Madden 13 Official CAG League - On Hiatus. See you in August for Madden 25!
so i was a little concerned when i saw i drafted a cb with 10 awareness to be my #2...but this guy had 4 picks in my practice game (none of them user-controlled at any point), so i am pretty excited again lol.
10?!

Yeah lol, my other rookie CB is 10 awareness too...I'd check all of yours too. At least 2 of the interceptions were on slants that he jumped, so I dunno if I'm gonna even bother bumping up his awareness, especially at over 1,000 XP per point, it's gonna take like 80,000 XP just to get his awareness to a respectable level.
It won't.
is there something u can see so i can check at least .... ill look for 8 rookies but.just in case

Nope. The CPU won't make any cuts for you unless you set yourself to auto though, I don't know where you're getting this idea. All the guys your team drafted will be on your team.

i thought i saw fero say there would be 5 min after the draft to sign rookies so if i didnt sign them manually they would be auto signed or cut... i dont knoe.who.was drafted after the second rd so im just hopin i have 8 rookies like i should... just figured i ask

Ah, I see where the confusion is. All rookies are signed automatically, you never have to do them manually. The rookie signing period just lets you review who you picked basically. If you had to manually sign guys, we obviously would have given more than 5 minutes. :D
hold up we can play our preseason games now ???
As I said, if both teams have enough players to play, you can go ahead. Guys who still need to fill out their roster will need to wait.

Well, I am fairly pleased with how the Jaguars ended up. Certainly better that they were. I am going to keep them for the coming season. Hopefully you commissioners are okay with me staying, and how I have handled the Jags off season.

On another note, how does the RG I blind drafted in the 5th round have only a 50 OVR. I honestly didn't know it was possible to go that low.
question:
if u cant buy development trait for a player does that mean hes already at superstar?
Yeah I'm pretty sure that's the case...I got 2 of em myself : - )

More than okay with it! :D

Can you post all your info like we have it in the OP so that we can add you to the list officially?

When in doubt, check the Awareness rating. It's the black hole into which OVR is sucked. Sure enough, his is 20.

Reminder for pre-season games: Just because injuries are off isn't an excuse to mine for XP. Let the game sub your starters out automatically. Although do remember that the game swaps the kicker and punter, which you can fix.

Yeah, I noticed his blocking stats weren't that bad for a rookie, but that is what is killing his OVR for sure.
I am also unsure how my seventh round Wide Receiver has 99 Awareness, but I will take it!

I'm decently pleased with my draft considering I didn't have 1st or 4th round picks and I barely had a plan going in. I didn't get any starters, but I got some guys who could be intriguing pieces.

In the 2nd I picked up a burner WR who's got 98 speed and decent release.

In the 3rd I picked a LE I hadn't scouted but was a high projected pick. Turned out to be pretty decent, and will probably see some action in my 4-3.

Most of the other guys I drafted were just depth, but in the 6th round I drafted a random WR for his name (Tim Trinca-Pasat) who turned out to have 97 speed and be a pretty decent kick returner. Will be a nice fill-in for Dexter McCluster's weekly injury. :D

My biggest regret is that I did nothing to address the offensive line, which is my most glaring area of need. The guys I liked were all gone by the time I picked though, so the opportunity just wasn't there.

my mlb is beast then becuz i cant buy any development for him and in his first preseason game
6 tackles
3 sacks
1 int

my center and my mlb are amazing and my kicker i drafted with 99 power could hit it from anywhere

michael floyd will fill in great for roddy white

some random CB i drafted is my new return man turns out he was fast.

almost forgot about dennis pitta that dude can catch

as for now all the new falcon additions have turned out great

Terry McFadden? I see it as 28...

I was upset you draft him, since we'd decided he's Darren McFadden's little brother I wanted him. I was going to sneak him into the backfield in DMC's place and run screens to him. :D

did anyone draft any beast QBs RBs or WRs i didnt scout that position much since well im good at all three esp WR
My 1st round pick is a beast at dropping passes.
:whistle2:k

72 cth, 83cit, 88spc, 65 rte, 71 release, 87 speed, 70 injury, slow development...

