The guy at my Gamecrazy didn't know anything about the clearance (or this site) and the Wavebird did ring full price. He said the system showed two different wavebirds, one for 2.99 and one for 29.99. He tried to explain the 2.99 was the wired one :( Any idea on what's up with that?

I'm guessing the ones that are $2.99 are the older gray models, as opposed to the current platinum models that have a metallic finish. I bet finding a gray one is really low percentage at this point.

Dragon quest controller rang up at 34.99 still but I did find some GB micro faceplates and a screen protector at the list prices. The store has quite a bit of foot traffic so it was pretty picked clean of older things. Thanks, OP!

A PS2 airflow would be cool. (my hands get sweaty) And would be cool if a Xb1 Ddr pad is marked down. I have a Ddr game that lots of people ask about but no one seems to want since I don't have the pad for it.

I'm north of San Fran actually. I plan on hitting one of the farther GC's from me though so I'll keep my eyes open for more faceplates. The two packs I picked up kind of suck though, hoping for a better selection. I'll drop you a PM tomorrow
 
Too bad almost all GCs suck at least the ones "near" me. One is 6 miles away in a bad area and the other is in another crappy area 20miles away. Neither of them have anything. Reminds me that I have 20% off used games coupons, 5 of them. Don't know what to do with them...

hey scorch did you get the operational manual update that came with the same price update saying that you can't discuss anything that is in our POS? Remember the black 360 I almost lost my job because of that.
 
If we are talking price drops (which drives people in the stores) than discussing the POS should not be a problem. On a safe side I try not to disclose which GC I work at....and as I've noticed, I don't believe Scorch has told anything beyond the fact that he works at one also.
 
Plenty of good stuff to be had...unfortunately, my only local Gamecrazy is staffed by liars and thieves. I've never walked out with a deal if an item (game, guide etc) scans lower than the clerk thinks it should be. I can only get the deal at a steep upshoot in price if I buy the overrated MVP card (only junk used stuff there anyway).

Props to everyone else who has luck. I have to stick with EB/GS, BB and CC.

Since these are merely price drops, the GSR's won't say anything about "ongoing deals." Also most likely prices won't be marked since many of the GSR's are super lazy and won't bother to change the prices on the racks. You will have to make them scan the item or have them looks it up in the POS.

Anyway props to Scorch for throwing all this info up. I'd love to find a ZBoard myself, but I don't think any of the GC's in my area carry PC stuff, I'll call around though to make sure.

SWEET, the guy apparently wasn't lying (or had a change of heart), scored 2 Onimusha 3 Katanas for $2.99 each. I'm debating going out in search of a 3rd one I had seen, but I can't remember for sure which store it was. Probably not worth my time or gas to try.

It looks like some stores prices didn't update right away for some reason. I went back to my local store today and the dragon quest controller that rang up 34.99 yesterday rang up 29.99 today. Odd?

I checked my local GC and they had wavebirds, broadband adapters and two used gameboy players, but none of them were marked down. The guy scanned a wavebird for me anyway, but it rang up full price. I'm out of town, so won't be able to try again until monday. Hopefully they won't have marked anything down before then!

Also, I'd like to add that there are two Yuna FF action figures. The FF Arts (or whatever it's called) Yuna, from FFX, is full price. The FFX-2 Yuna is $3.

Went out and hit a bunch of stores yesterday. Didn't think I'd find much, but managed to find some good deals. Ended up w/ some penny guides, 2x Gamecube backpacks for $9.99/each and 2x Gamecube batteries for $2.99/each, one of each of the GBA e-Reader packs for $0.99/each, a sweet XBox backpack carrying case for $2.99(!), and a 3rd Onimusha 3 Katana for $2.99. Thanks again OP, you 'da man.

These are the very first wireless Logitech contollers IIRC.

For $3 they're worth it. But the D-pad is garbage. Forget about playing any fighting game on them.

I picked 2 of these up the other night. They were WAY up the PS2 wall and dusty as hell. I asked for a PC on one of them, and the clerk and manager were surprised when they rang up @ $3.

The manager asked me how I knew thy were so cheap, and I told him a 'friend' works at a GC, and 'he' told me of some LARGE markdown sheet. The manager said he didn't look thru it yet and gave a PO'ed look. Next time READ what you get and you can get the stuff before customers...:roll:
 
I've been looking around for a PS2 network adapter for months.
They are all long gone around here. They keep telling me to buy
a new slimline PS2 cuz it's built-in...

Wow. I managed to get a GB Player ($24.99) and e-Reader w/ DK Jr. ($2.99) on my last run. And as one of those completely random deals I found a mint complete copy of Dragon Warrior Monsters 2 Tara's Adventure for GB Color. Picked it up as Classic Plastic w/ 2 other games for $9.99. :cool:

And did anybody mention yet that the USED original WaveBirds are still $19.99? Only NEW originals are $1.99 (or $2.99, whichever it was). One of the employees explained this to me. That probably explains why nobody is finding them, they may be opening any new ones they have and packing them as used w/ a different UPC.
 
The Gamecube Pelican Wireless controller I bought, then returned later rang up as $19.99. I did however get the Hori Gamecube Game Boy Digital Controller for $4.99.
 
anyone know how much the DQ 8 controllers are for PS2? I still see them marked as 29.99 havn't tried checking...

yea i have been looking for months too... my original one broke...
 
None of the Game Crazy stores have the prices marked down yet. Had them scan some stuff and made sure it was new but it was still the old price. :( It looks like I'll have to go back later and have them check again.
