Seriously though, I have no idea how you people put up these kind of yards in a 20-minute game.
Good offense bad defense. Speaking for myself that is.

I have the 32 pass defense and the 31 defense right now in the league.

He had 3 TDs I think all to hill he through a seam rt in my zone untouched... all 70 yards or more I think..we threw the entire game pretty much.. my def has gone so far beyond shit its terribke .. my CPU don't react and get burnt I try to do it and fuck up and get burnt... it was a complete battle which he won the turnover ratio. I even caught a break where he muffed a punt and cj fumbled the next play that I think was down but couldn't challenge

Should be interesting when we play later this season, considering right now you're scoring about 50 points a game and I've allowed 10 total through 3 games.

Hopefully ur CBS play better then mine

just in terms of the 2 day advancement, here's always been my feeling. One of my better friends and I have been doing 2 player madden franchises since madden 05, but cant do if this year (damn you EA) but I'm always the Bills and he's the Jets and we only play the games against each other. And I've always said that playing every game is why people get burned out. My favorite part of madden is developing players, doing the draft and building up a perennial super bowl contender. I had brought up the idea of playing only divisional or conference games and simming the rest. It would speed up the process (2 day advancement would be more realistic) and it would require people to make trades that make sense. I.e no more mortaging the future for Tom Brady/Peyton Manning. I know that its no more fun getting beaten by 50 than it is to win by 50. I brought this up with the jv league in madden 12 and people didnt like the idea, and I don't expect people to be into it in this league. But I just figured I'd offer my opinion because Madden isn't created with playing 3 or 4 seasons in mind than stopping. In madden 05 my friend and made it to the end of the franchise! and ended up loading the teams into another new franchise (whoa those 2035 salaries were huge) and that to me personally, that's the reason why I play madden
edit- i joined a public league recently and I actually saw that you can set up the league sliders higher for the CPU than for the User teams, this could also be a fix for worrying about filling teams quickly without needing to move the difficulty to all madden.

yeh i was mad muffed that punt cuz the guy was there early and everything just bounced off him ugh lol but then you did fumble so i felt much better.

yes it shall be fun. plus not to mention we have only played once before. My first season in the league and you won, But after losing 7 games that first season i have only lost 1. so i am pretty excited to see how that game turns out.

Plus i still have a few tough games. Cards, Cheifs, Panthers and a few more i just dont know off the top of my head so it should be a fun ride. my goal is to win another superbow :) we will see how that plays out.

I finally have an offence I can score with but I simply don't have the talent on defence to make any real noise this year. My corners need to be upgraded and I need some much needed help at LB.

On a positive note, WR Trent Platt continues to dominate the league posting yet another 200 yard receiving game and 2 TD's in a 7 point loss to the Bengals. Platt leads the league in receiving yards, AVG per catch and AVG per game. Man he is simply a beast.
i like the idea of quicker advancements means more games and more seasons
It also means more people quitting faster. You honestly think us pleebs enjoy getting our asses kicked so much that we want a FASTER advancement time.

Getting my ass kicked Twice a week right now is mindbogglingly frustrating as it is... I literally turn my xbox off very pissed off twice a week....all over madden;)

I told bv earlier (when i was in a good mood) that 2 day advancements would be great.

5 hours later, after an absolute fairly played ass stomping by ramesu....

I now believe 2 day advancements would be the worst thing for this league.

I vote no.

P.S. Yes. I understand completely that my "talent level" Does not belong in this league. 3 Years of cag madden league has proven that time and time again. Perhaps the majority of you awesome people wish to advance 2 days a week....and if the vast majority of you are for it, i'll gladly step away and let you guys take the league into the clouds;)
Hopefully I can push my record to 4-0 this week

On that note, Broncos-Raiders going down 8:30PM EST tomorrow.
4-0 that should not be a problem
d I've allowed 10 total through 3 games.
Going to be 13 through 4 games I will get a FG on my last drive.

lol its not like im a great player either but i still enjoy palying. every now and then i find it frustrating to lose but i figure u cant win them all im just glad to get the wins i do every now and then

Me and Doomane were playing (saints vs giants)

It was a back and forth game he went up two scores, i scored then onside kicked with 3 timeouts left. on my screen, it says he recovered and i was on the defense pick a play screen. On his screen it said I recovered and he was on defense.. So nobody recovered lol we took timeouts, chose players and everything but nothing would happen. Just kept delay of gaming.. So we are gonna reschedule this game because I cant play tonight

Wow. Just when I thought I'd seen it all. That's truly a weird one.

Chargers 27 Colts 7

Hurns - 8/10 227 yards 1 TD 0 INT
Matthews - 195 yards 20 ATT 2 TD
6 different receivers on 8 completions
K. Phillips - 6 tackles 2 INTs 1 Sack

Luck - 17/33 266 yards 1 TD 5 INT
Fleener - had a monster game with 11 catches for 168 yards 1 TD

The Colts fell behind early and couldn't recover. Luck threw 5 picks and Matthews had a career running day making it difficult for the Colts to stage a comeback.

GG Colts
I am in pretty much the same boat as Sir Adam.
Yup, same, if that wasn't obvious from my earlier replies.

I would honestly give it a fair shot, but would not be surprised if my games started getting simmed or my opponents playing the CPU and at that point, I'd probably walk away just fine. I like the league. It is fun most of the time, however, I don't want it to become a part-time job.

