Got my Amazon.com tracking number for delivery tomorrow for the PS3 version. Estimated date was February 18, 2011, but now it says February 15, 2011. It's shipping from Delaware. Wohooo!

The Xbox 360 versionS are still saying " These items are being prepared for shipment, and this portion of your order cannot be canceled or changed.". Feel like this game sold much more on 360 than PS3.

Hoping I receive everything tomorrow. :) :) :) :) :)

I doubt anyone will know the answer to this, but does the Special Edition come with plastic around the slipcover?

I know in the IGN unboxing video there was plastic around the steelbook/comic book, but it didn't show anything around the slip. The Youtube unboxing videos are even worse, and all the one's I've seen have shown everything already unwrapped.

I'm deciding if I want to try to track down a copy tonight to ensure minty freshness, as I'm sure the one from Amazon is going to come fucked up.

Also, does anyone know if Best Buy is doing a midnight release? I looked on their site, but only saw stuff about them having demo kiosks

My sodium level was a little high when I posted this (although me and the dude split the set of 8) but I stand by it still. It's such a DRAMATIC game changer. It's still early though.

For Phoenix teams - would be performing a snapback to get her in and taking her out ASAP before she gets 5 bars be a legit strategy? Just wondering since in the matches I've watch, I haven't seen hardly any snaps.
 
I've seen zero people use Dante's teleport. Is it really slow or something? I figure that it would be a good tool to use against projectile spam.

Dante has alot of moves, most people just spam his fastest combos towards a DHC and trap ya, snap back rinse, repeat. At least that's what I've been encountering online.
 
sure, been wanting to expirement with other characters online.

Been using a team of Morrigan, felicia and She-hulk and it hasnt done me wrong yet.
 
I suck at fighting games anyway, but would I be safe in assuming the Madcatz Street Fighter IV six button pads work well with this game? Does it even really make a difference since the controls are less complex than your average Capcom fighter?

2 Comic panels with text for each character, very dissapointing, but they're funny at least. they feature alot of cameos of other Marvel and Capcom characters like Megaman Zero, Ghost Rider, Doctor Strange and Pheonix Wright.
 
You guys mind if I throw a bunch of you a friend request? For the next week or so, I'll probably just be playing it with one of my buddies, but if he's not on/i'm bored we can all get a lobby going or whatnot.

I just seemingly don't play fighting games nearly as much as you guys do, heh, so I figure I'm at a bit of a disadvantage.

It's better than a regular Xbox 360 controller. The Madcatz SE stick would be a little better, and a TE stick would be best.

It fits the game well, however trying to execute X-factor on a pad is just going to get you killed.

TE Sticks all the way.

However the sound of this fightpad seems really awesome, kinda reminds me of the NEO-Geo pad for the PS3

Wouldnt mind the invite Pand, the more people that I can play this game with the better.

The D-Pad looks different but I have a SSF4 one and I love it. Of course a stick is always going to be better but it's beats using that hideous 360 D-Pad. Not only for fighters but I use it for other games like Pac-Man,.

I had two Hori sticks and both of them broke on me so I'm done buying them.
 
Dang, I thought you meant PDP had done a SSF4 pad. Yeah, the Madcatz Pads are okay, but the PDP design looks like it'll control even better. The Capcom pads like your Guile one have much nicer artwork, though.

Sounds good.

The tips of my fingers are literally in pain from practicing Chun and Iron Man combos and just generally playing all day. I am working on more advanced versions of the combo featured at the end of this video (Chun's Mission 10)

Man, the CE Im getting from amazon seems scarce, anyone think it might be better to just buy a regular and sell te CE later? Will the value go up a lot?

It may be worth something the first month since it has the 2 dlc characters that dont go on sale to everyone until mid March.

It's just the codes. They won't be available til march like everyone else.
 
What is your Button Setup for a Stick on this game? It took me 5 minutes to setup something and it still feels a bit off to me.

My current setup:
L M H (A1+2)
S A1 A2 (L+M+H)

Maybe this would be better:
L M A1 (A1+2)
H S A2 (L+M+H)

Played roughly 2 hours, did 23% of the Missions, and got all 4 characters unlocked. Sometimes stuff just happens in this game.
