Yes, I do understand this. That is why once CAG Mario Kart Wii Online gets going, I will look into splitting it up into an early and later time. I definitely understand some on PST don't get off work until late. That's kind of why I avoid 9pm EST during the week since I know it's very early for those out west.

I'll let everyone know the full scheduling tomorrow.

But you did win the actual races quite handily. :applause: I managed to get third overall both times, but karts just really have a hard time competing. That and I didn't snake on Delfino DS.

Good games everyone! That was damn fun. Most of the races were really close.

Next time, I'll use a kart. But, I don't know which one to use. Any recommendations? I don't want to use the Blue Falcon. ;)

I think I am friends with three of the supposed racers, but none of them are showing as online. One just keeps showing "connecting". Are all you lazy East-coasters going to bed already?

i felt like i got pretty lucky on the last tournament to win it.

i definitely think we should try this again.

Anyway, sorry, I shut it down since we were down to two people. Thanks a lot for showing up everyone, I greatly appreciate it. I look to make the next game more successful and hopefully have more than one game going on (to get everyone involved).

I'm going to try some weekend afternoon also. Haven't decided when the next game will be, but all I can say is that I won't host one tomorrow or Friday (unless very late), since I have other things going on.

EDIT: I also apologize for not playing later, but really wasn't sure about continuing when we got down to fewer players. I'll still work on getting my buddy list together so everyone gets in (along with inviting people).

Where were you lilboo? :cry:

I'm surprised at how well I did in balloon battle! The last time I played a Balloon Battle was on the N64. :lol:

I plan to get a few hosts together (although I'll be the main host), who most will friend. At least one needs to be PST, so there can be a late match.
 
Well I guess it's over now. Next time I won't accidentally put the drifts on automatic during the race...I hate how you can't change that. It probably helped me on rainbow road though :p

i've done that before. i've learned to choose my character and kart/bike very quickly so i don't get rushed when the automatic/manual choice comes up.

I agree. As there are no days that currently start with a K it has to be Monday.
 
I tried playing online earlier, and kept getting dropped right after a match would start.

Took us five tries to finally get in a game and not be disconnected.

Anyway, we won't spam up this thread later on since I'll create a new thread devoted just for Mario Kart Nights (so I can update the OP w/ time and date).

In the future, I'm looking at the following variations:

Set 1
9pm EST start
12am EST start (for people out west)


Set 2
10pm EST start
12am EST start (for people out west)

Set 3
9pm EST start
10:30pm EST start
12am EST start (for people out west)

With set 1 or 2, we can create more than one room if we need it. For set 3, we'd just create one room, but we'd continously keep Mario Kart Wii Online going.

EDIT 2: A little off topic, maybe I should create the Wii Online gaming group, like I did for PSN Gaming. I'd set it up like:

  • :wii: The Mana Knight 1345 5951 4802 8796

Then clicking the Wii logo would bring up my info such as when I'm available, all the Wii Online games I have along with friend codes, my play style, what Wii accessories I use (like classic controller, Wii Zapper, Wii Wheel, etc.).
 
I should be able to do the 9PM EST slot of Set 1 or 3 regularly on Sun, Mon, Wed or Thu. Might depend somewhat on what's on TV that night as the Wii is on my main set and I might not be able to take it over whenever I want.

I'd probably play until 10 to 10:30 EST. I try to get to bed/sleep about 11 and I find if I'm gaming (especially against people online) I need 30-60 mins to wind down before I can nod off. :lol:

I don't have a clue when I'll be free in the future because I start a new job in about two weeks; I guess I'll just see when I can fit in once I start working.

I got the game on Day 1, and was one of the first to post my friend code. That might have had an effect. :)
