Damn... at $10 a pop, I'm going to have to be careful this game. The DS and GBA selection suck but everything else is decent. Hopefully, I can pick up KoF: CE (PS2), Mega Man AC (GC), and a copy of Baten Kaitos for my bro.

yup, best tip. go pick it up now (better selection), keep it sealed (for 9 days), go back for price adjustment later. if they won't do the price adjustment and tries to give you some BS, return it for a full refund.

I've got about 15 games on my would love to pick up from that list. I am going to try and hit up one store tomorrow and then go back and get them price adjusted. I know one store has a good number of the ones I want....it's kinda far though. Hell, it's the same store that let me PM the $50 Xbox from CompUSA last week (which I actually got for $40 because of their 110% PM policy!!) so maybe I'll strike it rich again. :D

This sale won't be as insane as the $5 sale though. If I come away empty, I won't be too worried about it. Most of the titles I want will likely be $10 at eb.com at some point this year anyway.

If you have to return it, can't you technically just rebuy it right then and there?

I mean, the game will just get thrown back into a "go back" cart or bin, you're saving them the trouble of restocking it.

they will give you the adjustment, i've done this before. makes it a better deal, games come out to like $8.36 after tax. i scored a couple of the good ones tonight.

Bah... I was one of the poor sops who saw the sale advertized in the paper and dutifully went to my CC that Sunday morning, only to find that all they had left for the GC was a couple of 2002 sports games. According to the employees *somehow* people found out about it on the Internet and cleared them out WAY before the official sale :D. I did pick up a few GBA titles that the kids liked, but other than that it was a big bust for me. I started reading CAG just after that, though, and made sure to get in on the $5 glitch "sale" CC had in December (the 2 $19.99 titles for $10 deal).

I saw Contra:SS used @ EB yesterday for $14.99, so I'm assuming that's why. For the most part, Rhino seems to use EB's prices as a guideline. Didn't know MH was getting $30 tho, I'll have to keep an eye out for a deal on that one. I wouldn't part with my copy, but that seems like a game that you could find for cheap @ Blockbuster or in an EB sale.
 
I like $5 better, but I'm gonna try and get in on this. I'd like to grab Prince of Persia Warrior Within, Project Snowblind, Samurai Warriors, and Onimusha Blade Warriors.
 
It's things like this that make it magical to be a part of this website. I remember last year finding out about it 1 in the morning the following day and although I hadn't joined this site until a month prior I someone just KNEW what to do and how to coordinate it, not that i hoarded, just to get as many titles as i could that i wanted.

The other funny thing was right before I found this site, i spent 3 nasty days in the hospital which really f---ed me up and when i got out i spent a few months recouperating. And yet the first real day of the sale last year I got into my car, drove in the hot sun, got there an hour early and thankfully didn't pass out. I remember weezing as I tried to stock up and I literally dragged the hand cart because I had so little strength, I was determined to get cheap games. And the other people I met there, not CAG's, shared their list and we all helped each other, it was an incredible experience.

If it brings cost down to $5, than there are a few free after rebate games on list.
 
it's an unspoken rule that if you have less than 1000 posts on here, you're not aloud to participate in any of the CC sales....the cashiers will actually check your postcount before allowing you to leave the store

You guys can do store lookup on some of the games at circuitcity.com. No stores near me have the games I wanted- Baten Kaitos and Ridge Racers.

How? I was aware that games and I think movies are only eligible for online shipping only, and won't let you do a store check since there's no in store pickup.
 
Quick question when it says Value Program for Xbox and PS2 does this mean that all GH and PH are on sale?

If so then this makes not picking up X-Men Legends and Burnout 3 the last couple of weeks worth wild to pick up during this.

May pick up the GTA Double Pack. Might also pick up Ridge Racer DS too. Guess I'll set aside a few titles for myself when I arrive at CC for work tomorrow.

Edit: Nevermind guys, I picked up the last copy today, the 25, to price match on the third.

That's me. I actually missed most of the good games at CC last year but I've gotten much goodness since then (notably free or $1 games at TRU this past December).
 
the at your store on CC.com locater may not be that accurate. I commute from Tampa to Tally and I believe I have seen Baten Katos at each CC I have stopped at during the commute.
