4-ish is par for Jackson I think. The numbers are pretty solid and linear. Watching him is what will drive you crazy.
I offered it, then realized I had offered to the new guy we let in from public that is the "bomb everyone with shit trades guy". He promptly countered with Haren, Kelly Johnson, and Stephen Drew for Chase Utley, Asdrubal Cabrera, and Chris Carpenter.
Man am I bummed about Cano. I had a feeling last year and picked him up really early, 3rd or early 4th round last year cause I thought it was gonna be the year. He had a great year but not what I hoped. He is destroying the ball this year.
Yikes. The Haren/Carpenter portion is fair, but the Kelly Johnson/Utley swap is way out of bounds.
I know he's only 80 PA into the season, but Geovany Soto is seriously walking at a level that even pre-2001 Bonds didn't touch: 24.4%. His Ks are down, and his BABIP has bumped back from its freakishly low level last season. I was happy to get him for $5 in my keeper league draft this year, and I'm even happier now. Move him up in the lineup, Lou!
Cliff Lee keeps throwing harder, too. His fastball averaged 92 in his start against the Rangers; his velocity has gone from 88/89 to 91 in two years, and if he continues to throw 92 it'll mark a third straight season of increased velocity.
