I was one of the main advocates saying there would be little to no hoarders at this sale - I'm glad to see I was right.
 
Well, I did get a chance to go last night. There was a bin setup, but no games were in it, so it's not looking too good in terms of getting Katos and PoP2
 
I was there at 11 this morning. At first they had absolutely none of the games out. A few guys were wandering around the vg section, but everyone was empty handed. I found a copy of KOF hidden behind something, so I grabbed it. I waited a few more minutes and two guys brought a bin of games out of the back. As they were loading this bin into another bin, myself and about 8 other guys were grabbing the games we all wanted. Everyone pretty much got what they were looking for, but they only had 1 copy of Baten Kaitos(sp). I grabbed project snowblind, KOF, rumble roses, POP:WW, and Ridge Racer. Not too bad of a haul.
 
My selection was so-so. Lots of Rainbow 6, Fzeros and pokemon games. I got the only Snowblind and POP2. there were 2 ridge racer DS's but i didn't take any. No one was there when I got there at opening.

I don't know, but i'm not as excited about this deal as I was last year. Last year I was there 10 minutes before the store opened, this year...it's like meh.

They had 2 copies of Baten Kaitos and I picked up the last copy, the guy in front of me picked up the first. They also had 2 copies of POP:WW, It's probabby not there anymore by now. I asked one of the workers to see if they had Project: Snowblind and that person said there's 4 copies left, I spent 30 mins looking for it... damn bastards hid it I bet, couldn't find it :cry:. Picked up; Baten Kaitos, Spider-Man 2, and Thief. They didn't have the 2 games I wanted, Snowblind and Mega Man. DAMNIT!

Literally almost every game on the list were there except the games I wanted.

BTW, this was in NYC, 80th & Broadway

You got SOCOM w/headset for $10? I didn't expect that since I checked the price at work last night and it was still $29.99 while all the other games were already down to 9.96.

Well, I just called my store and had them check SOCOM w/headset and it's still priced at 29.99. Sounds like you lucked out. Did they have to manually change the price?

Well, I'm not feeling to hot today so I just didn't go and I don't have any cash (was going to use a credit card)... hope you guys had too draws.
 
I got the two games I targeted, Ridge Racer DS and Proejct: Snowblind (Xbox). As everyone else is saying, CC was not crowded at all. Most of the people there were checking out the cheap DVD's. They had a ton of the titles in a bin, plus the guy working gave us a list in case there was some they didn't pull (like all the GBA games and Ridge Racer). Overall, I was pleased. Only thing I didn't get that I kind of wanted was Nanobreaker.
 
Morse Rd. in Columbus Ohio had a fairly decent amount of games left. One of the big bins was 2 games deep.

I wish more sales were like this! No craziness! I agree the deals weren't as good but I got what I wanted easily. I picked up POP2 which I've wanted forever and Ridge Racer DS which I almost passed on but it does have single game multiplayer so I picked it up. Thanks OP for the info.
 
Just got back from my CC in North Kak-a-lac....(North Carolina to those wondering WTF?). I picked up 13 games and then at the register they GAVE me a 10% coupon for today. All the games were then 8.96. Flippin' sweet!!

Circuit City opened at 11 and there was a small crowd. I went straight to the shelves while others dug in the bins. I managed to get Baten Kaitos and Prince of Persia 2. Usually I don't score any good games with these sales (ie the TRU one), but this time they actually delivered.

I arrived at CC about 5 minutes before they opened this morning. There were two or three other people waiting for it to open, but apparently they were not after the games.

Suprisingly my store had put games in a bin. This was the first time they actually prepared for a sale. It was obvious that they had missed a few games here and there though.

I bought

Bloodrayne 2 (Xbox)
Chronicles of Riddick (Xbox)
Rainbow Six 3 w/headset (Xbox)
World Tour Soccer 2005 (PS2)
SOCOM w/headset (PS2)

SOCOM rang up at $29.99, but I was able to get a price adjustment since there were 4 or 5 copies in the $9.99 bin.
 
The only game I really wanted was Downhill Domination, but no luck (Sawmill Rd. , Columbus, OH).

