I tried to figure out my playoff chances last night, didn't have much luck. I think I need to win out and get some help. Maybe I can slide into the wild card and this season won't be a total disaster!

You can definitely still get in. Even the Ravens haven't clinched a spot yet, though they're obviously the closest.

Ravens, Jags, Dolphins, Jets and Chiefs are all vying for 2 spots.
 
What would be the consensus on me moving McCluster to HB? He's listed as a WR but frequently lines up as an HB for the Chiefs...

Edit: Not sure how much it matters but here are his career stats to prove that he spends time at the HB position -

Rushing Attempts - 144
Rushing Yards - 657
Receptions - 119 (178 targets)
Receiving Yards - 989
Receiving TDs - 3

Also, I believe the Jags and Dolphins (and ravens) control their own fate. Everyone else needs us to lose.

See I try to do this nutty thing where I look at the field, and pass to the OPEN player, not just to two rookies I scooped with early draft picks.

In this game you clearly underestimated McCoy, and it cost you. Learn to cover with a linebacker yourself(double cover him, or put a speedier lb on him, or a corner, or get outta that crap 46 thing you kept running). I can think of multiple opponents that woulda had been pick 6ing the shit outa those routes. You leave McCoy open, ill dump it off all day (with numerous plays of course, which you clearly, like your linebackers, did not pick up on)

Since DJax had, count it, 4 catches, I obviously always dump it to underneath route. He had less than 1/4 of the touches McCoy had on hand offs, so clearly i run the same two plays over and over.

You can't just remove my running game for your argument, Conley had the ball 39 times, DJax had 2 possibly 3 underneath routes outta 39 plays.

I don't think he will, actually. You're welcome to play around with it in practice and see what you can accomplish with it.

I wouldn't have a problem with you trying that, though I don't think it's a particularly good idea.
 
With a HUGE win over the Bengals, the Bills clinch the AFC East and remain in the hunt for the #1 Seed and a bye week in the postseason. My Quarterback has made the difference and my defense has been stellar (sans the mid-point of the season when I allowed close to 1,000 yards rushing in 3 games).

It was extremely boring. I really don't care if you disagree with this or not. It was like watching paint dry.

Yes I realize my INT rate is crazy high, it happens. This season has been all about developing what little I have on offense to work with. I now finally have two weapons to work with. We are all not blessed with a good roster to work with. The Browns are mess, especially on defense and it takes time.

I know how good he is. He is a very talented back no doubt but you constantly had him as your 3rd and or 4th WR on a lot of plays running underneath routes over and over again. Also in some cases this exact play would be done out of the backfield over and over again. Again you don't use numerous plays, just the same 2 or 3 every time.

Yes he did have 4 catches but they were all identical coming across the field each time. No diversity what so ever. I have no issue with D.Jax and what you did, its McCoy I have the issue with.

You can muddy the waters all you want, I know the bullshit you pulled and I think its weak. Simple as that.

Done with this argument.. Moving on.
 
There's nothing wrong with throwing to HBs out of the backfield, though I personally think it forms bad habits. If he were cheesing HB screens, that would be another matter, but I'm not sure what the objection is to running actual routes with McCoy. There are also only so many routes a HB can realistically run. In any case, it's really not that hard to stop, especially if you're prepared for it.
 
Not to instigate or anything...but to be fair, I believe the Saints publicly expressed an issue with LV's offensive gameplan when they played 1 or 2 weeks ago. Fortunately I get to play LV after we advance this week, so I'll get to see if there is any validity to these claims. I have a pretty high threshold for cheese (IF LV is really doing something cheesy) and I've learned to adjust pretty well on defense thanks to being in a division with Hemingway, so I'm pretty sure I won't have much issue with whatever it is.

Speaking of which...LV would you wanna play after advance tonight? Sorry I'm on my phone and I haven't figured out PMing on it (I can only seem to REPLY to PMs). Saints were complaining about desean, not lesean. And the boredom thing. And I think a correlation can be found here, both the saints and browns games I had the ball for over 13 minutes, maybe playing defense is boring to these two players?

I have the same problem on my phone, I'd be up to play right after we advance. As long as it is after 8pm Est, that's when I'm first available

It's gonna be a rough break for whichever of the AFC Big Four comes up short on a great regular season and is rewarded with mog in the first round.

With all 4 teams currently at 12-2, I have no idea who has a bye and who doesn't. I think Buffalo and Denver have the inside track, but I can't substantiate that.

I don't know about that. I just beat both guys by much larger margins, and neither complained about being bored. I think your gameplan is just very frustrating to play against, I think you would acknowledge that, and I'd say it's a part of your strategy. Nothing wrong with ball control and moving the ball incrementally down the field, I do essentially the same thing (though my attack is a bit more diverse). I think Mile High is conflating frustration with cheapness: I do understand why he'd find it frustrating, but I don't agree that makes it cheap.

Not in the least. As long as it's within the rules, frustrating your opponent and throwing him off his gameplan is just smart strategy.

Bears messaged me on xbox last night saying he was free all weekend. Guessing he didnt know we're advancing tonight. I pm'ed him - waiting on a response. im free all morning/afternoon but ut I'll be unavailable from 4pm-8pm cst...so im ok with a sim if we're holding up the advance.

btw are we really allowed to move a #1 wr into the slot?? That seems cheap as hell. I know some formations automatically move the #1 from the right to left side of the field, but manually moving the WR to the slot (or to change to a package that puts him there) seems so cheesy imo.
 
On another note, I don't endorse anything BSeti says about the gunslinging master free agent pick up that is Jared Conley.

But my #1 pick Boyce, he's a bum.

Unless they've patched it out of the game. You should be able to set any WR as the third down running back, but I don't think there is any way to set him as an every down back. I tried doing this online a little bit with Cobb when the Packers started using him in that manner IRL.

It should be done very sparingly. They should always be #1 in the depth chart, and we've addressed that before. I'm not going to say "the top receiver should never be in the slot", because there are some formations that put them there automatically, but that shouldn't be something that someone uses constantly. At that point it becomes an exploit.
 
Assuming the Vikings owner's CAG name is thefranchise2410 , I pmed him yesterday and also today , does anybody know him ? and what time is the deadline also ? I haven't checked xbox live yet to see if he messaged me directly there but assuming he hasn't what time could he be placed on auto assuming I dont hear from him. Im only asking so I can plan my schedule accordingly ?

I'll respond to PM's once I can get on CAG via computer, but I should clarify: I am going to do my best to win my last couple games, so I can't guarantee my pick will be #1. Also, I don't want to trade for draft picks. Looking for linemen on both sides (especially offensive linemen) and maybe a DB or two.

I have Man. So im having Cru try to contact him to see when he'll be home. Im only available tonight, tomorrow and then during the afternoon on sunday. So unless he can make sunday afternoon(he said his trip is until the 9th so im guessing saturday is out of the question), i might ask to play the cpu.

Ill update you when Cru gets back to me.
