if you were worried about affording a computer, why not get a desktop? i'm sure you could sacrifice the convenience of mobility for the mass amount of $ you'd save.

I don't understand why these assholes don't just put down the ISBN on the site, now I have to go to the bookstore tomorrow and scope all this shit out. :|
Playing Playstation 3 isn't fun on a SDTV.
I got spoiled with a 42" Plasma and 5.1 surround sound.

Now COD will never be the same online.

I thought about it but I needed to be able to take my computer to the lab while I am writing my Senior Design report and drafting. Also, I have CAD and SolidWorks on this for myself.
You're an engineer, flowery?
Going to be, I graduate in May with a degree in Engineering Physics and a Math minor.
Will you help Mana find a job? He has a degree in engineering and could use the help.
Probably not, I haven't got one yet though I am waiting to hear back from Lockheed Martin.

No, Casey. They're supposed to be a lot sturdier than digipacks but I can't stand that type of packaging.
Going to be, I graduate in May with a degree in Engineering Physics and a Math minor.
I'm super jealous. I wish I was naturally good at advanced math but I cannot wrap my head around that shit. It doesn't help that the last time I took a real math class was in like 10th grade and the teacher was borderline batshit insane so I understood none of it and just coasted his classes, somehow.

I don't really like it either, but I was wondering if it was decent enough to stick on my shelf. I have been thinking about getting a lot of Warner classics lately.

I couldn't understand Calculus until college. I never liked math but after all the repetition in physics that makes it quasi understandable.

Some friends of mine at UT SA legit had to learn Venn diagrams in their math class, Mojimbo.

You can really start from scratch.

I ran into an awesome glitch in L4D tonight.
I was playing the third single player campaign, and came across an invincible zombie. My three party members wouldn't budge, they just stood there, while this regular zombie just slapped Francis around. Handguns and shotguns did nothing to him, and hitting him only knocked him back and he'd get right back up and go after Francis. The zombie couldn't be killed, and my party wouldn't move at all. I finally said "fuck you, guys" and went off on my own. Eventually, Louis (whom I was playing) finally said something like "Oh no...Francis!!!" and I looked down and he finally got killed, and then the other two finally ran and caught up with me.

And Flowery: I love watching Solidworks just choke the laptops at my work. They finally decided to run it on powerful dekstops, but then moved the server that hosts the files from our site to someplace in New England. And then, everyone came running to me when it took eight minutes just to load up whatever project they were working on.

Knowing how to use Solidworks would be nice. It looks super useful.

Thanks for the heads up Plume I will have to see how this machine runs it, hopefully it will be smooth.

Liquid, SolidWorks was really easy to learn for me especially if you have any knowledge of CAD it is similar is some regards.

The roadblock so far has been that I am absolutely terrified of math because I really do remember nothing from high school math, which was 5 or 6 years ago. I took "dual credit" classes in high school which basically were the same as if I had been in community college, I even got credit at the community college for them which I was able to transfer to UTSA. The problem was I coasted through those 2 years with Cs in that class and I didn't learn anything, cause I slacked off and because the teacher was all over the place.

I'm so happy the Giants lost today. It seemed like them and everyone else thought they were just going to roll and win the Super Bowl.

I don't think I'll be taking any engineering classes any time soon, but I might have to teach myself it at some point if I get into an experimental lab (which won't be ideal...I've had enough of experimental for a while...:/).

Venn diagrams. Just because you have credit, doesn't mean you have to claim it. You can easily take those classes again (and look up the profs this time on a website like pickaprof) and pay attention and work to really learn it. You sound like you could be pretty determined to do well, once you get past that roadblock.
There are also plenty of free tutoring options at most universities, and office hours can help too (but that really depends on the prof/ta).

Are you at UTSA now?

I took Algebra 1 in 7th grade, but my teacher got preggers and ended up miscarrying half way through the first semester. She took time off for maternity leave and then "Personal Leave" for the rest of the year for whatever reason. I got stuck with a history teacher as our sub who didn't teach us shit, but we all ended up passing with B's or better. That fucked up the rest of my mathematics classes in high school and everyone just let me slide by. I had to work my ass off to learn it when I went to college.
Is Burn Notice out on DVD? The few episodes I've caught have been awesome, but it seems like one of those shows you need to watch from the beginning.
Season one is out on DVD...Season two has yet to hit. Season 3 starts next week on USA.

--------

You guys should check out 'Cashback' on Netflix IQ...the premise looks interesting but I just scanned through a few minutes and it's got some yummy nude chicks

I've always been horrible at math too, i had to take a couple of remedial algebra classes because i'd forgotten most of it from high school. This semester i have statistics, which i'm not looking forward to. I'll be spending lots of time in my school's math lab getting help.

Does your wife ever put out, Linkin? I'm 20 years old and I think you talk about hot chicks/masturbating more than I have at any point in my life.
Does your wife ever put out, Linkin? I'm 20 years old and I think you talk about hot chicks/masturbating more than I have at any point in my life.
Yeah, not as often as I'd like...I've wondered if I have a sex addiction at times...not like I could ever cheat on her though...that's just not me.

Stats is easy until the end. All you do is plug shit into a calculator. The only reason it gets complicated is because there become a lot of steps to solving problems.

I think I was like that when I was 13 or 14.

I hope you're right, everyone i've talked to says it's hard. Few people seem to get As in the class. I want to use a friend's calculator, because it can store formulas, but i understand that most teachers won't let you.

Plus i didn't really get to choose teachers, only one class was available for when i needed. Nobody seems to even know the woman i've got.

Times are rough, pal. You should seriously tell her you aren't getting it as often as you would like though. What's the worse that could happen; no sex?

Superstar rapper Kanye West wants to redefine the world of hip-hop as we know it. Except his plan involves showing you his testicles, and I'm literally not joking. Here's what DJ Nudestein told the latest issue of Vibe:

"I definitely feel like, in the next however many years, if I work out for two months, that I'll pose naked. I break every rule and mentality of hip-hop, of black culture, of American culture."

Another obstacle in Kanye's quest to flash his dong is the always irksome problem of having too many people love your music. That's right. Kanye has too many fans, and he's not ashamed to bitch about it:

"I want the freedom of having less fans. It's like the freedom of having less money. If you have less money, you have less responsibility. It's like Björk. If she wanted to pose naked, you'd be like: 'Oh, that's Björk. But if I wanted to pose naked, people would draw all type of things into it."

Let me get this straight; Kanye West is begging people to not buy his albums, so he can become an exhibitionist. Excuse me for a minute:

Kanye,

For the record, I have never purchased a single note of your music. Please, do not consider this an endorsement of your new-found desire to display your jungle of love. It's actually the exact opposite. In fact, if you agree to put more clothes on top of the clothes you're already wearing, I'll walk into Target right now and start punching anyone in the face that tries to buy your CDs. You'll get less fans. I won't have to see your cock, and everyone's a winner.

Holla' at your boy,

The Superficial Writer

P.S. Did you seriously just compare yourself to a petite female Icelandic singer? Wow. That's messed up.