For the people who picked up Ridge Racer DS, please post your impressions. I thought about picking it up but passed on it. I've been borrowing the PSP version and it's really good. Even though I love the DS, I'm worried that RR would disappoint me after playing the other one.
 
Had no problem whatsoever. Was the only one wating for the store to open. :) There were a bunch of games but I held myself back and only got the following:

Sadly no Nanobreaker or Amplitude which I was really hoping to find, but it's not like I don't have plenty to play anyways. ^^ Tried SOCOM w/headset but it rang $29.99.

There were 5 or so copies at my CC, no one went for them though :)

I was hoping to get Theif as well but didn't see any on the cart they have setup. I noticed they had a ton of Manhunts, Hitman Contracts, a couple of Baten Kaitos, Mega Man Anniversary Collections GCN, and a bunch of Ridge Racers DS. Also, the Project Snowblind I picked up was the last one since I had the guy look it up in the computer for me as it was still on the shelf and not in the cart they have setup. Hopefully this helps out anyone in the area.

You don't know? It's pretty clear why: the sale's much worse. Double the price, half the games. I got 14 last time. 1 this time.
 
I still haven't left yet, I had church and ate breakfast. Think there will still be a good selection in an hour or so from now (it's 11:45 over here)?

The EXACT thing happen to me too. It ring up as the full price, and they had to do a price check to make sure it was $9.96.
 
This sale is awesome, Now I am thinking of going back, I am so addicted to this sale I already brought 6 games for it. All for $9.96 each

Just got back from the Westminster, Colorado Circuit City, ...and nothing I wanted on the list was there. :(

There were quite a few titles in the bin, though, and there were only 2 other people rooting through it when I was there. They seemed to manage to get a handful of things, but everything I was interested in, I either already had (.hack//OUTBREAK, Arc the Lad: ToS, etc) or simply wasn't there (Baten Kaitos, GBA LotR titles, Gladius, etc).

But, I did manage to snag an original, boxed copy of Star Ocean: 'Till the End of Time in mint condition, so the trip wasn't a total waste. :)

And now to just find myself a copy of Kaitos...

They had every title that I was looking for there. They had a small dump bin with DS titles and some of the GBA games. There were actually quite a few games on the shelf that they hadn't marked down as well. Mega Man didn't have the markdown price but rang up at 9.96, so I was happy.

Well I'm a happy gamer.. I usually never get lucky with these clearance sales, but today I did well.. I just got back from the Fields Ertl and Tri-County stores in Cinci, OH. I got :

picked up project snowblind and chronicles of riddick for xbox at the store in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Was disappointed tho that Rainbow Six 3 didn't come with the headset. O well tho they still ahd quite a few of each game left.
 
I just got back from the West Palm Beach CC. There was a few other cheapasses there and we worked together to find what we were looking for. Cheapasses united for one cause, it was great, dam near heartwarming. It was funny as hell. Myself along with these two other dudes had printed out lists. Anyways, I picked up 6 games.

No prince of persia though, DAM!! There was a crapload of games on the list there but I didn't want to go to overboard. After this I stopped by EB and reserved and xbox 360 with a few launch titles as well as trading a few things in for NCAA Football 2006. They have a trade in deal going on for it. I brought 12 games in and ONLY 4 were excepted as part of their trade in deal. That sucked but overall it was a very productive day in gaming.

I ended up getting Rainbox Six 3 with the Xbox Live headset for $9.99 along with Rallisport 2.

Also, I notice something strange on CircuitCity.com's listing for King of Fighters.

First of all the title is just King of Fighters: Collector's Edition but the description and image is for King of Fighters 2002/2003. But the UPC barcode number 828862200136 is the same barcode number for King of Fighters Maximum Impact Collector's Edition for PS2. So I think the description they have is wrong and it's actually King of Fighters Maximum Impact CE and not KOF 2002/2003.
 
mine had a box setup for games. except there was about 5 games in it. the rest of the games were still on the shelves. good for me I guess otherwise I might not have gotten on of the pop:ww they had.
 
that actually turned out pretty cool. i figured it would be cut throat like last years 5 dollar sale, but this time some guys there helped me locate the copy of Baiten i was dying for. Sooooo shout out to any of you guys in Missouri who just helped me
