Mighty Muggs info thread:
Why? Because they are awesome

Target: 9.99 (not on website)

Toys R Us: 10.49 (http://www.toysrus.com/search/index.jsp?kwCatId=&kw=mighty%20muggs&origkw=Mighty%20muggs&f=Taxonomy/TRUS/2254197&sr=1) I have found them to have the biggest amount, and rarer ones of most of the stores

Wal-Mart: 9.98 (Not online?) Maybe some clearance ones?

Just picked up a Doc Ock, Ghost Rider, Silver Surfer, Galactus and a Lando in a pretty beat up box at the nearby Walmart. Damn, I'm really going to have to be more selective with my choices soon...this is gonna costs me a fortune. Only problem is that they all look pretty cool.

Btw...are these things actually made from 100% recycled materials? I kind of think they are not.....what does "100% recycled awesome" really mean anways?

From what I heard, no they are not made from recycled materials, the "100% recycled awesome" is just their slogan, probably just to promote that Muggs are awesome.

Anyway, I went to a Walmart to pick up my Muggs from Site to Store. And found out that they have upped the price as well. So it looks like many places are going to be $10.9x from now on. The $9.xx price is probably no more, unless you are buying them from Hasbro or Walmart.:whistle2:| These depressing news just keep on hitting...

Yah, that is just there Slogan is all. Also I still don't mind the price hike, But I have yet to find any Clearance Muggs. Only Problem with the Hasbro site is the shipping really. Other Wise I probably would have a few more But the shipping kills it for me truthfully.
 
The only one I can't find is Thor. I have all of Wave 1,2, 4, comic-con Peter and Iron man, but I can't find Thor anywhere.

Oh, and my Targets(Houston area) still have the Muggs at $9.99.

Ya know, it's kind of an ironic slogan ... at least it was for me, because the first time I saw them in stores and read that I was like "Oh man, I'm not gonna open that up and touch it ... probably has diapers and water cups from a first grade classroom mixed into it." Then I started reading about all the Chinese toys with lead in them and I thought "What the hell, at least it'll be American ..."
 
Found a Galactus at my local walmart only to see that the top of the box was ripped to hell, why must people abuse these poor little guys.

I did that to when I was first going to buy one.

Galactus is pretty solid.
 
I went on the hunt today at some new stores on the other side of town. Heres my report.

Toys R Us - Wow, first off it was noisy because it was Geoffry's birthday party. But it was well worth it. There was a huge selection. Probably 10 of Luke Skywalker (w/o black eye) and Obi-Wan, 1 Boba Fett, 1 Darth Maul, 1 General Grievous, and 1 Stormtrooper. I picked up the Stormtrooper to see if I can trade it. As for Indiana Jones all they had was Indys and Mola Rams. Marvel had 2 Ghost Riders, 2 Thors, 2 Black Spidermans, and 5 Doc Ocks. I grabbed a Black Spiderman. I will looking here a lot.

Borders - Nothing, either I missed them (looked in the comic/magna area) or they didn't have anything. Doesn't matter I wouldn't have paid $20 anyways, unless they had Venom.

Target - Another bust, only a couple common Star Wars and Indy's, most being busted open.

Walmart - Yet another bust. Saw Monkey Man and Mutt Williams, everything else were commons.

So TRU really got my hopes up for the hunt. And its funny how people say Hulk is the easiest to find because I think I've seen 1 in the 7 stores I have looked at. Indiana Jones is my Hulk.
 
Indiana Jones, Hulk and Thing here. ALL over the place. I would have Jumped on that Monkey Man and Mutt Williams. If you can, let me know if you can pick up Mutt. I would love to have him in my collection

Here are my Marvel Muggs, I keep them sealed and stacked on top of my DVDs. I Have everyone but THor, couldn't find him at 5 Targets, 3 Walmarts, and 2 TRUs.

I am thinking about picking up Dr.Doom at Walmart.com or at BBTS.

I picked it up and looked at the top and it was opened. I asked the old hag if there were any more in the back and she was like "no what we have here is what we have, but I put some more out." I was like WTF then look in the back for another if you put more out

That's what I ALWAYS get at Wal-Mart, some smarmy bitch who is like "we only got what's out here, nothing more".

I think it probably has to do with idiot toy resellers who bother the employees several times a week for the "toys in the back" because they just KNOW that a shipment came in today and they have to buy those "2 per case" toys that they can make 5 bucks on.
 
