You seriously don't know what you're talking about. The Red Sox have by far one of the best, most loyal fanbases in all of sports. If you're mad because they've been winning, fine, but just admit that. Meanwhile, I saw two brand-new, crisp, tags-just-ripped Tulowitzki t-shirts in Boston today. New Rockies fans everywhere, when no one would admit to rooting for that team about 6 months ago.
Yeah... right.

Fans of the Red Sox didn't start crawling out of the woodwork until they finally won a WS. When teams win, you get more fans, that's how it works. But don't try and act like people in Boston are any different.

I don't care if the Sox make the playoffs ever again when I'm over 100 years old and lose four games in a row. I'm still a Sox fan.

Take that for loyalty.
90% Yankees Fan: OMFG WE DIDN'T MAKE THE PLAYOFFS !!!!!!!! WAHHH!!!

yea, we would say that, doesnt mean we wouldnt stick with the team though. how is 'wahhhh' unloyal?

Bandwagon fans cling to any successful franchise... But the Sox had one of the most loyal and diehard fanbases in Baseball, if not sports.

What I think is funny is the people that wear Yankees stuff, cuz its the "thug" thing to to.
Lets see how Lester handles himself on the biggest stage in the MLB.
Best performance of his career. the kid is looking lights out..now if he could bunt..that would be 4x amazing.

.......Delcarman on the other hand.......

Clearly you don't actually follow baseball, so there's no point in arguing with you.

Lester pitched his butt off. Really impressed.
just turned in to a sweater. Rocks aint going down.
Quite true. But, alas, surely too little, too late.

I have to say I changed my tune after being in Denver over the weekend. fuck that city and its residents. I never people could piss me off so much that being surrounded by people talking in stereotypical Bahhstin accents, covered head to toe in Red Sox gear was pleasant by comparison. I still don't like the Red Sox or their fans, but I want to see the Rockies lose now. Petty? You bet, but you ain't changing my mind, either.
I'd say Ellsbury as well, damn I didn't think the Red Sox would sweep the Rockies.
i thought the rocks would atleast take 1 game....but lester was even untouchable. I would have said Okajima because he was lights out except for the hiccup tonight.

Great, now im going to hear it from my econ teacher on tuesday about it. Just like evermin said about bahhstahn accents..he is a prime example.
so can lowell ask for near arod money now?
Depends on what A-rod money is, as I just saw on the NYT website that he opted out of his Yankees contract. Could go up, but doubtful that it will.

guess i can wear my arod jersey one last time tomorrow

a rod says he opted out because of the unstability on the team, which is bull shit because he could have at least waited for the yanks to make a decision on the manager. Maybe theres some insider info that he found out that the public is not aware of.

i think he should go to the cubs, he wont have to worry about choking in the playoffs because there is no playoffs there.

I hope all the mean NL fans here feel like dumbasses.

Once again this is why the NL sucks.

"But it's only 4 wins..." -NL Fans

Now everything waving around during the game, you can now cry into them.

Sadly I have to wait until next year... to see the Sox win in Fenway.

Hopefully they do another state tour with the trophy like they did in 04, I was sick so I didn't get to see it.

State? The thing went everywhere. I think it went to every town in New England that wanted to see it, it went to every state I think. Hell they had to fix it a few times. I didn't see it because I didn't care that much, it's just a trophy, th win is what matters.

It went to every town that requested it, hundreds of towns. Most got to see the ball, too.
Boring is fine with me. A World Series win is a World Series win no matter how it happens.
Yes, but to every other city on earth it's whatever unless it's actually entertaining.

Once again, city?

The Red Sox are in Boston, but they are at least New England's team, unless you live in southwest CT, but that's not part of CT.

And my sister took some pictures of it in 2004, that works for me.
