Mass Effect 2 Discussion - Fight for the Lost
Here's a complete listing of DLC for the game - Link. There have been two $7 mission packs released outside of the Cerberus Network stuff that came free with the game (if new).
Thanks. So right at about $20, not including the Shadow Broker DLC
Regardless, if ME2 ends up being a graphical upgrade or some other compelling reason to pick it up on PS3, I'll probably do that. Otherwise, I might pass on it.
That's what I'm thinking too-- if there's any significant improvements to the engine or UI or whatever, it's going to be tough to resist the temptation to buy a PS3. Even if the game is exactly the same, part of me wants to play it on PS3 just to double up on my nerd points.
Yes, you can.

I imported a Level 50 ME1 character into ME2 and was 120 XP short of Level 30 before the Overlord DLC came out. Once I did Overlord, I hit Level 30. I had done all the side missions possible in the main game, plus all of the DLC, free and paid, before Overlord.

Level 60 ME1 import with all the DLC will get you Level 30 in ME2 without much issue.
Ah, I had a really low level in ME1 (I mean REALLY low) so I started ME2 low, can't remember what exactly though. thanks

If I recall correctly you only get level bonuses in ME2 if you import a level 50 and above or level 60 character. Otherwise you just import decisions etc. but not extra levels at the start.

Sounds like I'll have one pissed Liara to deal with.
Same since I did Jack, Miranda, and Tali--still involved with Tali--in my imported play through.

I went with Tali first then Miranda. Both a Liara imported play-through. I need to give my Ashley import a run-through too to have all options for ME3.

But you guys can't blame me right? Liara was just so cold and distant. She wasn't the woman I fell in love with!

I personally thought we'd have to wait until ME3 before witnessing Liara/Ashley/Kaiden's reaction to a new lover. At least we get a sneak peek with this DLC. Should be interesting.

I have an imported female Soldier who stayed faithful to Liara so I'm all set for this.

I apparently can't view the screenshots on Bioware's site here at work, so I badly need Joystiq or Destructoid or somebody to report these... Dying to see the new pics.

Check my original post from today, I updated it with pics.

Thanks! Love that sky, and the enemy designs look great. I'm glad it won't just be more mechs and Blue Suns or whatever.

Hmm, Shepard + Garrus + Liara = squad. What a tease. :)

Dear BioWare:

PLEASE let there be unique dialog between Garrus/Liara/Tali if any combination of them are present in the squad together. Show me that Liara can at least remember back to the Normandy SR-1 and that our experience on the ship was not just lost over time.

Love,
Every ME1 fan ever

The pics look great, so as this is a 800 MSP DLC, I'm guessing it should be 3-4 hours in length, if Overlord was 2 hours or so at 560 points. Five new achievements will be nice as well.

My male Paragon Vanguard didn't remain faithful to Liara (ended up with Tali), though when I get through my ME1 female Renegade Adept playthrough who will be going after Liara in that one. I'll keep her faithful to Liara going through ME2, it'll be interesting to see how that comes out differently.

I wonder if you have a male Shepherd who ends up with Tali instead of Jack or Miranda, if that'll generate different responses. I'd expect something with Miranda mainly because she and Liara had dealings in the comics that fill in between ME1 and ME2. None of the love interest options for a female ME2 character were in ME1, so that might not give up any "different" responses.

It would be nice to get DLC for both Ashley and Wrex since you see both of them in the game as well. The more DLC, the better. However, I've been waiting up until this point to touch any of the DLC, so I hope to get a good 5-10 hours out of all of it.

Except for Garrus of course.
Except for Garrus of course.
Duh. Forgot about that. :dunce:

So, yes, there should be a different response for Garrus if there would be one for Tali.

2 weeks? great news! I hope being done with the game doesn't detract from the experience though, I just finished ME2 for the first time over the weekend but a buddy of mine finished it right away after release. I told him Kasumi was the squadmate I used most and he couldn't even remember her since her DLC came out after he finshed the core game.

I wonder what the Shadow Broker Intel will be about. I'm guessing it can't be too deep, since many of us will be playing this DLC post endgame. Between that, new research and achievements it's good to see they aren't just dumping cutting room floor stuff on us for extra spacebucks. Hopefully these will be some deep missions and achievements here, all the previous DLC was skimpy on cheevos and meaning (outside of Kasumi).

