Almost every Post Office I have been to has a stamp vending machine that is open 24 hours a day, or I think Staples sells them

That's strange, at the ones in my area, there is a lobby where the P.O. Boxes are and that's where the machine is. The area where the clerks would be with the registers is closed and locked up.

By participating in the Game in the United States, Guam, Saipan and American Samoa, each participant, and his or her parent or legal guardian if the participant is a minor, unconditionally accepts and agrees to comply with and abide by these Official Rules and the decisions of McDonald's USA, LLC ("Sponsor"), which shall be final and binding with respect to all aspects of the Game in the United States, Guam, Saipan and American Samoa.

2. WHO IS ELIGIBLE TO PLAY. The Game is open only to legal residents of the Territory, but the Online Game is open only to those residents of the United States, Guam, Saipan and American Samoa who are 13 years of age or older. Persons in any of the following categories are NOT eligible to participate or win prizes in the Game: (a) any person who on or after May 1, 2006, was or is a director, officer, employee, agent or franchise owner of Sponsor, McDonald's Restaurants of Canada Limited, Best Buy Stores, L.P., BestBuy.com, LLC, Best Buy Canada Ltd., Hasbro®, Inc., or any of their respective divisions, parents, subsidiaries, affiliated companies, franchisees, employees, service agencies or independent contractors; (b) individuals who are engaged in the development, production or distribution of materials or supply prizes for the Game; and (c) persons who are immediate family members (defined as spouse, IRS dependent, or step- or biological mother, father, sister, brother, daughter or son) of, or who reside in the same household as, any person in any of the preceding categories. The transfer of Game materials by an ineligible person to an eligible person is strictly prohibited.

