Went over to one Sears and found a copy of the ad, which showed RC:UYA in the 2 for $30 section. In the electronics section, all the games except RC:UYA had the $14.99 sale price sticker over the normal $19.99 price. RC:UYA was listed as $39.99. I asked a rep to get me two copies of it (they have it "locked" in a special rack) and pick 'em up for $30. He looked over the ad and shook his head a bit, needing a manager to authorize the override for the price, since it didn't ring up at $14.99. They were marked at $15 each and I picked up two of them.
Then it was off to do some PM's, since there are four stores in the area that would do PM's, and here's how it went:
Circuit City: Would PM it down to $15, though wouldn't do it for $12.50 as their PM policy clearly states it will. Sales rep didn't understand the policy and deferred to their store manager, who told me that she'd match it, though wouldn't do the additional 10% to $12.50. Some BS that completely conflicted with their stated policy on the wall. I personally think she didn't want to take a $27.50 hit per game and was trying to cut her losses. I called the CC complaints dept. and lodged a complaint against them, since this was the only time at CC that I ever had a problem with a PM, doubly so since the store manager insinuated that every other store who did the 10% additional at time of purchase was doing it wrong.
Toys 'R Us: PM'd it down to $15/copy without a problem. Needed a manager override to allow the PM.
Best Buy: PM'd it down to $15/copy without a problem. I didn't want to deal with the whole "buy, then go to CustSvc for the additional 10% difference", since the CustSvc reps didn't seem like the brightest bulbs in the box.
WalMart: PM'd it down to $15/copy without a problem. Needed a manager override to allow the PM.
And in case someone starts complaining about hoarding, the extra copies are picked up for other CAGs, and every store I went to had plenty of copies left after I was done.
even if you picked them up for other so called people YOUR STILL A HOARDER .
Gee, if that's not the pot calling the kettle black, I sure as heck don't know what is.

Horrific English and all.
And as PMing the ad requires me to buy two copies, I'm forced to get two copies at the same time. As I hit the four places in the vicinty of a store that had them, leaving plenty of stock at each, how am I hoarding? Plus, I'm not so much of a horder, since five of them (and a sixth pending out) are already sold to other CAGs, for cost + tax + shipping.
Slidecage, if you want to chip apart my reputation, go right ahead. Get your facts straight first. You might find it a little difficult to pull that off, he who buys Xbox games and forgets that he has an Xbox. Or was that condoms and not having a penis? I forget which situation that is.
