Mass Effect 3 Discussion Thread
Yeah, good times as usual with the CAG crew. After everyone else logged off, I played a couple games with randoms and unlocked the N7 Fury (adept). This wasn't one I was after, per se, but holy crap, what a great new class! Every power is tremendously useful and I can't wait to level up the dark channel. Nothing like detonating my own BE's.
I encourage you to be brave with Annihilation Field, despite her low health and shields. It makes you a walking Biotic Explosion. Just get in range, throw, and enjoy the fireworks. Also, her teleport dodge/heavy melee ignores walls and altitude; that's how I kept level jumping on Hydra. She's WAY more fun than I anticipated.

Gah been working and played like 4 hours of the Guild Wars 2 Beta so I haven't played much ME3 this weekend.

I just got back watching Batman and I was thinking at the end, man I hope everyone in here have or will play ME3! (Spoiler about Dark Knight Rises below)
The notion of Batman sacrificing himself for the city and Shepard sacrificing himself for the galaxy was what made me come to that conclusion. Oh and that movie was just as epic as ME3's campaign I think again supported by the music, with both mediums.
Oh btw Mass Effect's Facebook page posted this:
Harbringer: If I must tear you apart, Shepard, I will.

Lol you sure that wasn't Bane? :p

Man, the Piranha and Acolyte keep humping my leg. I've gotten both in my last 5 Prem. Spectre Packs. Hopefully, once they're X'd out, I'll get some Ultra Rares (come on Typhoon!).

Also, Spybreaker, your friends list is full

Dude, I didn't get a single new character until I X'd those things out. Thankfully they're both actually pretty good. Hope you get that 'Phoon soon.

Thanks, man. Hit me up for some games when you get the time. Got the N7 Destroyer and have a new found love with the Harrier.

Spy, I also just saw TDKR and your comparison is an interesting one. Did you ever consider
that Bruce Wayne was indoctrinated the whole time?

:D

Ha, I just saw the movie too.
If Bruce Wayne was indoctrinated it was right after Bane broke his back.

Oh good lord. That was equally hilarious and groan worthy.

Great movie though. Much better than I anticipated.

I will do that thanks for the tip, Ian. I started tinkering with that a little and could tell there was some awesome potential there.

Haha yeah
He does see visions that aren't there (when he's being scolded by his League of Shadows Master (Liam Neeson).
I brought up my comparison link in another forum and was told I'm obsessed. :booty:

Also wtf, I do not have a pack in my store, no flashing new on UI, and I DID gold!
For sure, man. I usually run Kroguard myself, so I tried targeting some Dark Channels for you. Pretty awesome combo.

Nice games, fellas. Still getting the hang of these new characters; they're all pretty cool though. Shadow, Fury, and Demolisher are a blast. Slayer's a lot of fun, but he goes down real fast. Actually, I think Paladin is about the only one I'm not loving so far. Bet he'll be solid on a good team; I've only tried with randoms so far.

Got a bunch of Platinums under my belt today. Giant, Vancouver, Glacier, and of course White. It's harder to find a match without missile glitchers than it is to actually beat it.
Dude, Dark Channel is soooo OP in my opinion but not unbalanced, between you channeling and me biotic slamming, we were taking down Silver Primes in like 3 hits. I can see them with a quick detonating class like the Asari adept, justicar, or Drell making it an insane combo. i wonder how pull and biotic sphere wold do with them running around together blowing up everything in the warp bubble.

I leveled my Fish Stick and Acolyte to X fast as i also got humped for like 15 packs straight too. three more yesterday and today and still waiting for the other 3 class unlocks. The Kai leng knock off is fun to play with biotic slam then his hand cannon three times, then slam again... but compared to the Psycho Fury.. man that chick is a detonation machine. I really wanna get ahold of the Destroyer and the Paladin, but its hard not to roll with a 1850 health 1850 Shield Krogan death machine that can regen shields to 100% every 4 seconds. After playing him a bunch he made my Krogan Sentinel seem like a bitch.

I dunno, being the ME junkie I am, i never get tired of the MP, i like trying and replaying different classes and pairing them with other weapon class combos and trying out of the norm things. I would love to see an all biotic detonation team once run through some stuff as well as a Krogan Death Squad.

As far as batman goes, im going to see it on Wednesday on my day off but have heard good things. Off to bed, i'll be on tomorrow around 8:30PM CSt if anyone wants to kill stuff.

Yea, I've pretty much resigned myself to getting my Piranha and Acolyte to X before I'll ever get anything else. And hey, almost there. Both humped my leg for another 2-3 packs and they're both at IX now. Thankfully, I also got the Demolisher in the last pack which means...grenade spam time.

Not that I want to drag people away from MP dialogue, though I picked up my Sheploo Paragon Vanguard playthrough last night to start finishing it up and was a bit surprised by the difference in the LI scene between that one and from my FemShep.