3. HOW TO OBTAIN A GAME BOARD AND GAME PIECE. Obtain an Official Game Board ("Game Board"), while supplies last, at: (a) any participating McDonald's restaurant; (b) any participating Best Buy™ retail store in the United States; (c) online at www.mcdonalds.com; and/or (d) online at www.bestbuy.com. Official MONOPOLY® Game Pieces (each, a "Game Piece") and Best Buy Chance Pieces (each, a "Chance Piece") can be obtained as follows, while distribution supplies last:
  1. In Restaurant. Get a Game Piece (consisting of two MONOPOLY® Game Stamps [each a "Game Stamp"]) and/or a Chance Piece (consisting of two MONOPOLY® Game Stamps plus one Chance Piece) by visiting a participating McDonald's restaurant and purchasing one of the specially marked food items. One (1) Game Piece is attached to specially marked Large French Fry Cartons, Medium and Large Drink Cups, Hash Brown Bags and, in select markets, Southern Style Chicken Sandwich Boxes. One (1) Chance Piece is attached to specially marked Crispy Premium Chicken Sandwich Boxes, Grilled Premium Chicken Sandwich Boxes, 3-piece Chicken Selects® Boxes, and 5-piece Chicken Selects® Boxes at participating restaurants in the United States. Chance Pieces are not available in Canada, Guam, Saipan or American Samoa or at McDonald's restaurants located in a Wal-Mart® retail store. As the Game progresses, some participating McDonald's restaurants may run out of Game Pieces and/or Chance Pieces before others. Similarly, some forms of specially marked packaging may run out before others.
  2. Without Purchase. To request a Game Piece without making a purchase at McDonald's, persons in the United States, Guam, Saipan and American Samoa may mail a Self-Addressed, Stamped Envelope (SASE) with sufficient postage and their return address (name, street address, city, state, country, and zip code) legibly printed thereon to: MONOPOLY® 2006 Game at McDonald's, Game Piece Request, P.O. Box 49434, Strongsville, OH 44149. Vermont residents with a return address located in Vermont may omit return postage. DO NOT SEND POTENTIAL WINNING GAME STAMPS, COMMENTS OR QUESTIONS TO THIS ADDRESS. Each request must be mailed in a separate outer envelope. Requests that are sent in business reply envelopes, that are photocopied, mechanically reproduced or not mailed in separate outer envelopes will NOT be honored. The return address and SASE mailing address must be the same address or the request will NOT be honored. One (1) Game Piece and one (1) Chance Piece will be mailed in response to each request, while supplies last. Mail-in requests must be postmarked no later than October 30, 2006, and received no later than November 6, 2006. If the Game runs long in restaurants, these dates are subject to a corresponding extension.
4. HOW TO PLAY. To play the Game, obtain a Game Piece, and carefully peel each Game Stamp from its backing or from the specially marked packaging to which it is affixed to determine if it is a winner.
  1. Instant Win. If a Game Stamp indicates that the participant has won a prize identified in these Official Rules, then the participant is the potential winner of that prize, subject to verification of the Game Stamp (the "Instant Win Game Stamp") and the participant's compliance with these Official Rules. A participant can also use an Instant Win Game Stamp to play the Online Game by using the unique alpha-numeric Code (each a "Code") printed on the Game Stamp. The Code offers another opportunity to play the Game and makes it possible for a participant to win two (2) prizes using the SAME Instant Win Game Stamp: the prize revealed by the Instant Win Game Stamp; and an online prize. If this occurs, the potential winner must submit the required redemption documents and otherwise comply with these Official Rules for both prizes. See Rule 6 "HOW TO REDEEM."
  2. Collect & Win. If the Game Stamp reveals the name of a MONOPOLY® property that corresponds to a property name on the Game Board (each a "Collect & Win Game Stamp"), participants must match the property name and number identified on the Collect & Win Game Stamp with the corresponding property name and number shown on the Game Board. The combination of Collect & Win Game Stamps that must be collected in order to form a Winning Combination (each a "Winning Combination") can be found on the Game Board, on each individual Collect & Win Game Stamp, and in Rule 5(c). If a participant collects all of the Collect & Win Game Stamps required to complete the Winning Combination, such participant is the potential winner of the prize corresponding to the Winning Combination, subject to verification and the participant's compliance with these Official Rules. A participant can use the Code printed on his or her Collect & Win Game Stamp to play the Online Game, making it possible for a participant to win two (2) prizes using the SAME Collect & Win Game Stamp: the prize revealed by the applicable Winning Combination; and an online prize. If this occurs, the potential winner must submit the required redemption documents and otherwise comply with these Official Rules for both prizes. See Rule 6 "HOW TO REDEEM."
  3. Guaranteed Win. Each Chance Piece offers participants the chance to collect Best Buy Bucks in $5 and predominantly $1 denominations, which can be used toward the purchase of Best Buy merchandise online at BestBuy.com® and at participating Best Buy retail locations. Best Buy Bucks are subject to verification and the participant's compliance with these Official Rules. Restrictions apply. See Rule 6(e) for Best Buy Bucks Terms and Conditions.
  4. Online Game. The Online Game is played at www.PlayatMcd.com (the "Official Website"). A computer with Internet access is required to participate in the Online Game. First time participants will be asked to enter the Code printed on their Game Stamp followed by their e-mail address and date of birth. After the Code is validated, first time eligible participants will be asked to enter their first and last name, phone number, zip code and a 4-digit alpha-numeric security cipher shown on the Official Website. Returning participants with additional Codes will be asked to simply type in their e-mail address, date of birth and a valid Code. Participants are then taken to a virtual MONOPOLY® Game Board where they can select a MONOPOLY® game token and roll the virtual dice for the chance to win. The participant will be entitled to roll the dice once for every Code that is entered. Limit ten (10) Codes per day, per person and/or e-mail address. Upon rolling the virtual dice, the participant's game token will automatically move the corresponding number of spaces.
    1. Online Instant Win. For the Instant Win component of the Online Game, the time of successful Code entry will determine whether the participant is a winner. The first person to execute a successful Code entry after a designated Winning Time (each a "Winning Time") will see his or her game token automatically move to one of the winning spaces on the virtual Game Board. The winning spaces for the Instant Win component of the Online Game are: GO!, Free Parking, Community Chest and Chance. If the dice roll takes the participant's game token to one of the winning spaces, then a message will appear on-screen, announce that the participant is the potential winner of the prize indicated, and provide redemption instructions that the participant will need to follow in order to complete the Online Game Instant Win prize redemption process. The Game Stamps containing the Code that corresponds to the winning roll and the potential winners' compliance with these Official Rules are subject to verification. The Official Website's database clock will be the official timekeeper for the Online Game.
    2. Online Collect & Win: Each "Online Winning Combination" is identified in Rule 5(f). Online Winning Combinations are triggered by the Code that is entered. If a participant's game token moves to one of the MONOPOLY® properties on the virtual Game Board, the Online Game will store the property in the participant's registration file. If a participant collects all the properties required for an Online Winning Combination, a message will appear on screen, announce that the participant is the potential winner of an online Collect & Win prize, and provide redemption instructions that the participant will need to follow in order to complete the Online Game Collect & Win prize redemption process. The Game Stamps containing the Codes that correspond to the Online Winning Combination and the potential winners' compliance with these Official Rules are subject to verification. Physical Collect & Win Game Stamps cannot be combined with virtual MONOPOLY® properties collected in the Online Game, and/or vice versa.
5. PRIZES / ODDS. The Approximate Retail Values (ARVs) for non-food prizes have been estimated as of June 20, 2006. The odds of winning Collect & Win prizes are based upon obtaining the complete Winning Combination. The odds are based on the number of prizes available at the beginning of the Game and will change as the Game is played and prizes are awarded. Approximately 416,726,000 MONOPOLY® Game Pieces and 37,250,000 Chance Pieces will be available for distribution throughout the United States, Guam, Saipan and American Samoa and approximately 458,485,000 MONOPOLY® Game Pieces will be available for distribution throughout the Territory.