PS: Still haven't heard from OG. It's approaching 24 hours. Another reason I don't want to advance in 48 hours because I would literally have one single day to get it in at this point. Well, I'm actually going to the Nets-Nuggets game on Wednesday so that's the case here as well. If you know OG, track him down for me!

I think we're gonna give them to dr0ppinL0adz if he's still interested. Deuce hasn't been around in a few days, and besides I think he'd prefer the Texans. I just sent him a PM to see if he can join up, and if so you can coordinate with him. If you guys can't find a time, I think you can probably play the CPU.
Pats-Jets going down at 7pm EST.
Pats-Jets hopefully pushed back to 11pm EST.

Date came up.

Edit: Confirmed for around 11pm EST.

I still get the young players I like and cut some bad salaries and chetty still gets his QB of the future. We also took Weddle (91 overall) out of the trade to make it a lot less one sided.
Highly recommend Far Cry 3.

PC version if you can because of all the mod support. They're working on a Jurassic Park mod. :D
I'm on the fence as to whether buy the next Xbox or build a new gaming PC and call it good. I'd assume the league would stay on x360 for at least Madden 14 (or Madden 25, whatever they are calling it) and then maybe flip for M15. We'll see though, two years is a lot of guessing lol.

Depends on your budget. If you're not going with a high end card, I'd just wait for the new consoles. They'll be on par with mid to high level PCs graphically.

I went PC for the mods though. They completely change some games.

I build one every 4-5 years. Right now I'm running a Q6600, 8GB of RAM and a nvidia GTS250. I can hardly run Dead Island so it is time for an upgrade.

The biggest draw for me is Steam/Amazon sales. Cheap games make me happy

Yeah I'd say so. Did you have a card in mind?

And yeah, the sales are ridiculous, I have more than I can play in this lifetime. The humble bundles are crazy.

Not really. I need to start researching. We just bought a new Jeep so it'll probably be summertime before I do anything. New cars are expensive, especially Wranglers

I wish I knew what all of this meant... I don't play to many PC games cause my CPU aint fast enough to handle it.. I've never played any online PC games

Denver Broncos 31 - Oakland Raiders 6

The Broncos traveled to Oakland and continued their absolutely torrid start to the season in moving to 4-0. Clearly this team has a chip on its shoulder after the way last season ended. The defense stretched its streak of not allowing a touchdown to 15 quarters, a truly impressive mark. They held the Raiders to only 102 yards of total offense in this one. So far they're allowing only 4 points per game this season, and Osweiler has yet to be intercepted. Certainly a recipe for success.

Osweiler was 12 of 16 for 200 yards, 1 TD and 0 INT. The gameplan called for more passing than usual, and he answered the call. He's having an excellent season so far.

Warner was 6 of 17 for 96 yards, 0 TDs and 1 INT. His INT was on a play where the 40-year old showed surprising athleticism in shaking off a sack from Von Miller, though in retrospect he probably wished he'd taken it given that the ball ended up in Haden's hands for a pick six.

DMC had 15 carries for 76 yards and a TD. McGahee continued to show me absolutely no reason he deserves a new contract, carrying 10 times for 15 yards, though he did open the scoring with a TD. So far this has been about a 3-2 timeshare, but I'm not sure how much I can justify continuing to give McGahee so many carries if he keeps playing like this. He's certainly not earning that big contract he's asking for.

Rookie Sean Moorhouse carried 5 times for 31 yards, though the Raiders turned to the pass early.

Nice game for both Broncos wideouts, as VJax caught 5 balls for 82 yards and a score and Thomas added 4 catches for 84 of his own.

Hilliard lead the Raiders with 3 catches for 45 yards.

The Broncos got a big game from Von Miller, with 6 tackles and 3 sacks (one a strip, though the Raiders fell on it). He just missed on several others. Joe Mays also had a sack on a play where Warner tried to scramble before realizing he is not Pryor. Haden had a nice pick six.

The Raiders got a sack from Matt Shaughnessy and Michael Huff had 9 tackles, but that was about it.

---
gg Tanabeo! As I said in my message, I think you probably abandoned the run a bit too soon, but I definitely understand the compulsion to pass when you get behind.
the raiders just got their shit pushed in
Don't take it too hard, I seem to be doing that a lot this season. I just realized that since the Chargers scored on the opening drive of the season, I haven't allowed a single TD in 3+ games. I certainly expect that streak to end next week when I visit the Ravens.

Got to give Huff his credit he had 9 tackles

Also want play book does everyone use on Def I'm looking for a good 4-3 the 46 is only good for stopping the run and if anyone wants to give me any tips on how to stop a curl nothing I try works
Got to give Huff his credit he had 9 tackles
I'll add that. Though usually if my safety has 9 tackles I view it as a bad sign. ;)

Please welcome our newest league member... dr0ppinL0adz... I'm just gonna call you DL if that's okay.

He'll be taking over the Rams, though he said Chetty can play the CPU this week since their schedules won't align.

I use Denver's own. I picked it up this year, I used to use Multi D when I had the Pats. I really like it, though it doesn't have a 3-4 set.

And I don't think I'm giving too much away on how to stop the curl route: Stop playing your corners 10 yards off my WRs. ;)

I play man and press I still get picked apart I have tried dropping my olbs into purples to help and they won't even jump up to swat the ball
