I think that there's a few games on the list, though it's amusing that CC will do that another time. Looks like they learned their lesson and they're doing $10 instead of $5.

And here's an intersting counterpoint. The $5 CC sale from last year brought me to CAG. Who else came to CAG on the $5 CC sale from last year?

I was on here about six months before the $5 CC sale. But my fondest CAG memory is seeing the original post for the $5 CC sale about 10 mins after it was discovered and then verifying it myself and running around town that Saturday night getting awesome shit...Rez, Disgaea, you name it. It was like being in a candy store that night and the next couple of days before it really got publicized.

My train of moving to CAG started on FW, then BSD and then onto here. And you can see where I ended up, didn't you?

I kind of like that it is $10, especially if Best Buy 110% PMs. That will bring down the 3 games Im most intersted in to $5-$7 (Chro of Riddick, KOF Coll, & Baten Kaitos).
 
I'm dissapointed Samurai Warriors for PS2 drops but not the Xbox Version.

I'm going tomorrow to pick up Project Snowblind but otherwise I'm going to pass.

i remembered the op getting bombarded with crap for lying until someone verified it. anyway i went to a circuit city the next morning (sunday) when they open and there were no one there looking for games except me. the clerks saw me and they asked if there was a sale. i told them yes and they started looking for themselves. picked up a few good games. coming back to cag and more stories were posted. i remembered hunting for games and reading about people's stories were more exciting than playing the games.
 
I didn't find out about this sale until now. I was in my local CC today and alot of games were missing that I knew were there before. Most were on the list. I asked one of the "associates" were they gonna do another $5 sale this summer. He looked at me and said "ughh, they haven't given us the word yet". Right then I knew he was lying. Thanx for the heads up OP.
 
they are some games on the list that aren't going to be to bad to pick up for $10. i just hope i can get my hands on a baten kaitos, project snowblind and some of those DS games.
 
Like others have said... this list is incredibly weak, espically at $10.

Most of these titles have been marked down to $10 by other stores in the past or around that number (some of them have been 15, at Kmart... I see a few titles already), and there's nothing that's amazingly good this time around. At $5, I might have budged on a few games, but no dice here.

The only one that semi interests me is Ridge Racer DS... but I don't know, I've already got it on PSP, and it might not be worth $10 to pick up an inferior version.

And about the KoF: Collector's Edition - that picture might be a mistake on CC's website, since I've never seen KoF 2002 / 2003 at a local store. But the KoF Maximum Impact Collector's Edition type deal is still around.
 
The sale doesn't seem as earth-shattering as the $5 one a year ago. Even if there are more titles than listed (like with last year), last year's sale most likely cleared out all the old treasures. Though it'd be nice to get Mega Man Anniversary & POP2 for $10 each. Too bad I won't be able to get to a CC this year.

Anyone else think the sale prices might go into effect "before" they should? As in the $5 sale when no one officially "knew" about it.

If so, might need to get to CC quick.
 
I may try to pick up Baten Kaitos and Megaman Anniversary Collection tomorrow, then go back for the 110% price match on July 3.

There's surprisingly little I'm even interested in, though. Aside from those two, all that caught my eye was Samurai Warriors and The Suffering, neither of which I was ever particularly set on getting, and maybe Ridge Racer DS, just so I can have another cheap DS game.

I joined a few months before the infamous sale of last year, but that was one of the reasons I decided to stick around. I met quite a few CAGs due to that sale, and it provided me with ample entertainment both from the games I purchased, and the constant "can anyone confirm XXXX is part of the sale..." posts. In retrospect, the majority of my posts are probably from maintaining the list from last year's topic.
 
Pickings look slim thus far....here's to hoping there will be more titles not on the list and them dropping to $5....Has it been a year since the last sale? Damn I gotta check my receipts from then....

Just so you don't get your hopes up, Best Buy doesn't price match 110%. They'll only match the price, they won't beat it, and it has to be advertised.

However, Circuit City has a 30 day price guarantee, so they should give 110% of the difference back if you buy stuff within the next week or so and go back once the sale starts.
 
are you guys sure circuit citys PM policy applies to clearance prices? thats something a lot of stores wont PM to, even though its retarded.
 
I didn't read the whole thread, but let's remember what happened at the last CC sale. A bunch of stuff wasn't actually on sale. I hope it is, but eh.

If anyone doesn't pick up PoP2 for $10, I will hunt you down. ;)

Since the prices all end in the standard .99, you can easily argue that this isn't clearance at all, and just price drops.

Like Scorch brought up in the post below me, if it was clearance it would end in something like .96.
 
I'm actually more tempted to pick up a few for Rhino's 2-for-1 than to add to my collection. Not a lot there I'm really looking for, especially since I'm being pickier about what games I buy these days. Too many unplayed ones at it is.

Any fellow Rhino-traders see any that stand out as qualifying? I'm sure Baten Kaitos would, and I'm assuming Snowblind & Bloodrayne 2. Any others stand out?
 
Fond memories of last years sale when I snagged 5 copies of Rez for $5 each. Those were the days.. Nothing too much this year... Maybe pick up Ridge Racer DS..

It's hard to say, really. They've had a bunch of price drops in the past couple weeks.

Nano Breaker might work ok, as could POP2.

Actually, for that next Kmart 50% off sale...Monster Hunter gets $30 at Rhino! I had a copy lying around from an old sale and asked about it when I was looking for an alternate 2for1 game after I found out that they dropped Contra: Shattered Soldier below $10 trade-in.
 
OK, guys, I was in Mars when it happened so I didn't know what the PriceGrabber rebate was. Can someone be of courtesy to tell me what it is and how it works.
 
I'll at least pick up Ridge Racer DS, Mega Man Anniversary Collection (GC), and Prince of Persia 2 (GC). In fact, I'll probably go early tomorrow morning to see if the prices have been marked down yet. I don't want to miss out on this like I did last year when some idiot hoarder cleaned out my local CC. I was still able to get Jedi Outcast and Mario Party 4, but only because someone had hidden them over in the XBox section, probably hoping to come back for them later.
