Okay, looks like I figured things out--more or less. I have NEGATIVE 4 million in cap space so I'm not signing anyone anyways, but it looks like most of my players I can resign are still under contract for 2013. The only ones that seem to be missing from both my roster and my resign list are Bell, Bryan Thomas and Chad Johnson. I assume they retired, but I can't seem to find a list.
Anyway, my trade block looks like this for now:
Bart Scott, MLB, 87 OVR, 33 years old, 2 years left, 8.98M, 9.77M
I would consider Santonio Holmes as well for the right price. He's 87 OVR, 29 years old, 3 years left at 8.67M, 10.07M, 11.91M
I'm getting totally boned on this Jason Smith contract. This cannot be real either, because the Jets swapped in this guy for another middling OL. 24 million dollar bonus, with cap hits of 9.37M and 10.99M over the next 2 years. I would only save 1.37 million cutting him because of the bonus money. 73 OVR, hasn't seen a god damn snap all year. He's actually not terrible, (73 Pass Block, 81 Run Block, 84 Impact Block, 90 Strength) but the guy ahead of him outclasses him in every category pretty much and cost .0001% of his money. I wish I could justify cutting him, but at 1.37 million in savings, I might as well eat the bonus with him on my roster and use him for depth.
