Mikey Vick takes about ten seconds per play adjusting his chin strap, I have had halfs end on me. it sucks.

I get what you're saying, but you've got to look at it from the perspective of your opponent. If you just got a big/sick play, that means they just gave one up. They're probably not happy with themselves, and the last thing you want to see in that situation is your opponent showing you up by diving into the endzone. I don't like it when guys in the NFL do it, and I definitely don't think it has any place in a league like this where camaraderie and the spirit of good sportsmanship is something we strive for.

So I appreciate what you're saying, but I think the rule is a good one. That said, if you're playing against a friend (you and LV for example) and you know they won't care, than I'm not going to hassle you about it (or even find out if they don't complain). Just don't get into the habit.
 
For those who looked into the rules, you'll notice that we're implementing the oft-suggested trade review panel from last season. It's going to be the three commissioners and then two other guys from the league who you all can pick. The panel will vote on all trades (with anyone on the panel involved in the trade not being able to vote on it), majority wins. This doesn't mean that the trades can't still be discussed by the whole league, just that the final approval will rest with the committee (whereas last year it was just me/uber).

I'll go ahead and get the ball rolling by nominating Doomtime (who I'm guessing everyone will agree on) and staticz (since it was his idea in the first place). Whoever the league decides they want on the panel is fine with me though, I won't vote.
 
I would like to nominate Masterawesome to the committee and anyone else. I always felt Masterawesome had a good evaluation and a great understanding of Madden Value of players. He reasoning was always pretty fair also. So thats why I vote Masterawesome.

Nope, we won't be simming it. We'll be moving through it very quickly though (maybe one day per week). I was just saying that we'll be turning injuries off.

One note on diving in the endzone, I love that in this game you can freaking bury the guy trying to dive in if you are close enough to them.

you may have already covered this several times bv but whats the deal with qb sneaks? i havent noticed any real glitches with it, seems to get stuffed a lot more often...but i wouldnt mind playing without them, i think it would lead to people goin for it more often in situations where they should be punting...
 
As of now I think we're going to lift the ban, since it doesn't seem to be glitched. As long as it's not a 100% conversion, I don't have a problem with people doing it. You still shouldn't be doing it on 4th-and-1 from your own 40 in the first half or anything.

Added an Instant Start option to Connected Careers as a player
Numerous commentary improvements to address when lines trigger and what they say.
Added a trade notification in CCM for the NFL Draft
Fixed social media sharing post-game to address spacing issues
Improved the GameFace feature
Fixed Challenge Audio to make the appropriate call
Improved Physics Get-up post play
Adjusted created players in Connected Careers so that they always have high progression grades despite their backstory choices
Fixed defensive assignment issues against the CPU AI when users were in Man Coverage
Increased the chances to trade for a CPU team’s starter
Adjusted the scouting development trait in CCM to display as (Slow, Medium, Fast, or Superstar) instead of 0-3.
Added the ability to post results from H2H MUT games on Facebook/Twitter.
Numerous stability issues around the game in general were also included in the update to improve the overall experience and Connected Careers specifically.

We won't be starting Friday, the roster isn't out until Saturday morning. Once the league is set up we're going to allow at least a day for everyone to join before we start.

And yes, you'll need to wait since after joining the league you won't even be able to play your game until we start the preseason.

I'd say Sunday evening is the earliest we should expect to start playing, but Monday might be more realistic, it really depends on how fast everyone joins the league.
 
Another dumb thing (bug I guess or just complete carelessness) I noticed in Connected Careers is that post-game replays are no longer available PERIOD. You can't watch any highlights after the game...you can only look at your players' stats.

Had a bullshit madden experience earlier that I 100% hope they fix..could be a huge problem. I ran pass play and the opposing teams middle linebacker tipped and bobbled the ball it landed on the ground for a full second the middle linebacker then picked the ball up and the computer counted it as an interception. This happened in the first quarter with 2:40 remaining on the clock. After the play I went to coaching options and it did not give me the option to challenge the play. This is one of the most discouraging glitches I have ever seen.

Any more comments/questions/suggestions on the rules I posted yesterday?

Also, any more nominations for the trade review committee (seems like people might not care, lol). So far Doom, MA, and staticz have been mentioned.
 
I think trade review committee is making things more complicated than it needs to be.

If you present your trade right and put some insight behind the trade things like that shouldn't be needed.

They are, though. 95% of the hand wringing (read: arguing) in the league last year was over trade review. I think at times people were unclear on what the process was in terms of how we ratified trades. It's definitely essential that there is a clear system in place for how we deal with trades, whatever that system is.

If people want to continue to have trades approved solely by commissioner review, we can do that, but my sense last year was that people were behind the idea of a committee when it was raised.

Trust me when I say that based on last years experience, doing it this way is likely to make things less complicated, not more.

Sure, I believe I addressed that in the rules as well. Financial/contract considerations will definitely be taken into account this year, as well as the usual stuff like overall rating, age, position, etc.
 
On the Qb subbing it doesn't say wildcat when i played uber it said 2 wr 2 rb or something like that so i think they should have to send you a message
