Yeah I was focusing on him (Punisher) until I got more Torch covers but the fact that his black eats up your AP pool is no good.
I just wish my Punisher was 5/3/5 instead I have him 3/5/5
I forgot about Torch & his AP drain, this is why I dont care for him or IM40 too much. The AP drain from their attacks and then Torch's green uses up green per turn. No green, no damage.
I have my Punisher at 4/4/5, which isnt the build I want either but it's prettty effective. Id prefer a 4/5/4 build personally but as stated he's so verstile you custom him to how you want. He's usually a staple on my heavy hitting team, due to him being at level 120, so Ive gotten used to his playing style.
Here's my reasons for wanting a 4/5/4 build:
Black-at level 5 the countdown reduces to 2, from 3. If you can protect the countdown tile it doesnt matter. Also at 4 opponent team attack damage is already maximized. No real reason to waste putting this at level 5 for a reduction of 1 on a countdown tile.
Green- At level 5, 3 strike tiles. Extra strike tile good. Damage may be low from the initial attack and does not generate AP, but can create a small cascade. Relatively low cost too. the strike tiles placed are not directly related to any other factors, give enemies strike tiles, nor are limited. (Eg. 2* Wolverine, Patch, Psylocke, Black Panther)
Red- At level five one hit kill to enemies below 40% of their health. Level 4 has damage at maximum with kill below 30%, no real advantage for the extra 10%. Most of the times you will use this not even thinking about the enemies health anyways.
So I think you have a good Punisher build, just 1 more in black & a reduction in whichever color you feel & you're all set.
As for Leveling up your Thor, its whatever floats your boat. Level up 1 character & have him on your main team or level up multiple characters so that everyone has a fighting chance. What Ive been doing is trying to get all my 3*s up to level 100 or at least over 85, so I can distinguish them from the 2*s. As my level 120 Psylocke & Punisher have shown me, though they're higher levels, they still can get schooled by an OBW/Ares/Thor/required tournament character team.
AS for ISO, now here's a novel idea that I just came up with. How many high level 2*s do you have? Not talking Ares or OBW, not the ones youd use. How about 2* Cap or Hawkeye, even MN mags. You can get covers for those easy, sure you can respec now but why not sell them off & use their ISO to pump up the 3*s? Food for thought, as I know I get tons of Modern Hawkeye covers, sure thats 250 iso a pop per cover but how much is my level 85 worth? 12500, so roughly 50 covers at 250 each.

k *EDIT* WHoa so my Modern Hawkeye at Level 85 is worth $31 worth of ISO? That really is food for thought!
