After Nate's responses to my crazy-but-true stories, I can't wait to see what he says about this.
Huh? What story? Your facebook post was amusing if that's what you're referring to. As I said, I felt bad for putting up that many runs and tried to stop running the bases aggressively. But that damn lineup wouldn't stop hitting. I think I've got five different guys who have homered in my two games so far.

I was referring to such stories as my former neighbor fighting the street and being late to ready up for NHL because I was getting pudding.

I got the old stories part. I just wasn't sure what "this" referred to.

I'm also available for a game today.

As for my schedule this week, it looks like Monday after 4 works, Wednesday I'm off, and Thursday after 7. All the other days I'm closing, so may or may not be available then.

Oh, I'm sorry. I meant that his story sounded like something hilarious that would never happen to anyone in real life. The part about the cat and dog fighting over bacon, anyway.

Anyone want to play a game sometime tonight? Redworm, I can play at 9:30 Central.

Oh, pitfallharry's story. I don't know why I didn't notice that's what you were talking about. A cat and dog fighting over bacon is amusing. I've never understood people putting their 360 vertical though. Never seemed like a good idea to me. Though, I guess now, you could say the same thing about giving a dog/cat bacon, haha.

Obviously the dog should just eat the cat and call it a day.

I can't get on tonight but I'm pretty open most of the day Wednesday.

I agree 100%, Nate. :)

I just experienced the worst lag ever vs. JStryke. The game was nigh unplayable, and we both were just swinging at anything close. I thought it had improved a little bit, but then it went back to constant lag. The game was tied 3-3 in the 6th when I lost my connection to the server/game/opponent/whatever. I guess a reset is our best option, unfortunately.

Couldn't remember who I already started pitching wise when starting a game today so posting this for my benefit:

Hudson *
Hanson *
Jurrjens (started brewers game)
Lowe *
Beachy *

my lineup this season so far
Greinke *
Gallardo
Marcum *
Wolf *
Narveson

Kinda sad that stats seem to be kind of wonky this season, I haven't seen the stats for my last two games show up yet.

It was bad at times, and other times it seemed ok. One thing I noticed though. I was doing a little bit of franchise a few weeks ago and noticed for some reason my sound was 2k beats instead of commentary. I switched it after my first game (where I don't recall much if any lag), but before my game with redworm (where we did have some lag). Would that have any effect on lag at all or no? The timing is odd, but maybe it's just the time of day we were playing (since I live right next door to a library, that may not be the best thing for my connection at times).
JStryker, what's your availability like over the next couple days once Nate presumably resets our game?
Off tomorrow and get off at 6pm EST Thursday and next Monday. Fri-Sun and Tuesday I close (store closes at 10, may have to stay later depending).

Changed my audio settings and oddly enough, it felt like it did help at least somewhat as far as lag goes. Had some spikes, but in general felt better than it did the last two games for me.

As I mentioned though already to Nate and Red Worm, I'm beginning to think 2k is laying the hate. 2 games this week with disconnections.

At least I have another change to hit Mcgehee with a pitch. Need to vent at him for sucking it up on my fantasy baseball team this season.

That was nuts. For some reason, I tend to suck with Jurrjens on the mound. I guess with him being better than Halladay this year IRL, 2k had to nerf him a little, eh?
Can u reset Brewers braves 2nd game was 8-6 lagfest before it dced
Got that game reset. Although, I have to admit, I'm a little concerned that all these laggy games and drops seem to center around JStryke. Might want to check your connection and make sure everything is running ok. If you're on wireless, definitely make sure your connection is secure and that nobody is leeching off of you. Hopefully it's just a bad patch and things will improve though.

For my connection, sadly, there's not really much if anything I can do about that. I can attempt to control it somewhat in the sense that I can play my games at night, but that only helps so much. I share this house with three other people (remember, I moved here back in late may). Two of them may not be an issue, but the other has his own gaming sessions that he does in his room. Plus, there is a library next door to us as well, so I'm share there is interference there. More so in the day time.

All I can say about my connection is it seems fairly solid generally, but it does have those moments where it likes to spaz out.

I'm not 100% sure, but I think it was just those two games that were crappy (plus the drops, although the one wasn't my fault since I think matt's internet lost connection totally). I don't recall much issue in the first game this season or much issue in the playoffs last season. Plus my game today with Matt seemed relatively seemed solid as well. And I wasn't sure if it mattered, but it seems like it's better lag-wise if I have 2k beats as my sound instead of commentary, but that may just be coincidental?

Plus, not sure how much it matters, but I normally am the one to get invited while today, I actually sent the invite. So I guess there's that as well?

On a more positive note however, I did get a game in with Matt today which seemed lag-free (at least on my end, he never mentioned lag on his end). Crazy back and forth battle between us, with runs being scored in every inning except the 5th and 9th. Took the lead for good when I made it 9-7 in the 8th, when McClouth put the nail in the coffin with a solo inside the park home run.