Cash prizes won by a resident of the United States, Guam, Saipan and American Samoa will be awarded in U.S. dollars, and cash prizes won by a resident of Canada will be awarded in Canadian dollars. In addition, if the participant is able to demonstrate that the costs of arbitration will be prohibitive as compared to the costs of litigation, Sponsor will pay as much of the participant's filing and hearing fees in connection with the arbitration as the arbitrator deems necessary to prevent the arbitration from being cost-prohibitive; and (9) with the exception of subpart (6) above, if any part of this arbitration provision is deemed to be invalid, unenforceable or illegal, or otherwise conflicts with the Code of Procedure established by the Forum, then the balance of this arbitration provision shall remain in effect and shall be construed in accordance with its terms as if the invalid, unenforceable, illegal or conflicting provision were not contained herein. If, however, subpart (6) is found to be invalid, unenforceable or illegal, then the entirety of this Arbitration Provision shall be null and void, and neither Sponsor nor participant shall be entitled to arbitrate their dispute. For more information on the Forum and/or the Forum's Code of Procedure, participants may visit their Website at www.arb-Forum.com or contact them at National Arbitration Forum, P.O. Just like last year some states have weird laws about mail in contests. Anyone else notice that Vermont doesn't need to include return postage ? So going off of the averages, someone in vermont will make at least 50% return on their initial investment just on Best Buy Bucks let alone the prizes and free food, I think last year it was West Virginia. Anybody know anyone in Vermont ? :bouncy:

Saw the Monopoly promotion in the Best Buy ad today.

This year they don't have any game console prizes except PSP. It would be ultra hot if they were to have PS3 or Wii ;)

Mickey D offers lucky prizes for their employees that include psp system, or xbox system, or ps2 system. all come with games. i dont know exactly how many prizes will be given out though. Cheapasses, what are u waiting for? fill out an application for mcdonalds, TODAY!!

its always been Vermont. Vermont is the only state that doesnt require return postage. and yes there have been tons of people making money off this game since 2003 (sadly though all major profit has been removed cause it states in the rules this year you cant not sell these and they will come after you if you do)
Yeah, the dressing with the salad is full of fat. A full package of Caesar dressing is 16 grams of fat. A double hamburger has about the same amount of fat (which is what I'd rather have)

wait a minute...so what goes in those blanks? What's the P.O. box # and what's the zip? And do you need to send in a self adressed stamp envelope as well?
OK. 42 SASE's. Didn't pay a dime of my own $$$ for any of them. And yes, I did it legally.
Care to share?

