Metal Gear Solid 4 & Metal Gear Online - 8/6: Rumored Trophy Update Out Now? Rumor!
It took him over 4 hours just to post all of those (looking at the time tags). How did nobody else post during that time?
I think a mod witheld it, because if you look at the first non-op post, it says "Behold NeoGaf", like it was witheld.

I'm getting increasingly tempted to get the LE game. I don't have the soundtrack. And...it seems to come in 2 standard Blu-Ray boxes (AKA the regular game box and an extra blu-ray disc) from pics I've seen on posters.

The soundtrack seems to be really good from what I've listened to so far. I never like them from movies/games but this one I do enjoy.

What the hell?

http://multiplayerblog.mtv.com/2008/05/30/possible-mgs4-review-limits/
From the IGN review:
In return for letting us play Metal Gear Solid 4 before its release, Konami issued us with a list of things that we're not allowed to discuss. This list of prohibited topics is pretty long, and even extends as far as several facts that the company itself has already made public.

Keep in mind, even GTA has all sorts of odd embargoes on what reviewers could talk about. Every publisher/developer has them. But it's really only coming into widespread use lately for these big game releases, and only now are writers fighting back by talking about them.

Kinda curious as to why Ign UK's review gave a 9.5 for lasting appeal and yet raved about replayability and left out MGO completely..
It could be that MGO is one of the things under their strange embargo.
They may also be considering it a separate game. Just a thought.

either that or the servers weren't up for them to play in.

In this month's EGM they mention that MGO still isn't ready to be reviewed yet.

The ones that do comment they only played the beta we all participated in.

Huh?
Huh?
It doesn't say it's featuring Hideo Kojima for the LA midnight thing

they mention his name in the other US appearances but not LA's :(

Oh sweet jesus. Ok so for clarification, The game will be in stores midnight of JUNE 12TH, the night of June 11th? For some reason I get easily confused about that. I'm so going to Metreon since all I have to do is take one bus. I wonder if I can get my LE signed :D

Well technically, it's 12:00 AM June 12th, which is midnight between June 11th and 12th. ;)

All you have to remember is that since 12 noon is actually 12:00 PM.

And for those that are on the 24 hour clock. 00:00 June 12th.

Looks like I'm heading to the Metreon too. Should be big since its the end of the NA tour, I'd expect like a 5+ hour wait. Hopefully we can bring our own stuff. I heard the signing at the Virgin megastore in NY will make you buy the game, if you want that signed. Guess we got to wait an see.

Also heres the official "MGS4 World Tour 2008" site:

Cliffnotes:

-Reasons for the delay: Kojima called for a halt to the podcast head back to the bunker to finish up MGS4. That and Ryan's been out of town most of the time, too.

-May be the last episode.

-Mostly just talk about the crunch in getting the game finished and all the stuff the team's been doing after the game went gold.

-Ryan talks about his adventures in uploading the Assassin's Creed/MGS4 mashup video to Youtube and getting it noticed by the press.

-The MGS1 remake trailer was a bit of a joke about how many times Shadow Moses has been remade.

-They give a shout out to the Metal Gear Mustache site. Mark plans to have a mustache ready for the launch.

-Ryan asks for people to play Sins of a Solar Empire with him, as he only sees around 40 whenever he gets on, whether it's because of the time difference or not.

-They talk about the GamePro review and then lay out their plans on how to build a perfect game reviewer.

-Mark hints that he may start his own podcast if the KJ Report is done.

-They go over the tour schedule.

-And that's it.

snap...I'm gonna try to round up a posse (one or two friends lol) to hit up Metreon. Maybe get Hideo Kojima to sign and maybe take some nice pics of him and/or Yumi Kikuchi :3

Just pre-ordered my copy at Blockbuster. Though they have the release date as June 20th...

Hopefully thats just their system being out of date. I'd rather not have to last 8 days of ignoring spoiler tags. Those things are too damn tempting.

North American Tour - with no stops in Canada?

Mother fucker!

I am deeply, deeply unimpressed.
:hot:

I'm so there on June 14th. But, no Canada stops is a huge letdown. North American Tour? Ha, yeah right. More like, US Tour.

If he can't be bothered visiting Canada, I don't know whether I can honestly be bothered to buy his game. Why give him money if he treats Canada like crap?

Especially since he's in NY for *two days*. How hard would it have been to come to Toronto?
Being a Canadian, I have this to say:

Do you blame him?

:p
Well, if you're calling it a "North" American tour, yeah.

Can somebody give the guy an atlas?

lol i cant believe people are saying they arent gonna buy the game because hes not coming to see you. He doesnt give a shit. Your gonna buy his game no matter what. Hes a busy guy he doesnt have the time or desire to visit everyone. What about the bands you guys like? If they dont have your city on the concert tour do you swear off their cds? Jesus Christ grow up people. Hes going where the most people will be.

I guess I shouldn't bother buying this game if he can't even bother to come to my place and stay for a few days to give me some personal MGS4 tips.

He's going to be too busy fucking Freakshow's wife...

Anybody else watching the MTV Movie Awards? A commercial popped up saying there's going to be a preview for MGS4 after the show ends.

Sounds interesting, I suppose.