Count me down as another unfaithful Shepard. My canon Shepard got with Miranda. I'll have to bring her on the mission. Awkward!!

If the Liara voice files that were mined from the PC version is any indication (spoilers for those who haven't heard)
It'll be revealed why the Collector's were after Shep specifically. Hint: They didn't care about Saren.
Of course, it's based off of stuff mined, and may not be final version/canon.
Over/under at 0.5% chance of being able to be with Liara and Kelly? :)
Keep up talk like that and we'll have the beginning of ME3 look like a Jerry Springer episode with all of the possible relationship permutations.

Lol. I can just imagine the episode headline. "I had sex with 8 women from 3 different races!"
On the side, I would never think that the Shadow Broker DLC would be here so soon. With all of the retail games/dlc releasing next month I'll go broke at month's end.

BioWare is asking for suggestions for future appearance packs.

Apparently they are only "considering" another pack. I would think that more of these would be easy money for them and a no-brainer. Maybe the first one didn't sell too well. Or maybe they just want to make it look like the fans' opinions carry more weight.

I'm hoping they could bring back the Colossus Armor for Shepard and the rest of the squad. That was my favorite one from ME1.

I'm hoping they'll bring back having choices of armor for ME3. I liked tricking out my team. Femshep, Tali, and Ashley all in Colossus Armor looked pretty cool.

I'd like it if they released the CE Collector armor as part of a DLC pack.

Definitely won't happen man!!! People would be screaming all over that they bought the code for $50, and then they release it for $5. It's called collector armor for a reason (even though I got mine off of marketplace for free when they accidentally put it up there). People were already pissed when they released the inferno armor.

I would love to see some DLC with Wrex, but considering the fact that not everyone has him in their game, I doubt anything will be released concerning him. Same goes for Ashley and Kaidan unless they do something that just has one replace the other according to your personal game.

Yeah, I have neither in my game, so I'd be SOL. I'd love to see some Garrus-centric DLC, as he's my favorite character. IDK why, but i get an Obi-Wan vibe from him. Odd.

As you say, they've already done it with the Inferno Armor. IMO it's just a matter of time before all of the preorder and CE bonuses are available to buy. I would have waited and paid less for the Inferno Armor had I known (didn't preorder and had to pick up a code later on eBay), but them's the breaks.
I'd like to see Anderson get off the bench and started playing ball again... in a DLC.
Judging from his role in the latest book, you may get your wish in the ME3. Probably not in any DLC, though.

Also, September 7th has turned into a big day for BioWare DLC.
I'd like to see Anderson get off the bench and started playing ball again... in a DLC.
Then purchase/read Mass Effect: Retribution and you'll get a possible hint at Anderson's future in ME3
Also, September 7th has turned into a big day for BioWare DLC.
They must know that a lot of their customers play both Dragon Age and Mass Effect-- seems like they are competing against themselves by releasing two major DLCs on the same day.

Between these two, Borderlands DLC, and Gears 2 25x bonus XP, September is going to be a busy month.

Just to get the hype train going a little more, here's a post from Michael Gamble (associate producer of ME2) over at the BioWare boards.

This is our biggest DLC yet, period.

It also marks the real beginning where we expand the ME2 story in preparation for ME3.

As time gets closer to release, we'll have coverage on more of the awesome things you can expect out of LotSB

I think I am personally going to go for the "save the best for last" plan with regards to which DLC I'll be playing first (Witch Hunt vs. Lair of the Shadowbroker), so that means Liara has to wait just a little bit.

I actually never thought that something could make me postpone new ME2 DLC, but BioWare is really swinging for the fences on September 7th.

I'm wondering if this is a "bridge" type DLC with migrating things between ME2 and ME3, if we'll be getting more of them moving into next year.

I hope so.

I am about halfway through Retribution. I'm liking the story more than the other two I think.

I did read... I just want it now. :D
Hah, so do I.
From the events in Retribution, I'm willing to bet Anderson is going to play a fairly significant role in the next game. Him being a squadmate is pushing it, but there's no doubt he's going to be involved in some action. Same with Kahlee Sanders, as well. I'm hoping we finally get to see her in Mass Effect 3.
