Mountain Dew & Doritos [XboxONE promotion]

Ugh.  I bought 17 gamer packs (our Walmart still has about 50 in stock).   Out of those 17, the first 7 did not have a code on/in it.  The remainder had the code under the flap seal.  I don't even know how to go about getting replacement codes.  I'm done with this promotion. 

 After DR3, still have about 3000 spare, though 10,000 for a $60 game and 30,000 for a $600 console seems a bit FUBAR.  If anybody is interested in buying the ~3000 spare (not sure about exact number, will have to finish entering the codes I do have)... pretty much just hoping to hit a break even point. Points are sold.  Good luck everybody

Not sure if we have the same problem, but for some of my gamerpacks when I tried to open the flap, the part over the code wouldn't open initially when pulling the big seal up, so I had to peal off that small slit on top of it.

It does seem like there isn't a code on it, but then I noticed the seal didn't cover it. Hope that helps!

 
Yeah I mean, if I could collect 10,000 or so for about 30-40 bucks I may consider it to get one of the games with, but considering 3x that gets you a whole console the math is certainly off.

The only possible way to make it seem worth the 10,000 point price is getting 100 2 litters at CVS today for $55, but even then saving the $10 off the normal price might not be worth the wait of 8-12 weeks for it to arrive.

Exactly, I'd rather pay the $10 and just get it early on. I want to pick up Ryse, it's not a 'must have' for me, but i'm intrigued by it, but the bundle I won comes with Forza. No biggie, I enjoy Forza so I'll hold onto it, I already have Dead Rising 3, CoD and BF4 preordered anyway.

Target had two bags for $5 which isn't that big a deal. Wally World had the gamer packs for $2.48, I loaded up on those this weekend.

I believe 711 has 2 for $2 sale on the 3-4oz bags (100 points each)

 
The 7-11 2 for 2 should still be going on.  It's not bad a pair up, especially sine a lot of people report getting 2x codes in a single bag.

 
Thanks. The Walmarts by me don't have the gamer packs. So I wasn't sure what was the best item to match with the caps.

Walmart sells big bags for 2.48 and i think dollar general sells the 100 point bags for 1.25. Target just ended their sale, but I found dorito coupons there for 1 dollar off the purchase of 2 bags. YMMV on the coupons though. Usually one of the drug stores runs a dorito sale but I'm not sure right now.

 
My Walmart had a full stock of Gamer Packs on Saturday night.

Easily a quick 3K points for about $27.  Didn't get any but what is the going rate for 3K points?

Those bags are 200 points whereas the same price gets you 300 points on the resealable Gamer Packs. I think they might be smaller though.

I've been banking points for weeks. During this time I've been to 6 different walmart stores, some of them multiple times and I have yet to see any gamer packs. But yeah, if you find them, it's the best deal for points next to the CVS 2 liters.

 
Just a heads up. Price matching the 12 packs of Mountain Dew is a pretty solid strategy too.  You can net 4x for $10 at Walmart and nab Gamer Fuel.  Some stores will deny except on standard packs, get those (800 pts for $10) and then you can resell the cans for $2 / 12 pack (minus the code) pretty easily

 
Well...I just don't have the time to go out and get more caps.  Plus...I need to start being healthier.

Hey, if you don't see the display for the Gamers Pack at Wal-Mart that doesn't necessarily mean they don't have them.  There's always the possibility the display was moved to a different location.  One Wal-Mart I went to I had to ask an employee about it, and found out they moved the display to the back room/stockroom for the time being.  They had to grab the bags for me.

 
As a reminder I have stuff to trade in return for points

MCR coke 12 pack flaps. (Looking for at least 300 points per flap,maybe 200) (a flap is at least 3 bucks a pop so 300 or 200 points is fair)
A 3 month gold card (looking for at least 2000 points for this,a 3 month gold is 25 bucks,so at least 2000 points is fair)
Jarrvios cap codes x 2 (100 points for these,due to the program ending)
 
I did notice during this promotion that many of the area targets had their bonus point/auction pads cleaned out.  If regular auctions dropped to 32k, I'm curious what the Target exclusive auctions will fetch... they will undoubtedly drop as well.  Possibly even lower?

 
Last week the Target auctions weren't too far off from the regular auctions.  I think the cheapest one was actually the first one at 32k.  My Target had tearpads in a couple different locations.  The one with the display was cleared out.  I took the last two this morning.  I did find more by the chips though.

The ones I saw on Sat. were just on the regular chip rack. It was overflowing. I guess they had just stocked them or they aren't selling as much.

I didn't search for any kind of display but there might have been one also.

 
looking for about 8k total I'm getting close again any amount you have I'll buy. Hopefully the downward trend continues. I can't imagine people will still be coughing up 30k points all day by Black Friday. I bet they could drop to 20k maybe 25.

Not sure they'll go that low. I'm thinking upper 20ks. So I'm done buying anything that I don't normally buy. I'll keep raiding the recycling at work and hopefully can help out some other cagers later.

 
Thought this was pertinent for all the winners to know, I asked about the shipping information from the group in charge of promotions, this is the response that I received:

"You should be receiving an affidavit within 10 business days of winning your auction.  Once received, you will have 10 business days in which to return your affidavit.  In most cases, allow at least 8-10 weeks (although, can take up to 16 weeks) from receipt of your order for shipment of your items."

I would have like to have seen a congratulations email or something. I got the address confirm on the site and then nothing.

I got the impression it would come in the mail, but it wasn't specified in the e-mail I received.

This is the e-mail address for them in case someone else has questions for them, it took about 24 hours for them to get back to me.

won mine on day three nothing yet. I'll post asap if I get one though for other winners to know what's going on.


So I would assume shipping order is the order of affidavits recieved , not auction win order. And if you don't answer in 10 days your sol

Edit: the phone number was useless when i called earlier today, its on pepsi's end, and since they haven't received any affidavits from the promo company i'd assume they dont have any winner info yet.

Congrats! prices only came down a little bit tonight. Not sure if that means a lot of 20k people went out and got a bunch just to get it over with or if it means a ton of new people in the game...and if that is the case, are prices going to start inflating again :(

I'm so close, withing probably 5-6k but I've been dreading getting even more chips/soda stocked up here. Already have too much lol.

 
Lowest auction tonight was almost 300 higher than last night.  I've got to think the CVS 50 cent 2 liters played into this.  I know I added a few thousand points over the last couple of days and all my local CVS' were sold out this afternoon.  I'm almost there...

Swordfish, other reps are telling most people that the affadvaits are only for sweeps and premium auctions. I guess we'll see.

I'm currently paying a whole $.80 in paypal or amazon per 100 points.

I also have 10 target codes I acquired in a trade. Only want 100 points per.

 
Well I am officially at 16,000 pts. now.  I am going to hold out until thanksgiving.  If I dont win by then, I am going to sell at $0.90 per 100 pts. 

 
Other than letting you bid in exclusive auctions, what are the target codes for? Bonus pounts?

Also, when does the first auction end tonight (eastern time)?
 
Currently at 27k. Have enough to get me to 29000 tonight without doing much more digging at work. Hopefully by the end of the week will be at 32k. Seems like that might be the level for a bit.
