legal to do in the nfl I have been doing this since game 1 season 1 I have done it to you 6 times now and now you bring it up so when your stopping my run its not a problem but when it works you call it bullshit also I did it to bv and doom one of them would have said something to me if it was cheese way to play

Nope, completely different genre of game.

Diablo has spawned a lot of other games, though I feel like you'd know if you played them. Torchlight and Sacred are two good examples, and there are others which are somewhat similar (but not as good).

Whether you'd like Diablo can be summed up in how much gratification you get out of getting cool equipment, because that's pretty much the whole point of the game.
