Wiki and gaming website that those release dates came from are about as reliable as I am.

Like I said, May at the earliest.

The developer guy on the X-Box forums said that when things are finalized they will announce a RELEASE date. And as of Friday/Saturday they were still in QA. And once they are done with the QA, they still have other steps to get through.

And then add in a time frame of about 2 weeks between the release date announcement and the actual release.

I don't go with your logic because even with the delays for the CoD3 map pack, it didn't take it that long for it to come out.

Of all the glitches I have seen people post online at various forums, I think you're the one that lucked out the most. You've got the best glitch reassignment/screw up I've seen. Most people got costumes either not working/locked up again or costumes that were switched between characters, etc.

And tonight I finally got the achievement that I've seen tons of people qvech over at other sites, the 4000 kills achievement. It was kind of cool actually. I was in the middle of redoing some sim disc when all of a sudden the screen sort of exploded and there was what seemed to be a frame rate drop, but in fact it was the screen cheeing me on and saying that I had gotten the achievement. Now just to finish up the leftover sim discs so I can have Silver Surfer properly unlocked and his achievement and to try and get as many costumes as I can now so I won't have to once I do a new game+. I won't be able to get the all costume achivement because I encountered a glitch somewhere in the game where I can't unlock the fourth costume of Mr. Fantastic, even though i've beaten his stupid sim disc probably a dozen times on gold. Oh well, next play through.

I wonder if the new costumes for the new characters will modify/adjust the current achievement for all costumes.
 
Woo! No new news to report, but in other news I finally completed all of the sim discs and have officially unlocked Silver Surfer/his achivement. Go me! 755, not bad for a single play through. I'm not sure whether I'll keep playing to see if I can get Gold (Damn, some of these are very tough to gold on) or start something else while I wait for the DLC to come out. I have most of the sim discs with Gold, and am really close so I'm not sure what I'll do.

I have 80-90% off all the costumes, so as I do the sim discs I may try to finish those up as well.

By the way, does anyone know how to get gold on Wolverine's sim disc? I always come close around 27000-28000, but always miss the cut off or die/get the generators blown up before I can defeat the bad guy.

I gotta re-do the story to get all the fuckin sim discs :( I missed one..and it was the one you can't go back and get!! (really frustrating) But I will be playing this again anyway.. so yeah :)
Question- I never got my 4000 Kills achievement. Does that have to be on the SAME file, or when I do "New+" (or whatever its called) will that transfer everything over? So I can work my way on the 4000 kills there.

Also..any tips on gettin the 500 kills.. AFTER... you beat the game :(

I'm not sure about the 500 kills by throwing off the ledge, but I'm fairly certain that the 4000 kills achievement transfers over. The 4000 kills is actually pretty easy since if go through the game and play through the sim discs earning gold on even just half of them then you should get it.

To get the 500 throws off of a ledge, I did it in Mephisto's realm at one of the zones where your cordoned off and the enemies keep respawning. By that time in the game I already had 150 throws from the helicarrier and other spots in the game so it didn't really take me that long.

Yeah, I even posted that on GameFaqs, wondering if anyone had any "positve glitches" (in fact, I thought I saw you in a thread about the Marvel Zombies skins, Hiccup), but didn't really head anything too great.

Once I mentioned the Gift on GameFaqs, my save started acting screwy and I lost some costumes. I have been able to get them back easily, though.

I got the enemies over the ledge achievements after the end of the game while doing either Iceman or Ghost Rider's sim in Mephisto's Realm. I was just throwing them because of how many swarm you at once, and that was the easiest way to clear them out.

I'm not sure, as I only have the "updated" version. I know other games wouldn't let me play unless I updated, so I imagine MUA is the same.

Or, you could just disconnect the cable or wireless adpater and play offline...

The update has been taken down for the moment, so you should be safe from it damaging or messing up your saves.
 
I need this update NOW! The game has been calling me to play it, but I won't because of my corrupted save files. :cry:

Hopefully the update will be out by the end of the month.

Well I can't get the last costume for Mr. Fantastic - a character I dislike to play as it is - and it's beginning to piss me off because that's the only thing I'm missing. Otherwise I have pretty much all the costumes and just finished up getting Nick Fury's.

ok, how exactely do you get every characters costume? i just completed my first run through and plan to give it a go in another couple weeks. how do you get them all?

The fourth costume (for those that have them) is achieved by getting at least Bronze in their simulator missions. The other two are achieved getting x amount of kills with those characters. You have to be playing as those characters, not just have them in your party.
 