Picked up Galactus and Silver Surfer at Target this morning. Why is Galactus so damn heavy? Did they fill his helmet with lead before putting it on?
 
So when do the stores typically get their new shipments in? Sundays? Mondays? A few of the targets/walmarts I went to today were looking pretty bare in their selection. I did pick up a General Grievous and Darth Maul at Target today though.

That is quite alright.:) Was just wondering why you got pissed off about it. But I did saw one Spider-Man Muggs at a Toys 'R' Us, forgot which one, and about 75% of top is ripped off. Saw another Muggs some other store have the top all ripped off. And have seen many Muggs been opened and box mangled.:whistle2:|

Similar thing happened to me too. I was actually in at a Walmart one day and saw Mutt William and maybe a Monkey Man as well. And I was asking an employee about whether they have more, and the guy just stated that what is on the shelves is what they have, and that they have trucks coming in every night and they restock them every night, which I doubt is true.

Wish I know when the stores have the shipments in too. That way, I can go and check them out without going in and come out disappointed.

But do notice that the ebay listings are shipped from Hong Kong so don't expect them right away at your stores.

indy waves 3 and 4 being canceled doesn't have any real effect on wave 2. they've already been produced and are still making their way to stores (just at a slow rate since wave 1 is clogging shelves). any leftover stock that hasbro has will be offered online, which is probably why they've been available and in stock for weeks now. basically... wave 2 isn't hard to find, but it's almost entirely being picked up online.

the salah and short round exclusives are still being made. that was a deal set up between hasbro and the retailer, entertainment earth. hasbro is only canceling the regular release products. so, if you haven't put in your order yet, that is something you might want to consider... they're likely to be small in number and a bit higher in demand.

A frustrating hunt today. I went the long way home from work to stop at a Target, Kmart, and Walmart.

Target - Walk into the aisle. Holy shit, 1 Captain America and 2 Hulk (Hulks are hard to come by for me). Picked up the CA and the box was good, paint had a couple minor problems. Turn around to the Star Wars/Indy section. Indy, meh the usual. Star Wars, holy shit again, 4 eyed Darth Vader in great condition. Yoink. I decided to just get the Darth Vader.

K-mart - Pull up and see 2 big signs "Store Closing". "Yes! Maybe I can some cheap MM". Walk in the toy section and it was torn to pieces and everything was 25% off. I had to walk every aisle to see if I can find some. I found Wolverine, Captain America, and Hulk each with their own personal problems. Found a Spiderman that was in decent shape but decided to hide it and wait for 50%+ off.

Walmart - Go to the huge clearance toy aisle and scanned it a couple times. So much but no MM. Went to the regular section. Found another 4 eyed Vader but the box was squished, The Thing with the box ripped, and yet another Captain America that was sub par.

So many MM I want but such poor conditions. But hey, 1 great 4 eyed Darth Vader.
 
All the Targets in my area now have all MMs priced at $10.99. Found another Captain Rexx but it had a black mark on it's face. Have noticed more Anakins, Dookus and theHuman Torch in my area. Still no luck with Ghost Rider and Thor. Might have to look into trading for those. Damn TRU.
 
Walmart.com has the Star Wars wave 5 (Rex, Dooku, Asajj, and Anakin) and Darth Vader in stock now. I'm pretty sure they were not up there or available yesterday. The Wave 5 muggs also have the free ship to store option...too bad Vader doesn't though.
 
I've had Black Suited Spidey for a month or two now and he's been my only MM. I saw this thread today and I didn't realize how many their are!? So, I went to Walmart to check it out and buy the Iron Man DvD and while I was there I picked up three. I'm only into the Marvel ones, and maybe the Transformer ones when they come out... But anyway, I grabbed Silver Surfer, Hulk and Galactus. My Walmart really had some jackpot. I'm gonna check out TRU, Borders and Target tomorrow. ;)
 
BBTS has a bunch in stock, for Marvel they have like

Spider Man
Captain America
Iron Man
Dr. Doom
Silver Surfer

and like a bunch more Marvel ones
 
Black Suit Spider-Man is in stock at walmart.com and toysrus.com now. Been looking for that one everywhere for the past week with no luck.

Jeta does the best graphic customs. He is on the Mighty Muggs Forum and exclusive as well ;)

But yeah, Good friend of mine and does amazing work really. His Joker is probably one of my favorites truthfully. But he is going onto bigger and better stuff truthfully :(
