Oh, sure, I'll jump in on this too...
Round 1: RB Aerion Boudreaux, 78 Overall
99 Speed! Time to figure out how to run the ball! I used him in a practice already and I'm already seeing the difference with a back who can make it around the edge. Mostly a Sproles type back now, but has a high carry and even his powerback stats (stiff arm, trucking) are in the 70s. Superstar development trait will help here.
Round 2: OLB Kalik Turner, 76 Overall
Mostly a need pick with Aaron Mabin leaving and my current starting sitting at 69 OVR. 80+ block shedding and tackle are his highlights, so pretty average across the board, but again another Superstar development player so hopefully I can boost him to a capable player quickly. Another immediate starter for my team.
Round 3: RT Jeff Ross, 81 Overall
With three RTs on my roster, I didn't need Ross but he was best available and at 81 OVR he's better than all my other RT I had already (at least by OVR). His pass and run block attributes are only 77, but looking at another Superstar development player so he'll start to get those much-needed reps. High strength and impact blocking already, which is good because strength is expensive and impact blocking I hate sinking XP into. **If you drafted RG Cane, I would love to swap!**
Round 4: FB Okoye Aristotle, 77 Overall
I would be lying if I didn't say I didn't draft this guy mostly for his name. He does have Quick development and he's only the 2nd FB on my team (and my current starter is on the last year of his deal), so I'm pretty happy with the pick. Only 70 run block, but high trucking and decent catching for a FB. Might be my 4th starter from this draft class.
Round 4: RE Javia General, 79 Overall
Another best available pick that worked out for me. I don't know where I'll fit him in with Coples (last year's rookie) as my main DE backup but he'll get some time for sure. Very average end stats: 73 power moves, 61 block shed, 68 pursuit, but another Quick development guy, so here's hoping.
Round 4: WR Aaron Graham, 65 Overall
Here I just decided to draft WRs in hope to finding a gem. Whiffed here. 87 release, 86 speed, 81 catch in traffic, 71 catch, so could be worse.
Round 5: WR Levi Watson, 66 Overall
6'4", 232 pounds. My dumpster diving in WR paid off a bit here. 74 catch, 86 catch in traffic, 89 spectacular catch, 75 route running, 91 release, 99 jump, 87 speed. Don't mind if I do! Will slide in as my #4 WR right away. Once I boost that catch, he might move up further. Stephen Hill already dropped 2 wide open catches in practice, so might be sooner rather than later we see Watson.
Round 6: WR Tyree Brown, 58 Overall
I wasn't kidding about drafting all WRs and hoping for a gem. Whiffed here too.
Round 7: WR Brandon Harris (UConn alum!), 60 Overall
96 speed, will be returning kicks and punts. Fairly poor receiving attributes though. 76 catch, 68 catch in traffic, 79 route running, 71 release. Definitely a special teamer.
Dang...well SOMEBODY sure referenced the draft sheet excel file!! Quite a good haul you got there...
I used that excel file to bump up some players I already planned on drafting to the top of the list lol. That WR I got was #2 on my list, and the LT was #1 (at their respective positions...I wasn't sure who I was gonna draft where).