It lists them on page 2 or 3 in the rules. I was replying to the post about how to format the address. You need the SASE as well.
My parents had extra stamps and envelopes. :)
Which means they ended up paying for you :)

if u send 2,000 SASEs, how does the mailman put those 2000 back into ur mailbox? Does he just lay them down on the ground wrapped together in a large block

first he will knock on the door and slug you for making him deliver 2,000 pieces of mail to you

really though, you will get a piece of paper saying you got a mail to pick up from the post office (just like a large package)

noone in their right mind would do 2,000 this year since the prizes are bad

1 in 12 gets 5 bucks everyone else gets 1

that is 1.32 per entry

so your going to risk

1560 bucks in hopes you get an ave 2640 in Best buy bucks

And remember there are less pieces this year so who knows you will get them all back and you can only use 200 Best buy bucks per day per store

that would take you 13 to 14 days to spend at a max per day and if you get the pieces back late you might not have 2 weeks since it takes 2 to 4 weeks to get the pieces back

They did print up some more though at the end. I sent about 30 out last year, the first 20 or so I got back with the BBB, 3 or 4 didn't have BBB (but I still got the monopoly pieces) and the last 4 or 5 a few days later had the BBB.

The good news is that the $3 limit on CD's and DVD's is again not being enforced online. Someone on SD posted they used $6 on a DVD today online.

I mailed my 1st 65 requests today. I have about another 20 outers done. After that I'm not sure if I want to send in that many more (it's very tedious as well as being tiring on my hand to write all those requests)

Any word, on whether they'll be in newspapers, or any other good place to get these for free?
I don't want to reduce myself to dumpster-diving at McDs, but I might, if I can get some game pieces and BBB that way.

I got a never ending coupon that lets be get a free SANDWHICH w/ purchase of large fry and lg. Soda. If the BBB were on the Soda, Sandwhich, and fries, that would be fucking awsome(seeing as how I don't pay for my food, I can only make profit:):)
Does anyone know with what food items you can get BBB? I can find it anywhere.
Chicken sandwhiches, that's IT for BBB's
Chicken sandwhiches, that's IT for BBB's
fuck that, that's horrible, bring back the fries and soda BBB =/

Those chicken sandwiches are fucking overpriced anyways, might as well take that money and just spend it at BB straight up.

They are also on the chicken selects (chicken fingers)

The lack of BBB on the fries is also why I chose to send away for the BBB, rather than get any at McDonald's. Last year I would order a large fries rather than the small fries (for $1 more) since you were guarnteed at least $1 or $3 in BBB from those fries.

Last year, my lunch during the entirety of Monopoly was a large fry and large drink. Fairly cheap, very unhealthy, but in the end I got Shadow of the Colossus for a few bucks out of pocket.

This year, I ain't even bothering.

has BBB ever been on the pops I think only on sandwiches and fries

this is where there are a lot less pieces out this year

i doubt the game be around next year

Wow, I don't eat at McDonald's so I had no idea abou the Best Buy thing. My God. My family owns a shipping business. I can take all the envelopes and stamps I want, and they won't cost anyone a penny. This is awesome. One question (probably answered but I didn't read all the posts): can you use the BB bucks online and in unlimited quanity (on games)?

Sucks about the $3 limit on DVDs though. I wanted some free Criterions. :(

I sent out 2314 envelopes today; Why? I have a Vermont address to send them to :) Free return postage for me.
I sent out 2314 envelopes today; Why? I have a Vermont address to send them to :) Free return postage for me.
I simply don't believe you. :bs:

Ha! Ha! At the Play McD's website, during the example of playing, they roll the dice, get a 2 and a 5 and the voice says "Doubles". AHAHAHAH

i hope you didnt put 2 different address on them or they will just be tossed

On the outer envlope the return address MUST Match the Address on the enter envlope. if they dont They will just toss them in the trash., Mcdonalds has started to crack down hard on people using the Vermont loop hole

hey, Im a new guy here. Do the best buy bucks not specifically say at the bottom of the coupon that there is a limit of 1 per customer, and they cannot be combined. I just had one and threw it out because I was pretty sure it said that. Im gunna go rummage the trash for it to check it out for sure.

its true. it was very easy to make major money off this game back then. you could sell the game pieces and best buy bucks.

last year would been a better year for them but since they couldnt sell off the pieces they said they took a major hit. they blew like 4000 bucks on stamps and did 10,000 entires and ended up with around 16,000 Best buy bucks

they sold stuff on ebay and broke a profit around 6k (after rent, gas, lack of work ect) i think last year but i know for a fact that 2004 they made around 25k cause of the prizes (pogo, gamefly)

they moved to vermont in early sept and did nothing but write out evnlopes until the game started. it was very easy to make a 5 number profit off this game back then
