That would work. Guess that would also explain why I am seeing less Hulks at some stores I went to these couple days.
I doubt enough people are doing it to make a noticeable difference, especially considering there are hulks EVERYWHERE around here. I need to pick one up sooner or later.

Any tips for custom mighty muggs? I'm planning to try my hand at a few but I'm wondering if there are certain paints that make them look more official/ authentic, and if there's a benefit to air brushing over simply using brushes, etc.

Linkin have you seen the Marcus Phoenix Custom Mugg yet? Looks pretty good.

Like is said, that site is great for Mugg Collectors and people who want to do customs.

Yeah, I liked the body but not the face. MMs are supposed to have a light-hearted comical look to them, he made the face too serious.

This is the one thing alot of people who do Customs have to take into perspective. That they are meant to be Light-hearted to look at and not so serious.

What section of Toys are these typically found in B&M? I checked a few stores around my area and haven't found 'em thought I just might not be looking in the right place and for the right thing. How big are these anyway?

One of the Walmart I went to put them at Action Figures section. At Target and Toys 'R' Us, if looking for Star Wars Muggs, just look for Star Wars toys and they should near there, same with Indiana Jones. For the Marvel ones, try to look for Hulk hands, Iron Man masks, and bobble heads.

Hope it helps

Mainly look around the action figures. They are generally six inches tall.
They are generally six inches tall.
That would explain why I had a hard time finding them. I thought these were bigger.

Things have gotten more depleted around here recently. Haven't been able to find any new stocks for about a week+ now, and I've been to like 4 stores.

Oh, OP might want to add a link to BBTS.com to the first post, as it is good pre-order resource.

So is the venomstill going to be re-released soon? I ask because a borders store located over 20 miles said through the phone that they have two in stock and I dont want to pay $20 and the extra mileage and then a few months later its at target for $10.

Any info would be great, thanks.

It's a reprint, just like the Wolverine.

Toys R Us in Brookesville, FL just got a whole SLEW of them the other day including the new Star Wars Wave. I was gonna pick up Dooku but wife wouldn't let me as I got 7 the other day lol

I just posted a list of some of the better video game custom muggs on gameSniped.

http://www.gamesniped.com/2008/08/28/custom-video-game-mighty-muggs/

Includes some new ones like Gears of War Marcus, Link, Snake and a few Mario's.

If you want to check out some more custom Muggs after that, you should check out my Custom Mighty Muggs blog at http://www.custommightymuggs.net

We've been updating multiple times daily showing off all the latest custom Muggs. From Mario, He-Man, Freddy Kreuger, Batman, Spawn, the Joker and tons more.

We've also got a contest running on our new mighty muggs forum at http://www.mightymuggsforum.com/

There's over $250 in Muggs to be won there and it's easy to enter. Great way to win a preorder for the new Star Wars, G.I. Joe, Marvel or Indy wave.

I just robbed Wal-Mart of all their $7.00 discount Muggs too, so i should be giving away a bunch of random prizes as well.

I wish I could find, or remember to look for, these discounted Muggs. I did manage to find Dr Doom which was cool. I gave my 10 month old the choice of him or Capt America for me to get and he wanted nothing to do with Capt, so that was cool.

Stopped by Toys R Us in Cerritos, they had 2 or 3 of each: Captain America, Wolverine, and ofcourse, Hulk.

On the Starwars front, a ton of Obi and Luke...like 10 each.
I passed up a few SW ones today. I think I saw Cody and Jango at the Meijer I checked out.
You REALLY should have picked them up, they are two good rares.

Damn, I thought Cody was, but wasn't too sure about Jango...damn

Jango's not...

I've seen one of him at every 1 out of 2 stores I go to.

SO what do you guys do with these? I see Linkin Opens them a puts them out for display but what about the rest of you guys? Do you keep the boxed up?

Not too sure what I will do with mine. Probably keep them in boxes while clearing out the clutter in my house. Then, if I decide to open them, I'll put them around my gaming area, out of reach of my 10 month old. Of course, I am still waiting on my 3 ebay auction wins to get here.

I might have to go get Cody on Saturday, if he's still there. If not, oh well.

Seems like either Hasbro are releasing more of mix of Marvel's wave 1 and 2 or Toys 'R' Us has stock of them that they did not put on the shelves, because I saw more Captain America, Wolverine and Spider-Man in couple Toys 'R' Us I went to. If they are releasing more Spider-Man, then those are not very good ones. The ones I saw have lines smudged on their masks. Few Toys 'R' Us I went to recently have Muggs that I wanted, was going to get them, but someone opened them.:whistle2:|

Also saw three Storm Troopers in a Walmart on the way home.

Grabbed a "four eyes" Darth Vader and a Storm Trooper today.
SO what do you guys do with these? I see Linkin Opens them a puts them out for display but what about the rest of you guys? Do you keep the boxed up?
I kept mine in the box. Probably might open them one day, but have no displaying area at the moment.

mine are in the box until i find a solution to display them properly. Does this ever happen to you guys? Where you keep seeing the same ones and you have nothing to buy after countless times of searching only to leave empty handed, so the ones you keep seeing starts to look better and better until you end up buying it. Yeah, that happened to me today. I ended up buying Doc Ock, i think he would be better out of the box with his tentacles showing. Someone please find me a classic iron man and thing.

Was out again and looked for some MM. Found the same 3 Indy MM as usual, and a Luke but didnt bite. Still Mighty Mugg-less here, just trying to find some Marvels besides a Doc Ock, and an Obi Wan, but so far no luck.

Jango is i think IMHO. He is getting good trade value for him

I am now on the Mighty Mugg Forums. I gotta admit, Like the board better. Alot of new people but good people. I suggest signing up for it and trying to make it a awesome board! At least we would know the CAGs on there!

for anyone wanting a Venom, the Borders on 202/Concord Pike in Wilmington had 2 of them, $19.99 each. There is a 30% off coupon for labor day floating around, so it knocked the price down to $13.99.

I grabbed 1 of the 2, so there is one left. I knew how rare they were, but I don't horde things like that, so check it out.

If you can't get to the store and you're within DE or the lower half of PA, PM me and I'll go pick him up for you!

Now this is what being a super generous CAG is all about. Aweseome, dude. Just awesome.
haha, thanks bud...i do what i can :D
I have yet to see one of these "Might Muggs" that appeal to me, but I wanted to say thanks for not being an ass and hoarding, even tho I'm sure you could have profited from it some-how.
Or just wait for Toys R Us to get Punisher and Jigsaw in ;)

That's what im waiting for.