My FemShep has Liara as her LI and the scene with those two was two steps from cable porn and my Sheploo has Tali as his LI with that scene being five seconds and was quite G-rated.

I'm assuming it's because it's Tali that there wasn't much of a scene there? I saw the picture of Tali in-game finally and I can see why everyone has such a stink over it.

I didn't think the scene between my manshep and Liara was all that steamy. Pg-13 at worst.

But I have to say Shrike.....how can you steal Garrus' girl? Bro's before ho's, man.
I didn't think the scene between my manshep and Liara was all that steamy. Pg-13 at worst.
It was in a different league compared to any other love scene in the game though. I mean, this is a game with a romantic shower scene in which your character remains fully clothed. Anything looks steamy compared to that.
Lol right at least it wasn't as bad as Dragon Age, let's do it with our underwear on. Ohhhhhh
The best was that for Morrigan, the "underwear" actually covered more skin than her standard costume. So in order to get it on, she took off her normal outfit and then changed into something less revealing.

She did end up with Garrus for my femShep playthrough, so it's all good. :D

Guess she had to be a bit more modest when give the chance to do the deed? :whistle2:s
So apparently at the BioWare Comic-Con panel, they dropped some hints about an Omega/Aria T'Loak themed DLC being next in line after Leviathan, as many people have suspected.

They also showed this pic, which seems to show an Atlas mech underwater:

There's a much clearer shot of this same picture here.

Look carefully at the cockpit. It looks like Shepard's in there.

Sorry, just wanted to point that out. Not that I don't think it'd make a really great and creative MP map :D

Also, a little deeper...is the Atlas mech named after Atlas? Haha, nice coincidence.

Btw, I must ask: Has the game crashed for anyone else? Like a LOT?

Because just now, the damn thing crashed again. And this has been at least the 5th time. Is it just me or is the game/DLC really buggy?

I would say that my freezes increased quite noticeably after Earth dropped. Certainly had a few before, but I'd say I'm close to ten since last Tuesday.

Ok, good. Glad to know it's not just me. I have the 2nd generation 360 (when the problem was "supposedly" fixed), so I was worried I was going to have to replace it with the Slim.

Really wish BioWare would beta test these DLCs. Too many bugs have gotten through their QA. Then again, they did sell out to EA so that might be why.

Put a Claymore X with Shredder/Choke mods on my Demolisher to make her live up to her name further. She's one of the few builds that I've totally ignored fitness on, so it's nice to be able to pop up, hit someone for a shit ton of damage, and get back down with minimal exposure. I'm normally not wild about camping classes, but she's a pretty good time.

Pretty sure the Krysae's dead now. Not looking forward to getting stomped on Gold and Platinum. Apparently the Cobras actually fire as soon as you pull the trigger now, which is quite welcome as far as I'm concerned.

I'm not on Twitter much, but some out these ME3Rejects posts are priceless. I liked this one:

A protest on the Citadel becomes a full-blown rebellion. The people want toilets, and they want them now. Grunt's allergies are playing up. -- Mass Reject (@ME3rejects)

Seriously. Saving time > extraction. Dying after finishing the objective on Wave 10, saves a good 3-10 minutes (depends). A fairly skilled team can finish Gold in a good 20 minutes or less. Why would I want to extract which just costs me time (which is IRL money) and has no incentive?

Is it just me or does BioWare not understand MP at all? If they don't GET it, they could just ask DICE how to balance. At least they have some experience, rather than "pretending" to have any.

Getting stomped on gold and platinum is the worst shit ever. Like, "I kinda don't want to play this anymore." bad. Apparently Atlas mechs have a ground stomp? That's news to me.

Got the Harrier, anyway. Stoked to try swapping my Saber out for it on a few characters.

Just saying, there's no good reason to stick it out. If you want to, great. Go for it. For others, there's less reason to spend extra time.

i've died to Atlas stomps...though i think if they just walk over you, you dead. kinda makes sense but there doesnt seem to be an animation for a XXX - ton mecha walking over your fragile under armored body.

ah saber...the other s-word.

is there a mod that lets you zoom faster?
Mass Effect movie script is written

It's based on the first game. Shepard is male. Apparently those are the only details that are known!
For me....two of the most important boxes checked. ME1 would lend itself very well to a big budget Hollywood caliber film. Having this turn out decent will require the infinite power of the Enkindlers, the Goddesses, Andastre, and who knows what else. Game-movies don't have a great track record.

Here's a thought.....what if Shepard only plays a bit part and its really about a young mans journey to find himself, in a galaxy where human kind d is just barely coming into its own. That man? Conrad Verner. God, please no.

It's pretty rare, but mostly because they are so damn slow.

I'd love to see Brandon Keener, Liz Sroka, et al. lend their voices to the movie for any characters who would likely be CGI or have concealed faces anyway. Tricia Helfer and Seth Green could actually play their characters wholesale.
