lol u were trying to get the kicker lol
i wanted him becuz matt bryant was 88 kicker power getting 3 million a year so now i have a rookie thats 99 kick power
 
WOW awesome draft for me so far! I was struggling between that WR (Bumpers) and LT (Crane) in the first round, I was so happy the LT was still there in the 2nd...98 strength, 92 impact blocking, 87 run blocking, 80 pass block. Gonna move him to RT though, Gross still has a couple years in him.
 
Looks like i learned my lesson on putting too many scouting points into a few positions. I'll be flying blind most of the second half of this draft.

I'm sure everyone will be...there's only so much you can scout (I had 60,000 XP invested in multiple positions and I'll be going blind past the 3rd round I'd imagine). Besides, it's more exciting that way!

I'm still trying to move two cheap players today. Austin Howard 75 OVR, RT. And Shonn Greene 83 OVR, HB. Both very very affordable. Looking for a 3rd round pick, or a RG after the draft.

Man people were actually scouting kickers? Lol...I probably should have, although I spent all season upgrading my kicker's power all the way to 88!!

I was spending the whole 3rd round trying to figure out which guy I was gonna pick...after it finally got to my turn, I remembered Carolina traded away their 3rd :(

i scouted all the LT's i think remember one being really good in the late draft i didnt go into his number but i remember his injury being a D so maybe thats the guy u ended up getting not sure if u checked his injury or not but i did that with every player i was interested in it was an auto pass for me if it was below b sometimes depending on the position it had to be an A

Yeah that was probably him lol, I didn't scout injuries much :/ O-linemen don't get injured too often in this game though, so I'm not TOO worried...hopefully his toughness is 99!!
 
The first 8 people in FA are lucky, getting to sift through all the rookies for some undrafted hidden gems. I'm sure there are gonna be some good ones out there.

Key Stats: 93 trucking, 95 stiff arm
Contract: 2 years remaining, $2.56M 2013 cap hit

Austin Howard, RT
26 years old, 75 OVR
Key Stats: 86 run block, 83 pass block
Contract: 3 years remaining, $560k 2013 cap hit

I'm most interested in RG or FS. For the RG, someone with similar stats (or better) to Howard, with a similar deal. For the FS, I'm looking for someone with good zone coverage. Catch or hit power is a plus. I'm less interested, but could also deal for OLB or SS. For both of those positions, hit power would be key. Pursuit a plus. As is block shedding or one of the moves (finesse or power). Thanks!

We will be doing three rounds of organized free agency. After that we'll open it up for everyone to fill their rosters.
 
Are anyone else's "Team Goals" bugged for their OLBs? When I try to check their goals out in the "Team Goals" screen, they're all the way at the bottom with the Bears logo and no player names :/ I can only tell which players they are if I press A on the question marks.

1. If your roster isn't full, you don't need to drop a guy. But please post who you pick up.

2. Keep your cap space in mind. These guys do take contracts, so you might not be able to sign the expensive guys without dropping someone.

3. As always, we go by posts in the thread, not who adds them first in game. Once you post in the thread that you added a guy, he's yours.

4. Make sure you don't sign anyone on the restricted list (can someone re-post that?) unless their owner has said they don't want them.
 
Pretty happy with my draft. Got a couple project playmakers at RB and Wr. Then i took a shot in the dark on an OLB in the third round and he was a 70 ovr, with 83 block shed, 83 speed, 92 accel and 83 agil. Then somewhere in the draft, the cpu drafted me an 81 ovr RE.

So I was a little concerned when I saw I drafted a CB with 10 awareness to be my #2...but this guy had 4 picks in my practice game (none of them user-controlled at any point), so I am pretty excited again lol.