God, this 4000 kills is really taking forever :(

BTW, if I'm playing say.. Asgard simulation. I can get a few hundred kills on there...do I HAVE to go and beat the boss for all them kills to count? Because even when you die or the timer goes to 0..it still gives you a score based on how many people you killed..
 
Hey, if anyone has a save..and they have all the sim discs..can you friend request me? I wanna save the game so I can play through all the discs. I missed the one you can't go back and get.
They don't have to be done or anything. I just want to have them all so I can play through them all :) (Plus work on all their costumes..etc)

The process should take a mere 5 minutes.
BTW, would this automatically unlock Silver Surfer? Or do I have to complete them all? I forget how you get Silver Surfer..or is there an achievement for collecting all the sim discs?

Anyway, c'mon? :)

You have to beat them in order to unlock the SS. I'd help you out, but I started a new game and didn't know that the sim discs didn't carry over. Just waiting for the DLC to come out so I can start playing this again.
 
This wait for the DLC is really getting annoying. I want to do my hard playthrough with the new characters, HULK SMASH! and hopefully get my arcade multiplayer achievements. And keep working on the stupid throw 500 enemies off a ledge achievement. I find that one much harder to get than the 4000 kill one. I got that one my first playthrough. Then again on my first playthrough I unlocked all the costumes and characters and got all the cooperative multiplayer achievments. So I might not be normal.

Hey, send me a friend request and hopefully I'll be on sometime in the next few days if I'm not busy. I'd send you my save file because I heard that is the only way for me to still be able to get Mr. Fantastic's costume unlocked is by having a friend/somebody save my file onto their machine and then delete my save and have me get my save again from them. From what I've been told that should reset the glitch. It's either that or wait for the DLC to show up and start a new game+.

Half right. You don't necessarily have to beat them in order, but you need to beat all of them and also have beaten/gotten past Galactus in the game. I did mine out of order/who ever I felt like doing and I unlocked him/the achievement.

Out of curiosity, which secret achievements did you get? Only three or 4 of yours aren't showing up for me.

Yaeh, I just read over at GameFAQS and at xbox forums that Activision set up two myspaces for Spider-man 3 & M:UA (why I don't know) and they posted saying that the DLC should be out sometime this week. Hopefully it is indeed out because Friday/Sat I'm super busy and I would only be able to get some time in Tues/Wed (if that) of this week.

Cool. I think the way I was told it goes from a couple people and my local GC is that you host a match or something like that and then save my file. Afterward, I delete my file and then host a match and save my file again and the glitch should be fixed. now I'm not 100% on this and that's why it's kind of scaring me because I don't want to lose the Hard mode I just unlocked nor any of the costumes or items I have.

The glitch I'm experiencing is that I have 3 of the 4 Mr. Fantastic costumes and have beaten his sim disc and gotten gold multiple times, but it didn't register and now it won't unlock his fourth costume. The above was one solution I was told of, while the other is just to start a new game+ and once I get his sim disc to do his mission immediately and it should just open up.

I'm not sure whether the save file's glitch would affect or be in affect on your 360. Maybe someone in this thread might know.

I've also read about this glitch happening with Spider-man's fourth suit.

I've had this happen on the Iron SPider suit, as well.

This makes me wonder: could one host a match locally (Like in co-op or arcade), and have, say, my wife's silver account save the files, instead of doing it over Live?

I'm nearly there for dressed for success, but alas my problems with Mr. Fantastic :bomb::bomb::bomb::bomb:

Anyway, any recommendations on how to get gold on the comic missions. I have most, but I get stuck on some like Wolverine's where I get close at 27,000, but just can't beat it in time without the generators being destroyed.

I hope that the Hulk has a rage meter, because otherwise he seems like a carbon copy of Colossus and hated playing as Colossus to unlock his other costumes.

It's called Doppleganger and it says "Dr Doom speaks with himself" LOL
 
This shit is taking forever. I want to start playing this already. When I buy the pack would I have to start over or would the characters simply be in that hero pool so I can just select them?

How does the save system work for online games? Is it like crackdown in which the story progress is only saved for the host? Does the online game depend on the host, like only the characters and costumes the host has unlocked are playable?
 
I just had to post this here since I had a tough time getting all of elektra's costumes and through her sim disk:

Still, I actually kind of enjoyed playing as Elektra in the game, though I would never make her a permanent fixture of any team I had.

And yaeh I heard about this earlier today. Going to go and grab it in a bit. I hope it fixes my Mr. Fantastic glitch, otherwise new game+ here I come.
 
I bought X-Men Legends II (Used, Activision) instead of this shit.

Hadn't finished it before, so I'll be doing that instead.
