Update: I am ranked 16 in the BCS. Iowa is 14th. We both were 9-3 and have a bye this week. The bowl projections have me slated to play Georgia (12th) in the Capital One Bowl. Iowa is projected to play unbanked Auburn in the Gator Bowl. We will see if those projections change after our byes. Florida and Nebraska are slated to play inthe National Championship.

I am ready to advance. I always try to do my recruiting first, so if I lose, I can just turn off the system in disgust..like this past game. :D

Disappointing that we both had national title hopes as of a few weeks ago, and then this is where we end up. Though really, you are going to a good bowl still. The Gator Bowl for me would be incredibly disappointing. The only good thing is the real life me could easily get over to watch it.

It's weird that I got a better bowl game despite being ranked lower. How do I play #12 and you play an unranked? Doesn't make much sense. Maybe it'll change after week 15.
 
Advanced. Conference championship week. Unfortunately we aren't playing. There's no recruiting that week so I advanced again to bowl week. Pvlv, you may want to pay attention for madden draft purposes:

Heisman goes to Taylor Martinez of Nebraska, edging out Braxton Miller

Outback bowl - 15 Michigan v 10 Georgia
Buffalo Wild Wings Bowl - 13 Iowa v TCU
National Championshio - Oklahoma v Ball State (how on earth did that happen???)
 
Wow, so I went up 2 spots in the rankings, but end up with an even worse bowl matchup than I had beforehand. Interesting. I think it has to be because of the fallout from Neb getting upset in the Big 10 Championship game.

Hot damn, that Heisman vote was CLOSE. I was surprised I won Returner of the Year. Outside of 1 or 2 lucky TD breaks, my returning was pretty weak.

Sorry you lost that game, sounds like it was a good one. Still, a good year considering you werent a Michigan fan, probably had never played with them before and you made it to a great bowl. Congrads on all that.

 
Damn it, I blew that game. I had a 14-3 lead at the half, ran the ball well and had only 1 incompletion. I then picked them off on their first drive in the 2nd half, before I proceeded to fumble and give up an easy TD, then throw 2 INTs to give them a 3 pt lead with 1:12 left. I drove the ball down, had 3rd and goal at the 5 with 12 seconds and tried one more play to get the win instead of settling for OT. F-n INT in the endzone. WTH was I doing?!

 
Oh man, I've done that kind of thing so many times, I feel your pain. Congrats to you too. Going that far with Iowa couldn't have been easy. You're right by the way, never played with Michigan before our season.
 
I just signed my coach to an extension. Game says that Iowa is "on the clock". Not sure what that means. I'm guessing you have to resign coaches or do the coaching carousel before I advance. When we advance next there's probably some recruiting and the players leaving stage, at which point we can download the madden class and fire that up. I'm excited for it. Hopefully we can kick it off before the weekend is out.
 
I had some contract offers from other schools, so I think it must have meant that. I set to advance though, so feel free to advance. I did notice an option to download draft class though on another screen, so you may want to do that before you advance just in case it isn't there anymore.

 
Advanced. I tried to do the draft class. You have to wait until after we do the players leaving section, which is up now. You can convince juniors who would declare to stay. When done we can get the draft class. Let me know when you're ready to advance yanks
 
Yanks, you had no one leaving other than graduating seniors, so I advanced and saved the file too. We have a draft class ready to go. It's Saturday night right now, I'm going to get madden set up on Sunday. You might have transfer requests yanks, so let me know when I can advance to offseason recruiting.
 
Ok let me know when you've both signed in and then I can import draft class and start preseason. I usually sim preseason games. Any objections?
 
Advanced NCAA through signing day. Michigan with the top class in the nation :). Position change week if you want to do that yanks.

I'm going to try to get onto madden tonight to advance preseason so we can kick off.
 
Awesome, can't wait on Madden. It will be cool to have two leagues going on so I have more opportunities to get my football fix in. :D

Didn't have a chance to play but the draft class is imported and your games await. For what it's worth, I will definitely play my first game tomorrow night and I'm itching to keep playing games through the weekend if everyone is around.
 
Unreal. Mid 3rd quarter I'm up 28-21 and suddenly get a message that theres an EA Server error and my stats and scores from this game will not be recorded. I guess I'll finish the game and see what happens, but if it doesn't count and shows up as a disconnect for me, you now know why. Frustrating.
 
I won 42-34 and it didnt count. It's cool. It's not like Stafford had the game of his life with 5 touchdowns or anything.
 
Replayed the game. Just in case you thought the Lions defense was any good, Adrian Peterson broke the record for rushing yards in a single game. I lost 48-45 as AP had 303 rushing yards and 5 TDs. Yeah, you read that correctly.
 
Wow, that sucks man.

I might be out of the Madden league. :( I have been playing it more to get ready for the league and I just cannot stand this year's version to be honest. I much prefer NCAA this year for some reason.

 
No problem. I prefer NCAA as well and since I haven't heard much from uki lets just scrap that league and focus on NCAA
 
Custom conferences: in the real NCAA, Rutgers and Maryland are joining us in the Big 10, and Louisville is moving to the ACC in 2014. I made those changes for our league's 2014 season as well. We are now advanced to the preseason where we can red shirt and make a custom schedule. I am making changes to mine so feel free to do the same for yours.

Instead of visiting Notre Dame and Miami University (OH), and hosting UMass, I am hosting Miami University (OH) and visiting #7 Clemson and Hawaii because I hear it's a lot nicer than Michigan in the winter. Kept equal difficulty just made the teams I play a bit more interesting.

I am ready to advance. I couldn't edit my schedule though, it is not an option for me in any of the menus. Probably bc I am not commish. But I don't really care either.

 
Awesome area, we had a blast. No kids and celebrated our 10th anniversary. Good times :)

I got my recruiting done. I'm on a bye Week 1, so I'm ready to advance whenever you get a chance to get your game in.
 
I've been trying to play the last few nights but have gotten stuck at work very late e Rey night. Now I'm going away for the weekend but will be back Sunday afternoon. I'll definitely play my game as soon as I get back.
 
I played, I won, and then in the postgame it froze on me.  I don't know if the game counted or not.  I'll sign back in at some point tonight and either replay my game or advance it if it counted.  If it shows as a disconnect, you know why.  It was a 24-17 win though.
