Madden 13 Official CAG League - On Hiatus. See you in August for Madden 25!

im glad they have practice mode last yr id trade guys to the lions so i could use them butni couldnt do that for rookies... also it sounds fun and is something to do while games are being waiting to be played
 
So...this whole XP system is really gonna up the incentive for people to run up the score. Well not necessarily run up the score...but at least to keep running plays rather than kneeling the ball, since XP is performance-based. I hate running up the score and unsportsmanlike conduct more than most I'd say, but I'd also hate to be giving up on free XP to progress my team. Are we gonna allow any leniency on this? Or are we still going to firmly maintain our rules against running the score up.

Hypothetically...let's say one of the weekly goals is to get 300 yards passing in your game, and you're up 21 in the 4th quarter with 2 minutes left and 250 yards passing. Would you be allowed to attempt to get those last 50 yards passing or would we be expected to kneel out the clock at that point (let's say your opponent has 0 timeouts)? There's so much grey area here...I don't really see any room for flexibility. Seems like we should either outlaw it altogether or just allow everyone to duke it out with no restrictions.

THOUGHTS??!?!?!
 
We'll see what the goals are and how much XP we actually get by achieving that goal. I'm leaning towards restrictions in the situation you described though.

The whole point of this league is to not play like a dick. Some users still struggle with that.

This. We won't change our philosophy on running up the score at all.
 
So do the Pats, Steelers, Eagles and other teams with great head coaches not only have a better team, but start with a better coach? If that's the case we should just start by firing every coach, making new ones each, and hiring them.

Right?

Everyone is a fresh new coach when we start there is no better we'll all start the same.

Having been out of the game so long I wonder how many games I'm going to win this year. Hb ratings weren't bad with beanie, but a lot of those low 90's are pretty Gracious.
In grounds of running up the score, going to say I played in a game where following edict would have won them the game if they followed it and got burnt throwing deep, up late and in a clear kneeling situation. Would you consider that a strike?

I just hope they got rid of the feature where the league lobby would broadcast what was being said by anyone else in the lobby who happened to have a Kinect. That got awkward a few times as I recall.
 
I'm mapping my face in the game for sure but I don't normally play on the tv where we have our kinect so you won't hear my wife talking randomly.

ballhawk wasnt a vet he was my friend after the first season he started to be hard to contact ultimate matt was a newby also i dont know him

Ahh guess I never realized that. I knew ballhawk was hard to get ahold of but I thought both of them had been around for awhile.
 
i think if ur really interested in this league ur gonna check for a thread more often then right before the game came out.... i knew i had a spot and still kept checking the old thread.... we have picked up a lot of good guys who are ez to communicate with and hopefully some.of the new guys this season are the same way

Yessss Jonathan Stewart just signed a 5-year extension with the Panthers! My first major project as the Madden '13 Carolina Panthers was going to be addressing his contract. Now I need someone else to look into....Panthers have almost all of their starters signed on for the next 2 years.

I guess he's in no hurry to become a starter. Pretty crowded backfield in Carolina.
 
Went absolutely beast mode on the first day of my big Alumni softball tournament. One of the best hitting days I've ever had. Feels good, man.

Nope. You had the same chance to get a team as everyone else. It might be possible to switch at some point, but I wouldn't expect it early on. Those guys will definitely be in, worry not.
 
just a reminder when the game comes out i will be in kazakstan until spetember 22 but staticz will be subbing for me

Looking forward to playing as the colts, there have been so many changes with that team, I'm curious how porous the O-line really is. Can't wait to unwrap the game and atleast try out the new toy in A.Luck.

Thanks, I had ordered Fall of Cybertron and cancelled so I could switch it to my Prime account yesterday. Cancelled and reordered today with the razor.

Yeah I'm the Browns, I'm actually excited since they have so much damn cap room. But if you wanted to, I'd swap since I'm partial to Stafford for winning me a fantasy league lol