What, is he funny or something? ;)

Uber got a 81 OVR HB with 99 speed in the 1st round. That dude will probably be a beast.

Jets got a RB with 99 speed and 89 carry. I got a 99 carry 93 trucking back to replace Hillis.

Pretty happy with the draft. I got two guys that will get a lot of playing time and one project CB who will most likely become my nickel CB with a bit of work.

Excuse me, I spoke incorrectly, I meant 99 elusiveness. Which to be honest, I have no idea what it does for a receiver.

sounds like colbie ross or wutever the RB u drafted last year is back and on the jets wonder wut his accel is. i guess uber wont be worrying about passing the ball as much this year. thats ok if i play uber i will light the rb up with Krunch

I wanted that guy badly until I saw his injury rating. I look forward to breaking his spine with Von Miller twice a season. ;)

Not sure, but he dropped 3 passes in limited action. All in stride.

Should be fun when I can get him going though. I finally have a legitimate #2. TO didn't really work out.

I drafted him because everything else was there. I can dump XP into his injury rating pretty quickly. Plus he will spend most of his time up the middle, far away from Von Miller. :D

You know when you have a guy tackled and he slips out of it like an annoying little bitch? Elusiveness.

Cobie. He was a very different back though, he was fast but he was basically Adrian Peterson Jr. Uber's guy is much more of a speed back.

What about him makes you think he's a legitimate number two? Just curious. I guess he does have good size.

That said, I'm sure you'll dominate with him.

There is no such thing as far away from Von Miller. He is omnipresent. ;)
i take it we are only allowed to take 1 for now so ill take Kicker Dave Rayner.
Yes, only 1 for now.

Re-posting.

Group 1 May Now Pick

1. Jags - FS Nick Collins
2. Seahawks
3. Browns
4. Bucs - K Dave Rayner
5. Cowboys
6. Raiders - CB Rashean Mathis
7. Giants
8. Packers

This group will have until 10:30AM EST tomorrow morning.

A few things to note:

1. If your roster isn't full, you don't need to drop a guy. But please post who you pick up.

2. Keep your cap space in mind. These guys do take contracts, so you might not be able to sign the expensive guys without dropping someone.

3. As always, we go by posts in the thread, not who adds them first in game. Once you post in the thread that you added a guy, he's yours.

4. Make sure you don't sign anyone on the restricted list (can someone re-post that?) unless their owner has said they don't want them.
What about him makes you think he's a legitimate number two? Just curious. I guess he does have good size.
Definitely the size. That was one of the big reasons I wanted to do the Malcolm Floyd trade last season. He's no Floyd, but he has the potential to be.

And he's definitely an upgrade over Kevin Walter...

Dolphins Draft was Rather Successful...

Round 1. LOLB D. Tyson 81 OVR
Round 2. CB G. Robinson 74 OVR
Round 2. SS M. Mata 75 OVR
Round 3. LE C. Hardman 76 OVR
Round 3. DT C. Moore 78 OVR
Round 4. WR L. Gaines 65 OVR
Round 5. TE A. Johnson 55 OVR
Round 7. WR D. Jackson 54 OVR
Jags are grabbing Nick Collins, FS.
2nd time the Jags signed him.

Wish you could've taken control sooner before the team fell apart. There were several players that left for fa that never gave me a chance ever to resign with the team.

im picking up the worst kicker and punter so i can do my practice and then ill cut them
.. somehow cpu managed not to fill them spots thru draft

can i play my game if i have 42 or 43 players on my team? i still want to fill my roster but i cant for now but i really want to play my preseason games??

Man having the CPU draft really nail me over. I figured id get a better QB by picking any of them but nope. Did draft a good RE OVR 87ish though.

Browns add G.McCoy

just curious becuz i wasnt around last preseason but how fast will we be advancing?

also i was thinking if we are having problems with having filled rosters isnt there a good chance it will only get worse as we do more seasons? or will we just have to keep FA opened more than usual?

i need to do a count on wut my roster is sitting becuz im not even sure