Also had seven home runs between us. Heyward (2), McCann (1), Conrad (1), McClouth (1), Dunn (1), Konerko (1)

Also, I'm going to pretend Beachy had a solid start. 11ks and only 3 earned runs.
He gave up all seven though.

lost a lagfest to Matt http://community.2ksports.com/community/league/game.cfm?l=1517062&g=51905908&menu=recap

I might be on starting around 8pm EST tonight if I just don't collpase after work. 30 or so hours in 3 days...ugh...

Otherwise, off wednesday, thursday I "might" be able to get on around 10, off saturday, sunday, and monday.

Hey guys. Sorry I've fallen behind my own deadlines a bit. I'm out of town right now and will be moving during the next 1-2 weeks. So, my schedule is going to be kind of crazy. I promise to get caught up and move the league forward though. Just keep playing your games and we'll keep things moving.

EDIT - Also, what happened in the Rays/Rockies game? The website is showing Rays 3 - Rockies 1 in the 5th inning.

My connection is normally very good, yet I had lag issues with theredworm as well. Worm said he has experienced issues as well, and obviously I have. It isn't just Jstryke.

Great games with both Jstryke and worm recently despite the lag:

Atlanta Braves 10, Chicago White Sox 7

Chicago White Sox 7, Milwaukee Brewers 6

I'll be busy this weekend since Saturday is my birthday and I have people flying in from the midwest, but I can play tomorrow or Thursday.
I'll be on tonight Nate.
I'll be waiting...with no pants.

Just finished a good game with JStryke. He jumped out to an early 2-0 lead as I couldn't get anything going. I think I stranded runners on 3rd in three of the first four innings. Then, I screwed myself with a baserunning mistake that somehow had Nelson Cruz instructed to go to 3rd right off the bat (I don't know if I bumped LT or what, but I was too busy watching the ball to notice), and I got caught between 1st and 2nd. The very next batter, BOOM, Mitch Moreland home run.

THEN, in the 5th, I rallied again, putting runners on the corners with 2 outs and Josh Hamilton up. Hamilton came up big and hit a long drive to centerfield. I thought for sure I'd score both runners and end up with a triple...but, the ball bounced over the wall...womp womp, and then Cruz popped out to end the inning and strand two more in scoring position.

But just when I thought I couldn't catch a break, the Texas lineup went off, crushing three more HR's in route to an 8-2 win. Mike Napoli went 3-4 with two doubles and a HR, and Adrian Beltre finally did something positive by hitting a HR. His swing still looks like complete shit though. I don't know how he can even reach anything with the way he bails out and corkscrews himself every time.

Good game, JStryke. Your pitching had me way off balance for the first 4+ innings.

EDIT - Just noticed that the website appears to have fixed itself, as that Rays/Rockies game has finally "finished". It's showing the 5-1 score now, so that's good.

One thing I thought was funny in our game. I think it was in the 8th though might've been in the 7th. You hit a long one. I could tell you thought it was gone (or at least was going to drop) since you had everybody rounding the bases. Then I thought it was also gone. Made the last second catch. Should've thrown it to second base instead of home, but that was kind of comical in my opinion.

Haha, yeah, that made me laugh too. I thought at the least it would hit off the wall. I couldn't believe I got both runners back safely. I had the Benny Hill theme playing in my head during that play, haha.

All right, I think the league website has fixed itself, so according to that, we've got two teams that are a little behind the pace. The Phillies and White Sox seem to have only played three games. It's not a big deal, because as I said, my availability itself is probably going to be all over the place for the next month or so. I was fortunate to be able to play three games yesterday to get caught up, so as long as everybody keeps trying to get games in, we'll be fine.

I'm also hoping we can find a replacement for pitfallharry, since it really wouldn't be fair to just give everybody wins against him since there are three teams who play him twice. I have the option of just dropping him from the league, but I don't know if that would just remove all of his games from the schedule or just give everybody wins anyway. Definitely something to figure out.

If anybody is interested in joining the league, please feel free to post!

I have had a friend visiting since last weekend and have been very busy. Part of that was attending 4 ballgames in 5 nights (Dodgers, plus the whole Angels/Twins 3 game set) so that was cool, but I haven't exactly been available. This weekend (today included) I am. Got free shit, though!

Yeah, 50th anniversary banner. It does look very nice, but I will probably give it to a friend who likes the team.

As for the games, just let me know and we can get it done. Planning on relaxing at home for the most part.

Who wants to try getting a game in this weekend? I'll be online until around 10 or so tonight, won't be home until 7ish tomorrow and Sunday. Off all day Monday.

Don't know if I can do tonight, but I'm off tomnorrow and wednesday and get off at 6 tues/thurs this week. Fri / Sat may not work though since I get off late those nights.

For tonight, depends. Just replaced my 360 after it being on the fritz lately with the disc drive and doing the transfers and such right now.

Great. I know you mentioned that in a message to me, so I can play you tonight.

The game with Colorado could have gone either way. We both had fielding control issues and baserunning blunders, but it was a competitive contest which I held on to win.

Chicago White Sox 4, Colorado Rockies 2

My starter was John Danks, leaving Gavin Floyd as the only SP yet to take the mound.
