If he still has 4 years left, than he shouldn't hit FA. I'm not sure whether guys can hold out or not (I don't think so) but that shouldn't make him a FA either way.

So, if DRC doesn't re-sign with Cru during Free Agency, will we allow Cru to sign him as a Free Agent once the season starts?

Good question. I think Cru should still need to offer DRC market value (ie the contract he is asking for) which is what it would have cost if he'd been able to negotiate with him before. If he does, I assume with no other offers that DRC will sign with him. If not, then I guess he would be able to sign him once the season starts.

I'm not 100% sure how it will work, since we've never been through a Madden 13 offseason or faced this situation before. We'll just have to see. This first offseason will be a learning experience for all of us.

I have not used my franchise tag all season , I almost used it on moss but I just gave him a good deal. I offered no one else a deal I am losing a decent amount of money to keep my cap free in anticipation of paying DRC whatever he wants

When you're at the offers screen, you should be able to press Y on a guy to apply the tag. It still works even if they've rejected your offer, so you should at least try to negotiate with everyone first.

I used my Tag on Urlacher. Hes old and wanted too much money, but I wasnt going to let him walk. Also, when will we know 100% about players like DRC, because I need to plan accordingly for how this is going to play out.

Right now. DRC is not on the table, Cru is going to be allowed to keep him. I'm not aware of any other players who are affected by this, but we'll see if anybody else steps forward.

Do we know where to view retirements yet? I saw TO's and I think Ed Reed's retirements listed on the news feed, but no list. I did notice that Donal Driver was no longer on my roster.

I haven't found it myself. I just noticed a few people missing from my roster and my list of signable players. They were all older guys too, so it was a good guess. I'm kind of excited I get to try someone new at safety (rookie or otherwise), and get another OLB the start as well. Not that I need anymore challenges thrown my way, but should be fun to mess with.

Just jumped on to check it out. A lot of nothing in the FA pool at QB, WR and RB, but pretty solid OL and DL for those in need. Just noticed Brandon Moore in there, guess I lost a guy. Oh and Landry is in there too. Not sure how they are avoiding my 1 year deals they had left, but my team is going to be even shittier this year.

Edit: Also lost my nice blocking TE and only have 3 WRs left. This advance really stripped my team. Bart Scott is even gone!

Edit2: Bart Scott is back! Though he shows up in the FA list. Lost a lot of OL and LB depth along with my WR depth. Jeez!

Edit3: I also lost my kicker with no cap space to sign another... This might be an issue.
 
BV both computer teams made offers to DRC ? smh and also is Laron Landry really a free agent, looks like BSeti sent a offer too ?
