Mighty Muggs info thread:
Why? Because they are awesome

Target: 9.99 (not on website)

Toys R Us: 10.49 (http://www.toysrus.com/search/index.jsp?kwCatId=&kw=mighty%20muggs&origkw=Mighty%20muggs&f=Taxonomy/TRUS/2254197&sr=1) I have found them to have the biggest amount, and rarer ones of most of the stores

Wal-Mart: 9.98 (Not online?) Maybe some clearance ones?

I'm not the biggest Transformer fan out there, but I'm definitely in for Optimus and Megatron. And I think I need to get the Skrull mugg as well. But only cuz I lap up anything FF related :lol:
 
Sunday was a good day... Boba Fett, Jango Fett, C-3PO, and Iron Man. Wal mart also had Commander Cody and Leia, but the boxes were fucked up. so I left them.
 
Picked up Grievous and Maul on Sunday. There were 2 Mauls left, in case anyone is interested.
Side-note: I feel like I saw the Vision and Skrull MM several weeks ago, before I became addicted to these things. Is that possible? I'm trying to figure out if I'm just mistaking the bobbleheads for the MM. My memory is cloudy.

One of each was sold on eBay a few weeks ago. I think there was a post in here about it. They were shipping from Hong Kong, snatched right off the assembly line, no doubt.

Just yesterday I tried using this code when I ordered Commander Gree from hasbrotoyshop.com and it wouldn't take it, it may be because he is an exclusive. It would however take the SW2009 (10% off Star Wars products) I was upset I couldn't get the free shipping but at least I took my 1.50 off :bomb:

Just got in 8 mighty muggs in the mail today! Once I get the rest of my packages in, I will be missing just Leia and Venom to complete my Star Wars and Marvel collections respectively. I'm not gonna lie though...having them delivered to you isn't nearly as satisfying as finding them out in the "wild"...but whatever, their still sweet looking!
 
Awesome hasbro code! I just pulled the trigger on both blanks and the 3 newest indys for 42.00 shipped! I'm considering getting Skywalker, Obi Wan & Mace as well...as I'm missing those.

These are all attainable from the links that have been provided in the last 3 pages or so of this thread unless you're talking B&M of course. Princess Leia and Venom are hard to find from your list though.

He makes a good point, they are not rare I would say(except for venom) but just uncommon. Like I have seen only one Jango(is still at my Wal Mart) and a Leia that is still hangin at Target. There are like only one or two per store is what I have seen.
 
My local Wal-Mart is old, and never quite evolved into a Super Wal-Mart. It does have a supply of Mighty Muggs, but I'm not really pleased with their cosmetic conditions; kids are very destructive. At the same time, I want to purchase MM's locally to avoid shipping charges; I currently just purchase 1 per week. I'm rather new to collecting these, and I only have Wolverine and Silver Surfer in my possession. The problem is that my Wal-Mart seems very slow in terms of restocking MM's, so I've been hiding the defective looking Mighty Muggs all throughout the store to give Wal-Mart the idea that they've sold off all their MM stock. I've been utilizing this trick for about four days now, and now it appears, at least to them, that there are none left. However, if I were obtain knowledge of Wal-Mart's restocking policies, I could develop a more effective strategy. I need to know when Wal-Mart is supposed to restock, what causes them to restock, and how many units they restock at a time. Any info would be appreciated. Btw, if your information is useful, I'd be more than willing to share my new strategy.

Hiding them is not going to make them think they sold them. Inventory is taken by the computers when items are sold. When an item reaches a certain quantity level more is automatically sent to replace it. Most stores get 1 case of Muggs (4 Muggs in a case, 1 of each character) every week or 2 (for me at least). I know my Walmart has 2 sets of Marvel Wave 4 right now.
 
What's up folks, just wanted to drop a tip to some folks in the Northern California Bay Area region. In San Jose, CA at the Urban Outfitters in Santana Row, I was window shopping after hours with my gf tonight and saw at least 2 venom's in the window, along with almost every other marvel mugg including Dr. Doom and the Thing.

