Switching the teams wasn't about taking teams away from good players. After all, two of those guys have the exact same teams they had last year and the other two have better teams than they had last year. It was just meant to give everyone a shot at getting a different team if they wanted one.

If we'd wanted to make switching teams about competitive balance, we could have done that, but it's not what we were going for. The best players are going to be the best no matter what teams they have, there's not really anything unfair about that though. You could give Doom the worst team in the league and he'd still make the playoffs every season. It's not an accident that Doom, Mog, Sprice and Cru have won 9 titles between them: They're the best players in the league. It's up to the rest of us to step up our game to de-throne them.

We've started working on the awards (by which I mean I remembered we were going to do it and e-mailed the committee just now). We'll post what the categories are once we decide on them if anyone wants to put forward the credentials for their players.

shit my first year in the league i couldnt get past the first rd of playoffs.... last yr bv beat me with his backups lol... about 2 weeks ago bseti and widow spanked me... certain people have styles that work against some and is horrible against others.... thatz y i love this game...


also i dunni if anyones ever used the app groupme could be an excelle t way to contact people

Weekend is possible I guess, though keep in mind that we do have free agency, etc to get through first.

Presumably we'll also want to have a few days for people to make trades. I don't think we're going to want to rush through this first offseason.

You know what would be a freaking sweet feature. If they used actual college players for the draft. Just crossed my mind. Lol

Considering they don't even use actual college players for NCAA, that's never gonna happen. I agree it would be sweet though.

LaRon Landry for DPOY! I doubt he'll win it, but worth a nomination. He was leading all players with takeaways (INTs+FF) toward the end of the season. His tackle numbers are above average, but I stopped usering him at some point during the season.

Yeah, they just don't use anyone's name. You can actually import a draft class (or at least you could in years past, not sure about whether you still can with CC) but that feature's not available for online leagues.
 
So XP used for purchasing packages carries over from season to season, right? I probably should have used those scouting points, though. At least I upgraded players.

Yeah if your out of the playoffs nothing shows. If your still alive you can practice/progress players. When the offseason comes you can scout during free agency/resigning. There is even a dedicated period of time to just scout before the draft.
 
Im hoping to play sprice sometime between 8 and 10 depending how long Im at the gym playing basketball , if not than I wont be available til around 1 am after I pick up my call of duty.
 
hey just a heads up i wont be around wednesday and thursday so if an important day comes up like resigning mike wallace any chance u could hold up for an extra day i dont want my team destroyed becuz i was gone lol

Why don't you give your login info to your brother in case you miss anything important? I did that for the games I missed, and it went swimmingly.

Not sure yet since we haven't done it, though I know the first thing is re-signing your own guys, then general FA, then the draft. Not sure if there are other steps.

Can anyone who's done it before provide some more details?
 
ill be around all night but i wont be starting a game at 1 so latest ill play is at 12 but hopefully me.and cru can get it over with asap..

I went and found my post about the offseason and how the weeks work. Remember this was done before any updates were added, so it may vary somewhat. I'm not really sure because i havn't done a ccm since joining the leagues on Cag.





So i'll just go through the entire off season process for those that don't know. First off, scouting points can accumulate and won't be reset until after the draft. I personally like to actually save all my points until right before the rookie draft and do all my scouting then.

So step one after the Superbowl(this might happen whenever you get eliminated from the playoffs so make sure to look for it) is to sign your contract extension/gain levels and get xp for your coach if you have met your ultimate goal. You must click on this improve the level of your coach and collect the xp.

Then you have one week where you get one last chance to negotiate and resign your own players. Players that you have ended negotiations with during the season, will not negotiate with you here.

After that week has advanced there is the first week of free agency. This is where everyone goes in and gives their initial contract to the free agents. In the free agency screen you can see what teams are interested in the F.a and you can see what he believes his market value is. So far, i have not been able to find anywhere that tells you what the other users are offering.

The next week is the second week of free agency, which also gives you a chance to scout. Typically, if multiple teams are trying to get the same free agent, that free agent will narrow his list down of the teams he is interested in. You can then see his list of teams he narrowed it down too, so then you can decide if you need to up the ante on your offer or leave it as is. If say in week one of free agency you were the only person interested in a person, or your offer just blows them away then they may sign in between week 1 and week 2 of free agency.

The next week is the third and final week of free agency, this once again gives you more scouting time/scouting points. It works how week two did, he narrows down his list and only accepts if your the only one or he got an offer that blew him away. But keep in mind this is your last chance to put in a offer, once it is progressed past this week all the free agents with offers will make there final decision.

The next week is just more scouting time/scouting points. This is the last opportunity you'll have to do any scouting before the draft.

The next week is the rookie draft, i'm sure you guys will learn more about how that goes once you actually do it. The nice feature is that the commissioner can pause it at anytime.

The next week is basically a recap of the draft and gives you all the contract info for your rookies. The rookies are all on a pay scale and are signed automatically. The game actually puts aside salary cap that you can't use, because it saves it for the rookies cap room.

After that you are into the next preseason
 
Instant classic. Great game Mog.

Texans went up 10-0 early on two Flacco picks. Baltimore struck back to make it 10-7 and then Schaub proceeded to throw a terrible pick to Ray Lewis. A few plays later and it was 14-10. Houston mounted a nice drive but again settled for a field goal to make it 14-13 at the half. Houston got the ball in the 3rd and AGAIN settled for a field goal to make it 16-14.

This is where it turned. Baltimore drove right down the field and scored on a nice Ray Rice run straight up the gut. Ed God Hands Reed quickly ended the next drive when Schaub threw a pass to Owen Daniels that pinballed off 3 guys and somehow landed in Reed's hands who of course housed it.

Late in the 4th with the Ravens up 28-16, Ray Rice fumbled while trying to ice the game and it was returned to the Baltimore 20. A few plays later, Andre Johnson found the endzone to make it 28-23 with 30 seconds to play. The onside kick of course failed, but I had all 3 timeouts. Baltimore makes a gutsy first down call and goes playaction to Torrey Smith to seal the game.

I shouldn't have been in this one to begin with, would've been blowout city if it wasn't for my D.

My offense still needs to evolve, especially in the redzone. Foster got shutdown and I didn't have much of an answer through the air. Mog spreads the ball around quite well.

GG Mog, good luck in the Superbowl.
