Madden 13 Official CAG League - On Hiatus. See you in August for Madden 25!
Champ Bailey is on the block. 91 OVR, 95 man, 86 zone, 95 play recognition, 87 press, 77 catch, 91 speed.

I'm especially interested in moving back into the first round or in help along the O-line. Perhaps a WR. PM me with interest/offers.
It would a monumental accomplishment for you if anyone gave you a 1st rounder for Champ considering how old he is. Bearing in mind that Ed Reed and Peyton Manning just retired.

Perhaps. I'm in no hurry to move him, I'll be happy to hang on to him considering he's still an elite corner until he hangs it up.

Thanks for all of your work fero. Now...go vote on these trades ;)

Also....Steve Breaston has a $10 mil bonus. WTF?! Whoever wrote that contract should be shot.
Fool us once, BV... ;)
No one feels shittier about Peyton Manning retiring than I do, trust me.

Elvis Dumervil's is $30M. Thank god he's a useful player, because he's utterly unmovable with that bonus.

+1. It's bedtime! Need to make some pre-wedding weekend bids! My 7 million has to go far.

No one can talk about bonuses until my Jason Smith 24 million bonus is explained! That's outrageous.

According to the info I saw, there are 5 total weeks of Free Agency. Only this one will be so long, the next phases will all be a day or less.

with that information when would u say the draft would be next weekend? becuz that would be thanksgiving weekend plus blackfriday which means alot of sleepy people on Saturday

Edit: im sure with manning retiring that free up alot of cap space though but im sure u would have rather had good ole mark retire early in his career instead lol
No one feels shittier about Peyton Manning retiring than I do, trust me.

just to point out i know he retired this time but i have seen him go like 3 years before in a couple offline ones i played!!

any one intersted in green-ellis for a running back that can close out a game with 99 carry his contract isnt to bad

his overall ranges from a 79 to an 88 depending on ur system. not expecting to get to much for him maybe a 3rd or 4th rounder
I can't be the only redneck that took this the wrong way.
Haha I thought of it too. But I ain't redneck. Lol

Just FYI, you CAN retract a bid on a player...so if someone takes ownership of the Browns (and whatever other team was affected), they can retract their bids on those players that the CPU bid on.

And yes players can still regress between seasons.

Nope. I own the Browns right now and the only option I have is to select 'ready to advance.' I can't do anything with Free Agents.

Cool. Hopefully DRC isn't super eager to move to Cleveland.

Do you know if some FAs will accept after the first round of bidding? Or do they mostly wait until the end?

also when i did the offline league i didnt see like any players move in the first stage of Free agents. i dont think i have ever signed any free agent in the first round and i have done like 5 or 6 with chetty just for fun so chance are he will not
the trade was of course already approved last season so i feel good about this one getting approved again but we shall see!!
No it wasn't. They were still considering it when the deadline hit and we withdrew it, it was never given an up or down vote either way.

Hopefully Porter's pro bowl campaign and even better attributes will make the decision a bit easier.

If anyone is interested in Jared Allen or Antoine Winfield hit me up. Looking for high picks, RG, QB, and MLB.

Jared Allen- 1 year left- 8.29m
Antoine Winfield- 1 year left- 4.76m

Well, finally made some offers last night and I'm pretty happy with how I was able to spread what little money I had around. Unfortunately, I probably just had enough freed up to offer Landry a contract he wouldn't immediately turn down but with everyone else in play for him I decided to spread the cash around. Same thing for Brandon Moore, he was just too expensive for me. Instead I could potentially land two starters across the OL (my current starters = last year's backups are that bad), an OLB (also immediately start), and my kicker from last year (I need someone, right?). Whatever I don't get will have to be addressed in the draft.

trying to get ahold of tanebeo now i sent him a message so hopefully we cant try it today and i can let you know!!
Any reason we can't advance tonight?
We wanted to give everyone a chance to make offers. We'll go through the subsequent FA weeks much more quickly.

I don't think it's a good idea to do the draft over the Thanksgiving week, so I'd like to shoot to do it maybe Monday or Tuesday of the following week. I know that's a long offseason, but I think the rest will all be shorter.

We're open to other ideas though.

I think this FA period is dragging I think we should advance past FA this weekend...

btw this upcoming season will FA be more open because of how tight some owners budgets are? just a question

not saying that this is guranteed to work but couldn't we throw out some times to see if there is a 2 hour span where every user could be online somewhere in the next five days and we just take about 15 min per stage if this is possible ? I know there is like a 1 percent chance of this being possible but I believe everyone i excited and this could be a possibility.

It wasn't like it was for no reason. Nobody wanted it to drag, trust me.

Once we reach the Week 1 deadline, I don't see any reason the next few weeks can't be done in maybe 4 or 5 hour increments.

I'd love to do that if I thought we'd be able to get everyone on at once, but like you I don't think it's too likely.
How do you check your picks?
I'm not 100% sure, but I'm guessing if you go and try to make a trade you might be able to see which pick you have.
I'm not 100% sure, but I'm guessing if you go and try to make a trade you might be able to see which pick you have.
Oh yes, duh! You're right. I was just looking at that yesterday too.

I think we should try to finish free agency tomorrow into Sunday afternoon then draft Sunday night. I understand that it isn't likely that all 32 owners will be on at once to get this done but its certainly worth it to try. With every passing day and no games I think the league loses a little bit of steam. Guys lose interest...its like the league has an expiration date, the longer we take the faster it approaches.

I'm saying this as someone who would probably miss a good portion of FA and probably the draft given the timeframe I've proposed.

I can draft Sunday night, no problem. Sunday or Monday would be ideal time-wise, IMO. (Though Monday night is never ideal for me, me-wise. Haha, hoops night!)

Though my question is, can you scout during any FA periods leading up to the draft? Or would we need to allow for a couple hours for scouting after the final FA period? That shouldn't be a huge deal, but might push things into Monday.