So, if you're in the region, I'd hit em up bright and early because I can confirm at least 2 venoms, if not more, are currently in stock for about $20 each (not bad considering how hard venom is to find). Cheers
 
Curse you hasbro! Promo code was too good to pass up. Got a black blank. Might use it to make a custom MM i've been thinking about.

Hmm, I've seen all of those in person except for Venom at various Wal-Marts and Targets in my area, most only on one occasion however. I have seen Silver Surfer and Cody multiple times though.

Only one I bought from that list was Jango.
 
A new Target opened up in my area today and I stopped by and found Thor. It was the first time that I had seen a Thor B&M. Man, he sure is orange!

They also had 1 Dr. Jones, 2 Mutt Williams and a Monkey Man. I would have picked up Dr. Jones but a guy and his mom got there right before me and picked him up. They were asking a Target employee if they had any more MMs in the back. I had to go so I couldn't find out if they did.

okay... seriously...

if ANYONE finds a venom ANYWHERE, please pick them up. i know i'd gladly pay $20 for one, as would many others here, i'm sure. hell, i could use thing as well.

Not being rude but, good luck with that. It's hard enough getting one off e-bay for a decent price. I got mine off e-bay when they were doing the 30% cash back. Now it's only down to 20.

he said he found 2 venoms sitting on the shelf at an urban outfitters... but it was in california. being that i'm in texas, that does me no good. is it so hard to think that we, as a community, would help each other out? i know i've already helped out a few people here (and elsewhere) and gotten some help too.

that's one of the nice things, i think, about a forum like this. we can make connections all over the county, and hopefully not have to resort to paying inflated ebay prices.

not being rude, but are you saying you'd buy both venoms and hit up ebay for the cash before coming here and offering to the group?

Urban Outfitters charges $20 for MM. He's saying good luck getting it for $20. You have to factor in tax, gas, shipping, etc.

seriously? you were talking about tax, gas and shipping? guess i thought all that was assumed. i.e. i'd gladly pay $20 (base price) for a venom despite the fact that they're normally $10 (or so) everywhere else. you may have not meant to be rude, but what were you thinking... i'm an idiot? and i was asking for someone to take a loss in order to help out me or others? never.

sorry, i'm just a little insulted that you think i'm so... ignorant. and trying to swindle others. in fact, that is exactly what i'm saying we should NOT be doing.
 
Been to 6 Targets and 4 Walmarts and 3 ToysRus in the past two weeks.... finally found ONE lone Galactus hanging out at a Walmart. My first sighting ever since hearing about their release in early Sept. Snatched that up right quick... too bad no Silver Surfer but there were a ton of Human Torches burning a hole in my retina with their day glow paint job. I passed. I was happy to find Galactus though (grinning all the way to the checkout lane).

When I got home and opened the box, to my surprise I found on the back of my prize art toy, a nice shiny fingerprint smugging up the purple paint. Don't these factory guys in China know better to wear gloves when painting a figure, or better yet, let the paint dry before handling it? These toys are cool and all, but the quality control department is in dire need of improvement!!

That being said... can't wait until Punisher comes out and finding the elusive Silver Surfer.

(Hint: For those on the hunt - Borders got a bunch of Venoms, but personally I don't understand the draw aside from their rarity... not very good looking in my opinion... the custom Venom on eBay is 100x better)
 
That custom Venom Punisher will be in my hands very soon. Jeta is sending me almost all of his customs that didnt sell.

These are the one's he's sending me. He sent me a PM on the Mugg Forum telling me how Thankful he was for sending him over to the site and now that his company is booming, he has stopped customizing Muggs till he has a lot more free time again. He wanted to thank me by sending me a crap load of Muggs. And as a thanks, he sent me a list and just told me to pick which ever ones I wanted. Granted I had to pay shipping, But Hell, I didn't give a crap.
